Don't patch a mattress, or tyre, or anything inflated WHILE ITS INFLATED! The air pressure will just push a path through the patch and adhesive. Blow it up, find the hole, mark the hole, then deflate and make the repair. THEN once it's all dry inflate and test.
Patch the hole with E6000 glue, available in grocery stores, drug stores, hardware stores, Walmart. You do not need to glue on a layer of any rubber or plastic. The glue alone works. Allow at least 3 hours drying time. I find holes by listening, feeling with my hand and the soapy bubbles method. Put in a LOT of air to help your search for leaks.
Thanks. I saw another video which made the point not to use a rectangular patch because the corners are more prone to peel upwards than the edges of a round patch are.
If you have a automatic blow up bed that deflates all the time . It is normally coming from the actual switch area . There is a video now on here where a man puts a sealant all around the switch area . Enjoy from me in London 😷🏴👍🏻
I just bought an air matress and it has the built in pump that plugs in. I had to put more air in it every night. I took it back and got another and it had the same issue
I tried for DAYS to find the leak with dish soap and water. My suggestion ? Don't buy any of these. Ever. Again. Get a memory foam pad or something. Also, it seems like the matress gets a hole right after the warranty runs out (90 days).
HANDS DOWN BEST WAY(s) TO FIND ANY & EVERY *UNDETECTABLE* AIR LEAK ★1st Method requires an adult CAT; (I don't advise using a kitten due to unpredictable cuteness and craziness that may lead to additional holes!) ★★ But no lie... Fill the air mattress up pretty good, make sure any tv, or whatever is off and quiet & sure enough your Cat should hear/find it. I've tried it with my (3) cats -After 1st one found the leak I brought the other 2 in one @ a time & 3 outta 3 all found the same spot! ★★ 2nd Method- I get close enough to where I "think" the leak is with my lips and it works everytime bc your lips are extremely sensitive with tons of nerve endings; you can feel the air allot easier than looking for it! BTW: We all wouldn't be on RUclips looking for crazy random solutions if we weren't hard up on trying anything that may be the "OMG that's freakin' awesome, baby believe this worked!?!" Kinda answer!
I can not find a leak. I'VE LOOKED and looked. Both sides at least 20 min. I 've looked in the cracks. I do not know how everybody find it so fast. please tell what to do next. This is a new mattress. I looked LONG enough
Get a Kleenex tissue and separate that in half so that you have the lightest tissue. Inflate the mattress and then pass the tissue along the mattress and when you see it moving after it's laying still then you know that's where the hole is at. The ideal is that the lightest large piece of tissue you get will be pushed by the air instead of wasting soapy water and trying to clean it with a lot of rages.
the last time i did listen to those youtubers to smash that like and bell button, my iphone didnt work, i did try to use samsung but, same, was broke... oh and yes, my laptop dont work.. using my my old huawei now, but not smashing anymore
0:25 if you thought this guy sounds a bit full of himself or dish soap in a bottle sounds a bit like an old wives' tale, I saved you the trouble by trying it myself & can confirm that it indeed does not work. Most people also wouldn't have a kitchen big enough for an air bed, so his suggestion to do it there is a little bit lame.
Eventually they all get holes in them, that's why its smarter to repair it. Thry can cost quite a bit of money if you juet buy a new one everytime it gets a hole.
Once an air mattress gets a hole in it, nothing will fix it, it will just slow down the air leak, I had an air mattress nothing I did worked, it just slowed down the air leak. Best to buy a new air mattress.
@@the-engneer Jesus did. I don't know how he heard ass because I distinctly heard, "Jesus Christ, can't I just get this hole plugged in my...... mattrASS!?" Ahhh, simple mistake. Jesus just misheard. Thank you for the video.
What is the purpose of "scoring" the surface beforehand? It is to make it smoother for better adherence of the rubber cement?
It's to *rough it up* to allow the cement to adhere.

***update*** found the leak. Hole was in the seam on the side. I had to inflate and listen.
Well it’s necessary if you don’t want bedbugs from an old disgusting apartment 😣

What I'm seeing is just straight hot glue appears to work best - don't even mess with patches and cover the leak with the hot glue instead.
i saw the process but you did not sit on the bed to verify that the process worked.

I used this product and was very satisfied. You can get from this link: amzn.to/2ZduAfs
I blowed vape smoke over. I could see punctures easily.
@@hariions That's "blowing a lot of smoke", though..
just to let you know if you clamp it between two bits of wood
Thank you!!
Decent question here but seal the hole from the inside out??
D JORDAN how the fuck you gonna get inside the mattress 😂😂
