Nice gemmy garnets, definitely mixed reactions from the local rockhounding community about the vip club… changing times , I guess the old books are becoming obsolete, great finds though

Thanks! Yes it is great to have a place that shares up to date collecting info on many old sites and also finding new sites. I've had a really good time in the VIP club. There is some occasional friction, but it's usually out in the open and transparent for people to judge for themselves.

Yeah, I’ve been tossing around the idea of joining…. I guess a lot of people are just concerned about what used to be semi secret locations getting overrun, but from what I’ve seen any place they’ve put up so far seem okay & it is especially hard to find new locations in the upstate of sc, the national forest service has stopped even letting people pan for gold, the permit was free until recently. Great garnets though & it does seem worth it for the price, we pay to be in local rock clubs so I don’t see the difference, take care & good luck digging 👍✌️
