- I went back to the UK for part of December & January! This is a travel vlog-style video and watching all these clips back makes me so happy! I hope you enjoy seeing a little window into my life back in the UK and where I grew up! I also go through my sketchbook from the trip and do some drawing with you back in my studio :)

Although I love colour, I was so inspired by the striking black and white layouts. Wonderful. When I feel intimidated in my sketchbook I go to random pages to draw and somehow it takes the pressure off me. Problem is, it won’t be chronological.
I feel the same way! I love using colour, but sometime you can't go wrong with black and white :) Drawing at random pages is a great idea! I instantly feel reluctant to do it that way because it wouldn't be in chronological order like you say, but those are the kinds of things I'm trying to let go of so I just do it!
Your sketchbook really tells a story, have you ever thought of creating a graphic novel ? Black and ink suits you well.
Aw that honestly means so much to hear, I would love to do a graphic novel one day! I just haven't thought of a story quite yet. Have you done anything like it before?

@@Rachelkellygraham_ That's exciting! My advice would be, if you're thinking about it, to take the plunge! I spent a while thinking about it and then realised that the best time to start is now. Let me know if you have any questions, I haven't been doing it long but maybe there's some things I can answer or help with!
the landscapes are so cool !!! makes me regret that I didn't travel more when I lived in the UK.
thanks for the vlog, you motivated me to give sketchbook journaling another shot and I loooove the spreads (the those in cornwall and the one with the train too) and since it loàks so good in your sketchbook I'm gonna steal the idea of those box/comic like composition ;P
the landscapes were amazing right! Especially in Cornwall :) Where did you live when you were in the UK? Definitely steal the idea! I find it a really easy way to draw in my sketchbook, and there's lots of ways you could play with the compositions of the boxes :) I hope you had fun drawing?!
