If I remember correctly, a Sith acolyte is lower in rank and power than an apprentice, more like a Sith foot soldier. So assuming the term acolyte is not used in this series as a synonym for an actual apprentice, it would be interesting to know the role this character is intended to play within the Sith.
Pretty sure acolyte was someone just starting out their training
acolyte is like what maul was initially or like what ventress was. essentially a tool the sith apprentice trains to take the place of the master or be used by the two.
@@ABrickInterestyup. Yords got it wrong. The helmet guy isn’t an acolyte. Mae is the acolyte. Helmet guy is the Sith apprentice. He’s seeking out Mae as his apprentice to help him overthrow his Master. Showrunner kinda confirmed it unknowingly. In an interview she said “when the Sith apprentice starts craving the masters power, he seeks out an apprentice of his own to help him overthrow the master. That is the acolyte”. So Mae=acolyte, helmet guy= Sith apprentice, and the Sith master(likely Tenebrous but won’t be seen for a while if at all until second season or later) is hiding in the shadows undetected and will likely kill this apprentice and Mae and than go on to recruit Plaguis completing the connection to phantom menace

@@Xemnes135869 More moral ambiguity in SW seems like a good thing if its done right but you can't just abandon the soul of SW. Saying SW isn't about good vs evil and light vs dark shows a fundamental misunderstanding of what SW is in the first place. SW is about choices and how they alter your path and that is very clear both in the OG and prequel trilogy.
But the real problem is that people don't have faith in Lucasfilm telling good stories right now. It's not because of wokeness, it's because we haven't seen them do a good job of it outside of the Mandalorian. They haven't earned the faith of the fans, so the fans aren't giving them any benefit of doubt.

This trend among modern feminists, where they imbue every show or movie with misandry, has become a problem for fantasy and sci-fi fans. They will make the main character of a story (who happens to be male) and make him a secondary-side character, completely changing the very plot of the source material (Like the Witcher). Or, they will turn a female main character into a symbol of toxic masculinity (like RIngs of Power). Or, they will just outright gender-swap the main character to a female, which the've done so many times now. This nonsense needs to stop. What's worse is that if we comment on it, we're often called misogynists. This needs to stop.
It's also extremely hypocritical and devious. They've become the very thing they hated in men. Stories used to have great women and men as characters, but now we see an all-woman casting and a repeating theme of demeaning men. True equality would equally represent both males and females, not just one or the other. This is creating more cultural problems than it's solving.
Hollywood needs to stop lazily shoving their hypocritical political beliefs into their productions. It breaks the immersion and creates more division and culture wars. Good writers with skill and care can create uplifting stories that have great plots, world-building, and character development. This is just fan fiction with surface-level writing that uses virtue signaling to attack anyone who critiques it.
It's not that it looks bad. I just don't care anymore. The franchise needs a full stop and change of story/style. Let what's made, rest and move onto a new feel.
