I had to cut it down a ton to align with copyright policies, so be wary of that. I felt a lack of impactful music was a bit of a sore spot for me. I realize there are a lot of issues with disney star wars but this has been a big one lately.

Ironically, Jecki's fight felt the closest to a live action Ashoka than the actual live action Ashoka
That is because the Showrunner wanted action in this series. People are dogging her for it too. Like she wanted to try to beat the prequels. Try is the key word. She set a bar that the prequels are here lets try to surpass it. Does it mean they will no. However it means that you're trying. I have my problems with the show. I think the story is rather weak. They made key mistakes in storytelling. The action though in this series has been top notch for a tv show. They put their actors through the training process it shows.
like you said that short sequence with Jecki felt more like Ashoka fighting.

I also believe importance of fighting without no dialogue makes it better. When Jecky and Mae was fighting while talking I couldn't take the show serious.
This music definitely elevated this scene into bad ass territory
Okay, this is what I like to see. One thing I've never liked about Sequel Era lightsabers is how heavy they are treated. The actors move with these slow, wild swings. That Rey/Ren fight against the guards was the exception. Here, they seem to finally be getting it together.
See i think it makws sense tho. Like they do not have the same type of training that prequel and high Republic jedi had so they're just not gonna be as fluid as these guys.
Like ahsoka vs baylan is a perfect example (i think) of a nice mix between prequel and sequel fighting.
This fight is like pure prequel style and i fricken love it but im just saying different eras, different styles and it makes sensw
Jedi before the fall of the order were PROPER trained jedi from being a child. thats why they were far more intensive and fluid

One thing I’d like to point out is that both jedi master and Padawan beat their respective dark side counterparts. Master Sol would’ve killed Qimir had it not been for Osha and Jecki managed to subdue Mae.
The show managed to balance making characters fodder and giving them plot armor, the Jedi were defeated but weren’t incompetent and neither were the Sith.

What I love about this fight is basically Sol and Qimir are pretty evenly matched. Qimir kicked ass because the Jedi didn't know the Sith exist for 1000 years. Then as Qimir was worn down from the dual wielding girl, Sol starts to gain the upper hand. Also the unmasking of Qimir is really well done.
Jecki is a beast considering she is a padawan too

@@azharuddinzahaur7683 I will disagree. Quimir got one kick in. After Jecki died Sol took him out in 3 moves, Osha had to save him.
@@drointhewind480 You forgetting the part where this guy literally blast 8 jedis including sol and send them all flying.
Sol would have killed him because sol is a better at hand to hand combat. However in a light saber duel, Qimir would have killed him.
Love what you did here. You really took an okay scene and lifted it up to way more engaging and intense. My only qualm, and I don't know if you could upload a slightly longer version, is the lack of the beautiful master/apprentice fighting of Sol and Jecki towards the end. You went straight for Sol's lightsaber being distrupted, while the previous sequence has some very nice moments in it.
Similarly you skipped on Jecki's cross block against Qimir, which was also very well executed.
Other than that, hats off to you!

This guys is making a better work than the fucking company.
This sheds this sith lord in a new light for me and makes me really enjoy the character. He definitely feels like an Old Republic villain, even his voice. He's the only good thing about the show, we should have had the show all about his journey to becoming a sith master.

Dang. The way Sith Stranger (we all know his ID of course, just calling him this regardless) calls Master Sol out on “a master who hides their face from their pupil” only goes to show that he knows Sol likely has his own darkness that he hides behind his “Masterly” side which he normally shows.

i havent watched the show, but this is the best piece of starwars media that has come out since Andor, and it was your 3 minute and 59 second video lol. Tell me how disney cant get anything right, but you made this one of the most amazing peices of starwars media to watch in recent years, under 5 minutes.

Uh..... The fight is from the show and the entire episode is solid. He edited / cut to focus on a particular storyline within the fight and layered epic music on top, but Disney gets credit for the underlying material being so good to begin with.

This is soo good😮, and yet.. it can be better. If you were to start the video by having him float into frame behind osha, flicking her away, then going attack the jedi, then if you'd add the massacre in which he slaughters them.. it would just crown it make it perfect along this score. Props to Disney that they really nailed the FIlipino Sith lord if there was ever one.. A guy donning a motorcycle helmet in a rain coat looking as if he was about to ride his Suzuki Raider.. aka "the Kamote rider" look.

this fight and reveal actually reminded me heavily of that fight and it’s actually the only fight we’ve ever seen like this in live action
@@TONEDEAFSOUND There’s how some of the lightsaber clashes sound like ricocheting bullets, kinda like how they sounded in the clone wars 2003 micro series. Always found that satisfying to hear during Anakin's duel with Ventress on Yavin 4 or Greivous's introduction.

I like it as an edit. but my only criticism is that it was so loud throughout that didn't allow the tension to build then release. Sometimes the lack of sound in spots tells more of a story than music does. for example, had the music built up until Jecki died, and the sound cut off at the death blow, his face would be revealed as the music returned and concluded.
Hopefully if the show returns and a true Sith Lord appears it will have such a score
At the end of the episode comes the kylo Ren theme which means he must be the first Ren
As someone who doesn’t enjoy Disney Star Wars (aside from Ashoka and their attempt with Kenobi) you good sir have earned a new sub and my respect, the music fits the fight scene and the sith warrior perfectly. He does give me Revan vibes but you just sealed the deal for me on this one. impressive, most impressive.

Hmmm...I like the flow of your original edit better. The cuts here are cleaner, but the change in music broke the flow of emotion. This is Qimirs big moment and everything here revolves around him. I feel like the Revan theme should be there the entire time like the other one. Also, I really liked in the original one the Jord voiceover portion, and how when Jord says he gets into your head and stays there it immediately cuts to him doing that exact thing to Mae.
I do really like how you cut out most of the fight between Mae and Jeckie. The dialog there was just bad.
The music almost made me wanna see that show but i shouldnt. Excellent work though. It gave me the feels
And why shouldn’t you? You willingly let other people make your mind up for you? Get off the hate train and just watch the show. You may or may not like it, but don’t let the masses decide for you. Tons of grifters online and so many falling for it. IMO, it’s not perfect by any means, but man am I enjoying this show a lot! People act as though the prequels weren’t full of issues.

It would've been cool if his eyes were that of a sith in that last shot as he looked up into the camera.
so odd that helmet could stay on when he is whipping around but a couple whacks with the hilt of a lightsaber and it just pops right off

I like this show and it does have some great music in this episode but this is the FIRST TIME (in canon) that the jedi have encountered a sith post sith-jedi wars so i think they shoulda been way more dramatic

Funny, i dont see anyonr bringing up how he used a bad move to kill her. Both jedi and sith refuse turn there lightsabers on and off like that
One thing I never understood about Lightsaber combat in general is that the fight sequences make it seem that swinging a lightsaber is weighted when in reality it would be like you twirling a flashlight around.
If that's the case many should be able to go longer in combat without getting tired.
Does using the Force drain a Jedi/Sith energy over time where it makes the lightsaber feel heavy or is it just for dramatic theater effect?
I always liked the idea of them being insanely heavy for non force users.
Light saber doesn't drain them but using the force does during any duel both masters are using the forced to exert pressure on his opponent and this pressure does tax the body over time the sabers weight is irrelevant infanct if a master was fighting someone who isn't using the forced and has no protection on himself on the forced pressure the that master could just throw him up down or to the side.
I think it’s clone wars with the training Sabine got you can see wielding a Sabre definetly isn’t easy and if not weighted there is admirable force pressure involved the masters and Sith Lords just make it look like a piece of cake
I don't know why Disney skipped the part of the dark side influence in the body. Like the orange eyes for example.
And that's not even the half of it. Just wait and see what season 2 looks like. Yes. Lucasfilm has already gotten Disney's approval for a new season, which will cost $150 million. The title, which is not yet official, will be Glorious Shadows.
