These newer 6.7 trucks are so good when it comes to making power tune and exhaust only. I love tuning them and customers faces first rip after the tune says it all.
I have one and was told not to turn it all the way up because the stock air filter and cold side intercooler pipe would not hold up to it. What’s your thoughts?
@@cjoutdoors2623 I have mine on a hot tune 24/7 and rip it through gears 2-4 at least once every time I drive it, and that’s every day!! I’ve had no issues as of yet but I also leave trans torque limiters enabled just massaged up a little out of the way. I make a little less boost because I’m at 6000ft elevation. My suggestion is buy an intake and a SPE hot side pipe from Corey’s link in this video description and send it.
@@JaegerWrenching I dunno the exacts of what my hot tune has. I know it’s a 230 tune from a shop that does nothing but power strokes. And he warned me that the stock filter and intercooler pipe couldn’t handle the pressure very well. But I didn’t know if that was more so he could cover his tail or if it was a true concern.
@@cjoutdoors2623 Your stock filter is fine unless it's dirty at which point it should be changed. obviously it'll get more restrictive the dirtier it gets and thus get sucked in. I’m going with a pusher 5” kit, 69mm turbo, egr delete and 5” exhaust, plus the tubes. I’ve already had a dpf delete. As you can tell from my profile pic, it’s a big dually though..
At around 55 seconds you here the exaughst hissing and then it shuts off back to a deep rumble a couple seconds later. My truck is deleted and tuned as well and does that every once in a while when idling. What is that hissing from the exaughst? And why does it only do it for a couple seconds? Is it releasing pressure from the turbo?? I like that hiss lol
When applying a plug in a tire squirt the plug with WD-40 or any other type of lubricant the plug will go in very easily the oils will dissipate quickly the plug will not pop out try it the next time
So this kit will leave the EGR intact? I have been hesitant with the manifold bolt risk, but if this doesn't need to eliminate the EGR it eliminates that issue.
Ok. Question. How is the stock air filter holding up to that kind of power? The guy who deleted my truck told me not to run tune 5 because the air filter couldn’t stand that kind of pressure. And also the cold side intercooler pipe is prone to pop. How did it hold up?
@@cjoutdoors2623 Dude, that factory VGT was in such bad shape when they pulled it, lol..
