    We’ve been in this general area for a couple of years now & unfortunately there is a lack of public space to dig

      There needs to be more public mines around there.

      No doubt about that. I wish that Johnson creek farm would do a few more digs, our rock club is trying to talk them into it

    There was a piece that looked like it had some slight purple in it. You had it touch the tip of your finger at 11:58, but you can see it a little more clearly when you are showing the pan (going back and forth a little) at 11:34-11:48.
    Looks like a fun, exploratory trip! With all of that quartz and mica laying around, I bet there is quite a bit of material not too far under those surfaces...they had to break off and come from somewhere.

      I see the one you are talking about, it does have a faint purple color at least in the video. I'm not surprised if I missed something in the screen. I dug about a foot deep just a little away from the bridge. I don't feel comfortable digging too close to the bridge foundation or directly under the bridge. All those quartz rocks and mica around there is like a shiny treasure compared to the sandstone around home.
