grr, you didn't even mention the fact that by blowing into the DS mic you blow away the scratchcard shavings! that was the most immersive feature in the whole game to me.
I’m actually quite angry that you commented this because it’s been 15 yeARS AND I SOMEHOW AM ONLY FINDING OUT ABOUT THIS NOW!? That’s so freaking cool, I wish I knew that so I could have put it in the video 😩 thanks for that piece of trivia!

I love Chinatown wars on ds It's very much of a pick and go game I just open the DS when I am bored, sell a few dr*gs then mess around with police. Then close the DS and go back to whatever I was doing before
Preordered and completed on the DS lite. I wasn’t ready for the PSP remaster. The lighting of the police cars at night make me feel nostalgia on a weird level now
Only ever played this classic on my PSP, love this game but it always gets ignored. Makes it the most underrated of the GTA games in my opinion, lots of people stick up for the Stories games these days, but rarely do people stick up for Chinatown Wars, which sucks.
They shouldn't leave the 'top down' behind yeah its not going to sell as much as the main series but doesn't mean they can't do well. A lot of love and passion went into chinatown and the 'top downs'.
When i got my hands on an iPod Touch back in 2010 or 2011, CTW was actually one of my first games that i played on it. I completed the story twice and done a lot of side activities but never managed to find the two lion statues annoyingly.
Chinatown wars was so nostalgic on the DS, i never had one but i remember a friend of mine playing it on his ds, the best feature was buying supplies or getting them from rival gangs then selling them to a different dealer at a specific deadline
I played this originally on a DSi, it was quite memorable to me. Got this video recommended because I'm actually replaying it right now, this time the PSP version on an emulator (to get a controller-only version)
Funny enough, GTA CW gameplay feels more complete than GTA 5 in few aspects. In GTA 5 you have many fun activities to do but no side missions like: vigilante, firefighter, paramedic, houses to buy or a proper wanted level system to play with. On the other hand, GTA CW has plenty of side missions and a never seen before wanted level system but no fun activities like: golf, darts, movies, rollercoaster or hanging out with friends.
Chinatown Wars is in my list of favorite games ever. It was the only game I played on my DS for a whole year. Not because I didn't have other games, but because I loved it so much.
all I know about Chinatown Wars is how much South Park was shilling it in a product placement episode the same thing they later did with Red Dead 2 - heavy product placement, it works, lol
I probably love this game more than anyone else on planet earth. And i love when RUclipsrs cover it and say nice things about it. I know it's not perfect, but no game is. For what it is, it's a hell of a game. And while the DS version might be good, i believe the PSP is the definitive way of playing this game. The graphics are nicer and you have quite a few side content (some more time trials, rampages, riding shotguns and 5 extra story missions!)
the drug dealing minigame in the game was so addicting like real drugs, i have no idea why rockstar didnt bring it back as a full fledged feature in the game since it was insanely fun

the molotov at gas station too. I wonder why Rockstar didn't reuse those features since convenient stores and gas stations mostly are share in a single area and they're are all over Los Santos and Blaine County.
Making money from drug deal made you feel like a baller, i was kind of disappointed when rockstar brought a similar system to gta online but it was just worse. Speaking of online, didn't this also had multiplayer? And the music... All in all, i had a great time with this game and its sad that rockstar probably won't make anything like this ever again.
It was disappointing that this game didn't do as well as it should. It made full use of the hardware, was a technical feat, and loads of fun. Sure beat Rockstar's previous ventures on Nintendo handhelds.
Used to play the game on my DS (lost it. Probably left it my cousins.) Now I have it on my phone. Strangely, its still funny to me. I don’t know why? There's no dialogue and yet I laugh at the cutscenes.

Hi do you think that GTA 6 should be more than just Vice City or Leonida. I expect diversity in game map from Rockstar like San Andreas. They could add multiple cities like San Fierro, Las Venturas and smaller towns. A vast desert area would also add 360 degrees change. Because SA is the only game in the series which has the best map so far.
