How to Get rid of DUCKS from your Swimming Pool or Spa. Two proven methods.
I had a pool that I was cleaning on a regular Basis and for over a year the Ducks had become a huge problem.
I show you two methods here to rid your pool of Ducks, one high tech and one Low tech. Both effective.

We tried a line around our new pond (about the same size) as our first attempt and it didn't work because the ducks just land in the middle of the pond. The only thing that worked for us is a physical barrier, meaning a 10m x 15m net over the whole pond. And even then they initially still managed to reach the water as the net is brought down by their weight. They couldn't move around in the water but still seemed to enjoy it. The net is now about 30cm above the water. Now they stay away - even though they still fly over at 2m height regularly to check it out.

My wife got scary owl statues from Bunnings and put them around the pool and I'd swear they attracted more ducks !
Funniest thing was when she tried to shoo them away and one chased her out of the pool yard hissing at her.
We also had 3 ducklings sucked into the skimmer and had to put a wire basket in front of the entrance to act as a barrier.

I use laser pointers the minute they show up.
Freaks them out and they leave along with the crows and ravens

I poured very concentrated chlorine(only diluted it with little bit water) on the surface the ducks like to sit around, it works as long as the smell is there. But the chlorine will bleach whatever it touches so don’t use it if you don’t want this. I don’t minded this since the paved area near the pool in our house was very mossy, and now looks like new. I also got some ultra sound birds repeller in the mail and hope it will yield some good results.

Then why continue with the ineffective snakes - as seen in the video? I am keen to know? Btw: chasing an unrelenting Maillard couple out the pool area has become part a diurnal activity. We run an Inn nearby Fire Island NY

Pellet rifle. Works every time. Take out the female and the male goes looking for another someplace else.
