Volgun arguing with J about what makes a survival game reminded me of Limmy's "but steel is heavier than feathers!" bit.
I like how J contradicts himself during the argument when talking about survival horror.
JFJ wrote himself into a corner talking about how Link doesn't eat, then specifically introduced that counter-argument by talking about other survival elements. Link has to eat SOMETIMES, situationally, and more importantly, has to manage heat and cold. Survival against the environment is a major part of the genre, and that framing just makes the weapons another finite resource.

@@richardchicken923 what I think he meant is that one thing is a survival *horror* game and another is just a survival game, in which he is correct, it's like saying a survival horror game isn't exactly a horror game, in pure survival games you have way different mechanics than in survival horror, the same that happens in regards to the relation between survival horror and just pure horror, in most horror games you cant fight back and have to run away from danger most of the time, in survival horror it has horror elements but it allows you to tackle the enemies, albeit in a more reserved manner than action games themselves

Haha yeah it is strange how video games rely so heavily on literal children. On top of that it's scary how powerful some of them are. I'm confident that 9 year Link could easily kill me based on the the insane athleticism and durability he shows in this game.

That was a masterpiece, unironically the best playthrough of this game I have ever seen. Also those animations were seemless!
At 2:55 - 3:00 could not have possibly been timed better. Having Volgun's message back that lead to this snowballing butterfly effect of how this video came out, correlating with the "Take me with you and I'll help. Deal?" line is absolutely perfect in an almost cosmic act of fate. Also the rest of video was hilarious that too :)

Also, to the N64 controller layout: In Banjo Kazooie, the C-Buttons are the camera, which is super easy to use if you put it on the analogue stick. The C-Buttons would later become the C-Stick on the Gamecube, so it makes sense to use the analogue stick and suffer mild inaccuracy rather than a mangled control scheme.

This video felt like a slow drop of Neo’s sanity, and the only reason he came out sane is because chat didn’t force him to go out of the way to get Fierce Deity’s Mask. Volgun and JFJ helped a bit, they kept his sanity up a little, like the healing items in Amnesia.

this video made me realize again that majora's mask is such a beatiful and unique game, thanks for this neo, it's really beatiful
I just realized something. the happy mask salesman is one of the only NPCs to acknowledge the ocarina of time's power, however implicitly. he plays the song of healing and then has you play it. yet only when YOU play it are you healed. not to mention, he knows about your interactions in the unrealized future in a way that implies he lived it, which shows that not only does he know its' power, he can mimic it to an extent. He also surely knows of the moon's falling, yet says "if you don't get the mask back, _something terrible will happen."_
This implies that something even worse, even more incomprehensible than the moon's falling will happen.
I think, realizing that, this game just got a little scarier.
Finally.... A masterpiece we don't deserve
The only stream of anyone playing through a whole game I've watched in many years.
Holy shit this video is so high effort. So many stream videos on RUclips are incredibly long while also having a lot of the down time where nothing much is happening but this is just a really good highlight video with great editing throughout. Definitely an underrated channel even with 100K+ subs.

This is great. The amount of work you put into editing it really shows and the voice talents of everyone involved really made this play through stand out. The visual gags and the animations flow nicely with the other parts of the video as well. The effort into making this was well worth it.
