    I love the feel of the ink balls but I find them very hard to find at times in the semi / rough

    I love the look of the Speed Soft Ink. I purchased a box but have yet to play a round with it. I will within the next week or so.
    I have played the TP5x as well as the Tour Response. All are great. I'll be honest with you, as a 15 handicap I don't score better with one over another. The feel is slightly different to me amongst the three I have used but that is about it.

    I'd love to see the pix in yellow, always a shame they don't offer it to me

    I was happily using TP5x until I bought the special Easter edition with the donut pics. They seemed a lot harder than the TP5x I had used previously (perhaps TM jazz up batches that fail quality control or maybe they were jazzed up versions of the previous model rather than the current model?). I switched to Tour Response Stripe with the blue stripe and was amazed at how the stripe helped me fixate on the ball when putting rather than watching the putter head...my putting improved enormously. I didn't find thenstripe distracting when hittingna fairway shot, either. The problem with the blue stripe is that it can be difficult to find the ball in the rough. I have now bought the mixed dozen with 3 blue, yellow, red and green stripes. Hopefully one of those other 3 is easier to find in the rough without losing the fixation benefits of the blue stripe on the green

      This is a great move, glad it's helped! We've had a few reports of them being harder to find so it would definitely be interesting to see if that's a colour thing or just the stripe design in general because unfortunately hitting the fairway isn't always an option 😂

      That's good to hear, seems to be a strong ball for the value, and a funky pattern too if it's not too hard to find!

    I'm a high handicapper that likes the TP5 a lot. Tried the Speedsoft and was surprised how much it felt similar to the TP5 to me. The feel is definitely much better to me than on the Distance ball. It has me thinking about switching almost exclusively to the Speedsoft. By the way . . . I read that the inked Speedsoft is made in a different country than the white version, so I'm about to try the inked version to compare.

      That's news to us but they could be and would be very interesting to see if there was a difference in feel/performance like you can find from white to yellow golf balls. Feel is half the battle and can really give you confidence on the course, so if you're happy with the performance too, you'd be onto a winner. Finding a ball that you're happy playing consistently with is key, and if it's as cheap as Speedsoft compared to TP5 then that's even better!

      @@GolfShopOnline I just went out and grabbed a dozen of the blue. According to the print on the boxes the inked balls are made in Taiwan and the white (didn't check the yellow) are made in China. I doubt there would be any noticeable difference.

      I wouldn't have thought so, sometimes manufacturers will need extra space and facilities for mass production but the materials and processes will still be the same to produce balls within their quality control/tolerance range

    A question please Mark. Do you need a higher swing speed to get the best out of an X ball such as the TP5X?

    • @GolfShopOnline
      @GolfShopOnline  2 месяца назад

      Great question! You will probably get slightly more out of them with a higher swing speed as you will be able to activate more of the core etc, but it's definitely NOT a necessity. You will still access the benefits of a premium ball over a budget ball at any speed to some degree. The premium greenside spin and feel is mostly in the cover/outer layers as regardless of your max swing speed, these are lower-speed shots, so no one is really activating those inner layers anyway. Hope this makes sense!

      @@GolfShopOnline Thanks, confirmed what I thought. I have tried out the odd Xball that I have found on the course and there seemed little difference in terms of distance. As far as summer golf goes, I use Snell MTB which performs extremely well. Just ordered a box of Snell Prime 3 to see how they feel against the old MTB. Keep up the good work, your videos are very good.

      Thanks, we really appreciate it! Distance will be very similar through ball ranges, it does tend to be spin, launch and feel that can vary a bit more. Snell balls will be really interesting, they're definitely up and coming with some strong reviews

    Is it true that noodles are Taylormade balls?

    • @GolfShopOnline
      @GolfShopOnline  12 дней назад

      Yes looks like they are. There have been Maxfli noodles in the past too so whether the brand has been taken over or they're 2 different balls, I'm not sure. Doesn't look like they're too widely available in the UK anymore, so you may find they're discontinued, but it's not uncommon for these brands to take over a budget ball too, much like Acushnet/Titleist with Pinnacle
