The pond water is full of nitrates which is good for the plants. Its part of the nitrogen cycle which is one of the main things that allows things to live.
I notice the garden exploded with life from all the pond muck and water drained into it. Seems like a marketable resource if you get through a lot of it....
As this pond is still not being looked after and the house up for sale I think you would be able to remove the fish and re home them as they are being neglected I would actually call your local rspca and talk to them . I watch all your other videos I do think this comes under neglect
first off there’s no promise the next house owner won’t just discard these fish all together. As no one “owns” the fish since the original owner is dead it’s morally and ethically a good thing to home these neglected fish with someone who would take care of them ( they are not being looked after by anyone and would have died if not for this mans intervention.) Chances are they will have a much better life with him because as you see they aren’t even his fish and he’s taken care of them 10 fold thus far. The pond is overstocked and the bioload is too heavy to keep up with it. These fish have a better chance being rehomed no matter which way you look at it.
@@SethInNeverland Legally, the estate of the dead person owns the fish. I agree that they should be rehomed, even just half or however many you need to so it's not overstocked would do a world of good for them, but imo it's easier to get the owners permission, who probably don't care, than to call the authorities.

I just found the first video of this series yesterday and seen you haven’t posted the series in over a month. figured there wasn’t going to be an update in a month or two but here it was on my recommended saying *three hours ago* and I couldn’t be happier!
Well done sir, I personally never realized before that a man saving neglected fishs deserved a medal - but now i know and at the same time enjoys the extraordinary satisfaction that lies in watching you saving these magnificent animals and at the same time making things clean, beatiful and all the stuff working again - I love it so much.
This vid popped up in my feed after I'd spent far too long watching a build of a wild swimming pool. I'm so very glad I found your channel. I'm watching all your videos, in no particular order.
Hi there. Just found your channel. I have a small pond with native guppies in it. We live in Nth Qld Australia so the fish survive well outdoors. Ive had lots of issues with the pond. It leaks and it gets mucky very quickly so im taking hints from you on my pond. Im happy to have any hints on keeping it clean. The fish and pond came with the house. I was told the previous owners daughter put in about 6 guppies and they bred like the proverbial rabbit so we have a lot.
Love this man really good to see there's good people out there who care I mean you didn't have to do any of this but you did because you care and that's awsome I bet the fish appreciate it
There may not be a family. If the pond's former owner had no siblings, or his siblings died, was a bachelor, or a widower without kids or whose kids emigrated , left no will etc then the estate would be in the hands of The Treasury, lawyers/"heir hunters" etc
Apologies if this has been addressed already in previous videos, but, is there a reason you haven't removed the fish temporarily so you can drain and clean the pond and then replace them? Would that be a huge undertaking or something possibly frowned upon by the property owners?
I think he mentioned in one of the videos that he hasn’t been able to get in touch with the owners and didn’t want to mess with the fish without their permission
Also to replace that volume of water and treat it would take quite a bit of time, and then to start the bacteria cycle running you would need to reintroduce either some of the dirty water back into the pond filter or add some more chemicals to give it a kick start.
Love following you on this mission bless you what you are doing for these fish really hope there Is a good outcome for these koi I know you will do your best ,love how laid back you are ,take care and thank you x
Great video 🙌🏼 The crap i just scraped of the bottom of the neglected pond, at the House i bought. . Oh my days. It was Black gunk. 8000 liters pond, now sitting all clear and beautiful. Just bought the oase biosmart 14000, hoping it Will do the job.
I started out watching a cute kitten video. How the heck did I end up here. I have a huge pond in my back yard. It's a natural occurring one, and I don't clean it that this. I do, however, use natural solutions to get rid of the duck weed and such. I have about 16 Koi and some sunfish, perch, and a few others. I also have fountain in it . It's very relaxing. I can tell how this must have been a very serene place when someone cared for it. Such lovely flowers. Sad to think of it now.
I watched your ads and I'm commenting, be great to see them fed and maybe introduce some hardy lilies for the poor guys. Great work pal I couldn't of left them like that either.
For the motorized part of the pump, try to test the motor's cables with a tester. Check for any voltage, if the reads are 00 it usually means that some cables got ripped or, if the pump has any, the transformer is faulty. If you have a correct reading, it means that the motor is stuck or faulty... hope this help... sry for my English, i'm from italy 😅. Very good job 🤝🏻👍🏼👍🏼
I love the video I got a question I noticed that the pump had a lot of extra hose do you think there's a reason for that or you think you should cut it down just to keep some of the algae from collecting on that extra line I noticed I got some really good extra water flow
Did you check the waterfall hose. If it's clogged maby its causing the main filter to not start pumping because it won't prime. Unless the hose on the right circles around to the filter.
1 am and youtube asks me if I want to watch a video about an outdoor toilet with fish in it in an English backyard. Why yes youtube I want to watch that.
For some reason the first one came up on my RUclips home page and I've loved watched these. I know they're gonna come to and end when the new owners inevitably get rid of the pond but I hope you can rescue these fish eventually
It’s very nice that you are looking after thous fish. Have you not thought about catching the fish and taking then home into a temp pond at your house to keep them
I’m sure he can afford one as his set up would be very expensive to buy, maybe he just prefers to use a wet and dry vac because it is not his pond, good plan b.

10:00 dont you have to twist the pipe union/fitting anti-clockwise to get it off and cleaned? I was shouting at my phone wanting you to do that lol but i still love you for doing this
Would it work to scrub up the sides and bottom with a brush and remove half or most of the water then refill it with clean water, or would that be too much of a shock to the fish? Asking because fish tanks vet done that way so Im wondering if a pond is just different?
I thought you all on that side of the pond called it a Hoover?!?? With gunk gone off of the bottom, it should start clearing once the nutrient levels in the water dissipate. Good luck with the pond!
Would be a cheap and easy upgrade to put a tub between filter and pond, half fill it with gravel, plum in a tub overflow into the pond and fill the tub with plants that like their base in a foot of water. Doesn’t take a lot of plants to clean up that much water, would add shade too possibly and would look better than just a pipe to trip over
Also it makes no sense running the hose all the way around to the other end then back to the filter end where the pump is then a satellite back to the other end again, strange stuff, cut all that out and have inlet/outlet at the filter end then wherever the pump sits nice use the satellite from there as long as needed. Clears one end to walk around🤷♂️
How much does a set of replacement filters cost for that thing? Would changing those out clear things up, or does it need chemicals to offset the full sun or something?
Adam, it's a credit to you for your attitude towards this pond 👍Is there are bio filtering in the filter box and is the tap water killing any colonies of bac?. Fair play though mate
Jesus, the flower area where you originally dumped the old filter gunk in the other videos is growing like mad 😮
Pond gunk is great fertilizer 😂
I noticed. He was right when he said the gunk is good for the flowers
It's almost worth having a (no fish) disgusting pond to make the rest grow like that.
The pond water is full of nitrates which is good for the plants. Its part of the nitrogen cycle which is one of the main things that allows things to live.
I use my mucky pond water in all of my garden, everything grows like crazy from that water 😂
