You truly are selfless Adam, it’s great 👍 to know your there looking 👀 after this pond , filter and koi, giving your time and effort shows you care, what a difference already in the condition of this Koi pond setup. Now you can see the pond water 💧 is clearing up every time you visit, there are some big and beautiful Koi in there. You should have got a mention in the Queens birthday honours list for sure buddy, take care. 👍🏴
Recently found these videos and I would like to say thank you for being such an awesome neighbor, and thank you for helping those fish. Wish I had neighbors like you.
Nice work! Prazi is great and you can’t overdo it which makes it great! It’s not cheap so you’re 100% right on having the gallons correct before treating. You’ve done good work! Appreciate you taking care of them….
having ponds even small ones teaches more than a little class section in education.. flukes huge topic and with flooding areas , well water quality is a skill both for fresh water fish and humans. salt water fish oceans bit more to learn from.. and a pond does not have to be neglected to have flukes ! it is a natural process that indicated problems ~ and diligent observation. thank you for posting..
I'm so glad you are doing this for the fish. Fish seem to be an animal that a lot of people see as disposable, which is sad they are such wonderful creatures! ❤
I love what you’ve done with that pond with the tools you have, it’s nice to know people care these days! I’ll keep my fingers crossed that when the house sells maybe someday you could do a new pond for the new owners. Wouldn’t that be great! The orange koi are a nice color!
This video really shows that a fish pond is a real commitment . It requires constant maintenance and can be an expense . There are Koi rescue groups that will help with relocating . It appears that the fish have been reproducing and are in general good condition . The owner actually had a very nice set up ,but it got to much for him to keep up . This video also demonstrates how to maintain a fish pond very nicely . Thank you for great video
great work in my experience a nice letter reaching out to the people watching the house would most likely allow you to re-home the fish and take the stress off them since it isn't there thing.
Really interesting video thank you! Maybe you could set up patreon or kofi pages for donations so you can raise money which is an option as you're teaching people and help with your costs, especially as this is a job for free!!
Top bloke Adam I take my hat off to you mate🙌. If the home owner don’t want them anymore and wants re home some i have room in my 1500 gallon pond mate 👍
I'm just seeing your channel. Nice job! I'm glad your loving your neighbor as you would yourself. Mark Chapter 12 verses 28-33. Yes your dead neighbor could no longer care for his pets and you have done what you would have wanted if it was you!
The pond looks great now that the filter is working properly. Hopefully the new owners of the house will appreciate the koi and keep and look after them as there are some lovely koi in there.
Another great video, thank you helping the fishes. Can I suggest you don’t skip filming filter cleaning ? It’s like pimple popping videos - I’m sure your viewers enjoy the whole process it’s quite satisfying to see a filter go from mucky and gross to clean and efficient. At least it is for me. 😂
You're a good lad Adam, a credit to the koi hobby. Hope any new owners of the pond take care of the fishes and appreciate your efforts! Keep the videos coming, look forward to your weekly updates
The man in heaven has been complaining to god saying ‘look at the state my pond is in’ and god said ‘don’t worry I placed a pond angel near your pond to clean this up’ you’re the pond angel.
I just recently used formaldehyde not sure how effective it is against parasites yet but its helped out with my algae problems 👍👍 another top video thanks
Beautiful job fish are definitely happier Since you did the treatment won’t that kill all the worms and natural food they can get Are you feeding them as well
I've had a a small pond since 2010. Half the fun is trying to figure out how to fix problems. I got round the ammonia problems by routing the outflow from the filtration system through a bed of marginal plants. Native Iris are easy and very efficient. The set up in the video would easilly convert to that system. But I realise that this is not your pond and your care may only be on a temporary basis.
Have a question was there an aerator or irrigation I noticed when I put one in my pond the quality of water was absolutely amazing but it looks absolutely awesome he did a great job saving those little guys
Appreciate what your doing fair play to you. But if this was a neglected puppy or cat you would of called the RSPCA. They would remove them and find them a home where they are looked after.
I was going to say the same thing. Why not call the RSPCA to rehome the fish. I don't know anything about koi, but I have a feeling that they are bored out of their minds in that little pond. It looks too small for all of them. Please call the animal rescue, don't let them live like that any longer.
It’s good that.you are able to help out fella and as said I nice little mini series too boot. Now the weather has improved so as a fluke problem, I test waters each week and all the parameters are well within but I have had a blanket weed issue from the tap water being 2 mg/l of phosphate, this has led me to dose resolve twice to start to lower my phosphate level and now have flukes 🙃 so in answer to your question I am on second dose of flukasol and like you have observed the fish initially start to liven up. Great job Adam BR Phil
can ytou make this a whole show with all the first episode to the last one. love to see the total show and what happened to the fish at the end. thank you
What actually are Flukes? I'm guessing some kind of tick-like thing that pond fish suffer from? Edit: Aww, well I hope the fish are alright, being bitten by those things obviously can't be any fun.
There are also other flukes that can affect humans when ingested contaminated food or water. Also praziquantel was the best treatment for these type of parasite as far as I remember on our parasitology class
You can only see fish flukes with a microscope. There are other types of flukes that you CAN see with the human eye. An example being Andreas Brehme's goal for West Germany against England in 1990 World Cup Semi Final.
Huge respect to you Adam, really good experienced about Praziquantel too. I'm little worried about the circulation, because it's to near about the water pump in to and the filter pipe out, don't know if pump power cable just max.
it certainly woke the fluke up lol i tend to use and prefer to use FX1 against fluke as i find it a lot easier in the mixing of it plus iv a drum on the system once again good video Adam
If it kills off tapeworms, it might kill off the rest of the worms in it too, so I'd imagine they would need more regular feeding? Anyway, great job, I hope you do keep us updated on them whenever you can, I like this rescue project of yours.
Great job, I have to ask though, with tanks that big do you need to use dechlorinator still? Or does the small input of water let it "age" or not make enough of an impact on the fish/bacteria. I ask as someone who has only ever had 200L or so tanks.
Excellent job giving these Fish a better quality of water. Question for you. You topped up the pond with tap water directly into the pond , I do the same when needed but I aerate the water by spraying into the air above the pond , is what I do unnecessary?
You've done wonders for those fish, perhaps hoover the bottom to shift the rest of the crap, obviously your only helping out, itl just prolong the life of the fish now
Any reviews on this products yet (i can't find any on the web). It's around £60 so more expensive than Learnex Pro and treats 25000litres vs 20,000 for learnex. So marginally more expensive given that it treats more litrage. But it's an expensive process and the key thing is to nail the issue.
@@harvindersinghuppal2162 I have had resistant skin flukes and have tried everything so last week I tried the flukesove plus and that also did not work. As a last resort I managed to source enough for 2 doses of Supaverm which I put the first in Friday and second 24hrs later. Have scaped a fish today and no flukes found. 2 months of trying and at last something worked.

It's not about the subs or advertising this man is a tru koi or pond keeper keep it up mate not many about on RUclips 👍❤
We'd love to contribute to some fish treatments and snaccs if possible

This is so nice of you. Thank you for existing.
I'm not even interested in fish lol. But you're just genuinely likable. And I do like maintenance and stuff. Subbed!
Those Fluke look like monsters under the microscope! Look at those jaws!
Poor fish, at least your there to look after them, seem some nice sizes to. Well done to you for seeing to them.
Brilliant job Adam you are doing a fantastic job on that pond I’m sure the fish will be a lot happier 🙏🐟🐟🐟🐟🙏
Fair play to you there are still some decent people around.
Adam, you are a diamond ! Stay safe and well my friend.

Subbed, I found myself quite facinatedby the cleaning of this pond and the overall health of the fish. Impressive work mate, pleasure to watch 🙂
That’s a top job on the pond mate, fish will be happier now!
You are one of the kindest persons i’ve ever seen. Thanks for all ♥️
Dunno how I got here, but I’m sure the late owner of this pond would be grateful someone’s taking care of their fish.
Great job Adam many thanks sharing your a good man taking time to look after koi hope they find good home 👍
Hi Adam, Good informative video. Fluke Solve or Fluke Solve Plus is really good. One of the best I've found. Terry.
You and Adam r the best for information about ponds 👍
Thank you, much very appreciated. Terry.
Hats off man. Taking care of a pond and fish going above and beyond! Great work!
What on earth have the fish been eating while the pond was in such a state
Worms, lots of worms
Dirt no joke that's what they eat mud basically that's why people don't eat cod and koi fish
Algae and small amounts of plant life
And as the other dude said mud and worms
@@anonymousf.a.p7940 people eat cod all of the time.
@@anonymousf.a.p7940 cod is very different from koi, I mean it’s a salt water fish. Do you mean carp?
