Browsing GTA V's brilliant internet
Grand Theft Auto V's internet was the first time that the in-game internet was accessible at at time through the mobile phone. The websites in the game are just as good as in the previous game. In this video I want to take a look a some of the many websites and webpages in GTA 5. Let's surf the web together!
GTA V has been talked about ad nauseam on RUclips, so if you've chosen to click on this video and give it a watch, then I thank you very much.

Revisiting the Las Venturas strip | GTA: SA

Las Venturas is a haven for those who long to party and gamble their life away. In this video, we take a closer look at the Las Venturas strip and appreciate the design of the various establishments along the way. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was the last time we saw Las Venturas, so it's nice to go back and soak up the nostalgia. Timestamps 00:00 - Intro 01:12 - Old Venturas Strip 02:01 - Las...

Grand Theft Auto IV's internet was a very unique moment in tech history captured by Rockstar Games. The websites in the game are absolutely insane and unhinged. Hello everyone and welcome to the channel. In this video I want to take a look at the latest update for the GTA VI mapping project. This time round, we have a version of the Florida panhandle added to the north of the map! It's really starting to take shape! For Grand Theft Auto VI, the community has been hard at work ever since the 2022 leaks, and have recently incorporated data from the first...
The troubled art of Open World games

Open world games are my favourite. It's been my favourite genre literally my whole life, starting with games like Grand Theft Auto and similar titles to others like Minecraft and Cyberpunk. In this video I want to talk about some open-world games that I love and also look at what more recent games bring to the table. From GTA style games, to over the shoulder action-adventure, to RPGs and more,...
Where is the GTA: San Andreas VR port?
Просмотров 7 тыс.Месяц назад
During the 2021 Facebook Connect livestream, the Zuck himself announced that they have been working with Rockstar Games to develop a "built-for-VR" version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. This was initially going to be a Quest 2 title, but we seem to have moved beyond that now. Where is the San Andreas VR port? When could we next hear news about it? *CORRECTIONS* Nothing yet! If you spot any ...
Where have the "GTA clones" gone?
Просмотров 406 тыс.2 месяца назад
When Grand Theft Auto 3 released in 2001, it carved out its own unique genre. Since then, there have been plenty of other games that have come and gone, trying to connect to the same crowd, but have had trouble with staying power. Saints Row, Just Cause, Driver... all series that have fallen by the wayside in recent times, and nobody else seems to be willing to give the genre a try. So that beg...

Grand Theft Auto IV's Liberty City is a time capsule, filled with 2008 nostalgia. In this video I aim to go over some of the things that I personally love about this game. This isn't a review of GTA IV, this is just a collection of things that make it special to me. A kind of video essay I suppose? From the city itself, its atmosphere and interiors, to the technology of the time, how you intera...
GTA V's gameplay was a *downgrade*

Hello everyone and welcome to the channel! In this video I would like to go over a few points that I feel represent how Grand Theft Auto V's gameplay was downgraded from previous games. Mostly though, my problem is with the three main protagonists and how the gameplay and story is divided up between them. There's definitely sacrifices that have to be made in order to accommodate these character...

I feel like when they designed GTA 5 they did it JUST so that the story could have it's set pieces. Trevor's character suited a desert area, and Michael and Franklin had their respective suitable areas. But even if this was the design philosophy, there didn't need to be so much goddamn desert.

The short answer is: they’re now too expensive to make, for anyone else to bother. SLEEPING DOGS never got a sequel, so what hope does anyone else have?

  • @bigdaddychacha
    @bigdaddychacha 13 часов назад

If I had to speculate, I’d guess that budget is an issue. Wasn’t GTAV, like, THE most expensive video game ever made when it came out? How can smaller publishers compete with that, especially when they know that they’re not specialized to really do anything as well as Rockstar does, so they’re basically guaranteed to work for a long time with huge numbers of departments designing hundreds of overlapping systems for a guaranteed inferior product? Sleeping Dogs was an incredible game and I’m still waiting for a sequel to that. The first two Saints Row games (especially Saints Row 2) were good, but then they jumped off the cliff with all the goofy, zany stuff. Watch Dogs looks like it should be fun, but the UI of actually doing even what should be the simplest tasks is cumbersome and exhausting. I do like the promise of open world games, but one thing a lot of companies have to get away from is polluting the map with too many waypoints and collectibles and activities. That is a frequent problem.

As a former flight crew member and a rare fan of the keyboard controls for the aircraft in the game, I do agree that the game would've been a lot better if half the airspace restrictions from Story Mode missions made it into the openworld both in Singleplayer and Online. It also would've greatly supported the game if there were much less places you could land the aircaft. The planes right now, unless something that released 2015 or before, take too little road to take off and land, helicopters take off too fast and are very easy to dispose. I don't say this in a sense of realism, I'd be the last person to know anything about aviation, but when it comes to the aircraft in this game, be it their lock-on missiles, ease of access, and agility overall, they ruin a LOT of aspects of the game. Perhaps the only thing holding them back is the steep learning curve for their controls, which is already at least 50x easier on controllers in comparison to keyboard and mice. But as a seasoned online player, I gotta say. Maybe the map was also designed with Online in mind. Again, GTAV is unlike any other GTA before it, there really isn't much to exploring the map on your own apart from numerous scripted events in Story Mode or some menial collectibles. It instead wants you to memorize and learn the map, learn it's exploits, learn its spots, learn its spawn points n etc. etc. This helps heaps when playing thing like Online the way you're meant to* (AKA without cheating with modmenus). To know LS and BC as the back of your hand, to know where to go for the nearest helicopter spawn, the best place to lose cops, the best place for having fun with a dirtbike, the best place to try out a new car, know where's what when you're told the name of it... It's so incredibly useful in Online as you're constantly given new tasks in the open world freemode. If there's a distinct lack of that progressive sandbox of the prior games, it more than makes up for it with the sheer still-unmatched flow and absolute overflowing uniqueness in every single location.

Oh gawd, I was worried about map expansions. I guess if they just add land mass then, maybe… but if they plan on adding cities to the empty space we see throughout the map then I would say that’s a big L in my book. I’d rather a complete game then being spoon fed little generic city areas that feel so boring.

Perfectly explains why GTA V got boring quickly for me and the reason why RDR2 is so much more timeless compared to GTA V. As many have stated below, Blaine County feels like filler designed to throw a change of scenery into the game for the sake of having a change in scenery... except it serves little to no purpose. The only thing it offers that Los Santos doesn't have is Darts and some decently fun offroading. Both counties have basically no immersion, so you're left to choose between the setting and population of urban hipsters or country rednecks. The whole map is lifeless, with Blaine County being useless. Online provides a small remedy to this problem by introducing safehouses so you can travel to safehouses in Blaine County for a little bit of isolation if you wish to. RDR2 is a perfect example of how video game maps should be built. Each region actually has a purpose. Granted, hunting and outdoor survival is not required in GTA V, but RDR2 gives each state and county some character by having different biomes, different wildlife, various random encounters, varied populations and numerous dangers that give a slight edge to travelling through different counties. The different regions offer some immersion and a purpose. Whether it be fighting off bears in the Grizzlies, hunting deranged serial killer gangs in Bayou Nwa, Tall Trees or Roanoke Ridge, or looking for a bit of safety and peace in the green plains of the Heartlands, each region is unique and there's always a reason to stop by each one. GTA V doesn't have that.

My biggest gripe is nothing to do with women but get dissed by them or smack them. If streetwalkers put out, why not the other women? They aren't angels according to the dialogue. Second gripe: no children, even Mike's kids are grown. Third gripe: players must be strung out on drugs because they never eat. Fourth gripe: cops magically know you're the suspect, even when you change cars.

Mafia is not a GTA clone, american media have made it look so! at the time GTA 3 was coming out mafia 1 was also close to realese and american news made it seem as a gta copy (so it doesnt effect GTA sales). Mafia is a conpletely diffrend thing, its realistic focuses on the story more then the openworld

I am concerned your asking for more mega cities though, we don't want that, they just need more low-end versions of properties in Sandy Shores. In 6 hopefully there will be one big big city, maybe another city, and other towns that you can still do everything it, TOWNS, not cities, but TOWNS!(like Sandy Shores for example)
