Just had my first cut and the lawn is the best it has looked at this point in the year ever. Yes, warmer temps here in the Chicago area earlier helped, but this RUclips channel has helped the most. Thank you!
I cut for the first time on March 25th applied pre-emergent and triple 10 from Andersons about 3/4wks ago. I have the greenest lawn on the block. Well I’m the only one that cut. Cheers from Detroit
Very cool that you’ve got a golf hole project going. I’m getting ready for the first cut this year, it’s felt like a long winter. We had plenty of rain last year and fingers crossed we have similar results this year. 👍🍻
Just got my first mow in last week. Out here in utah, still dipping in temps a bit, but it started growing pretty early and needed a shave down before it got ragged.
It's almost that time!! Question - can I put down pre-emergent if I over-seeded last fall? I don't irrigate and we had a dry fall so I'm not convinced much germinated in the fall. If it just sat there, will it germinate this spring and therefore I shouldn't do a pre-emergent?
Personally I wouldn't put any down and would be ready to spray post emergent early summer. Check out my video last spring on my front yard spraying early crabgrass
the downside to living up north. in maryland, i started lawn season on Mar 1 and already took care of weed treatments, dethatching, overseeding, one liquid and one granular fert, and already cut it twice! debating moving further south so i can have even more lawn season
Can’t beat the gas blower. The handheld electric ones have their place for quick easy use on small things. I’m a no thanks for electric backpack blower though.
30 mins with 4 batteries? Seems likes a huge waste. Plus those batteries arent cheap. Gas all the way for bigger commercial type equipment imo. I also have the Rev 26 coming as well. Sold my Swardman for it.
So the price point for the Milwaukee scissors is 399, did you feel like it was worth the money vs the rotary scissor head that you have used previously???
Have you had any issues with your swardman? I have had multiple things one being the drum breaking twice within a year. You’ve had yours for a few years now and I was wondering if you had any issues. Also swardman customer service is slow and hasn’t been the greatest.
They are growing way more rapidly than I would like. As soon as spring really hits they will start to look worse than everything else because they essentially get scalped from too much top growth. It will all green up soon
@@ryanknorrlawncare I see, thats interesting. Here in The Netherlands I don't see the grass getting dormant/yellow at all. But I do see it at your place or in Sweden which is colder as well. I wonder what the threshold is in temperature for that to happen.
@@ryanknorrlawncarejust giving you a hard time. I do appreciate the equipment/product reviews as I'm a starting out lawn hobbyist I look to your channel for guidance and inspiration. Thank you
I get we have EV vehicles and that is perfectly fine. But I will hold on to my gas mower and other lawn care equipment for as long as I live before I switch to electric. I can see the argument of start up time but when the batteries die for most homeowners they are not going to buy 8 batteries for a seasonal fall cleanup.
Love your videos, however I'm curious about something? You have the "dog spots" 🐕 where they pissed on your lawn, and is obviously already dark green after they did. Why do lawn nuts such has myself not take hint to that? I fertilizer in the winter with a fast release fertilizer and keep a green lawn all winter long. Yes I'm further south with the perennial ryegrass, and other grasses , but it's obvious your law lacks nitrogen. As the dog's urine is high in nitrogen. I get those spots when dogs pee in my yard and that let's me know " oh the rest of the yard could use that lol. Now obviously the opposite happens if there is to much fertilizer in the lawn , bc a dog's piss will burn it. Just like our pee. Anyway, your entire lawn here could already be super dark green if you started the process earlier. Just curious as to why you don't?
Because the lawn is just still dormant. Those spots grow inches per day which is way too much. The rest is greening up now on its own and will be growing nicely soon without overgrowth
I understand innovation and the need for it. But the price they are demanding for a product that performs less than current offering is astonishing. I obviously am not their target audience, but I simply can't figure out whom they made this for. The backpack is a joke, 15 minutes on medium with 2 batteries!? Besides that, solid video as usual.
Milwaukee looks weak AF!!! Ego , hell even Ryobi has better IMO ...4 18 v , 30 min run time...bcuz def need high if you dont need a Phy therapy appt after using the bk pk .. and yup , the upcharge for extras
agreed Brother , I love Milwaukee besides a few recent let downs lol and tbh , All of the big boys are trending towards up-selling us what is needed for optimal performance!!@@ryanknorrlawncare
about to mow again here in Coastal VA 60,s , 70,s and rising with all this rain!! mowed at 3.5 " x 4 days ago plus 20 hrs of rain "Jesus Juice" cuz its free lol and atm it appears to be about 7" plus!!! MVS TTTF / Texas Bluegrass 80/20 mix. Ryan someone spiked my lawns punch!!! @@ryanknorrlawncare

Cheers everyone to “I can’t wait any longer” and to another lawn season! Let’s Go!

Oh yeah! Bring it on!
Lawn therapy is now in session 👍🏻💚🦸
Great Video Ryan, and glad to see you again. I'm ready for another season.
glad to have you back in the new season! cheers!
Uplifting and feel good vid Ryan. We're still a few weeks from starting our lawn work, but I love watching your early progress and plan of attack.
Appreciate the production quality. Great video!
Exciting times to get out there! Looking forward to the content
Yep mine starts next Friday. Glad I'm getting all the spring cleanup and hedges out of the way. Always a big rush

The two most important words in battery run time are “Up To”.
Lawn season is Back! Can't wait to start in my area slightly jealous of guys. 😊

hopefully hitting the lawn for the first time here in SE Minn this weekend
Just got my first mow in last week. Out here in utah, still dipping in temps a bit, but it started growing pretty early and needed a shave down before it got ragged.
Yesterday was my first day out in the lawn too! Looks like spring has sprung in central Iowa🎉
Always enjoy watching and getting tips. Thank you!
Looking good Ryan can’t wait to get out there myself!
Cut my lawn Thursday 3/28 here in Rochester NY. Similar weather as you.
He's baaaaaack. Out of hibernation and ready to go. Great to see an old classic Swardsman.
Is the Milwaukee version of the rotary scissors available to the public? Can you link it? Thanks!!
Yeah I couldn't find it online
I have the link in the description of the video. It should send you to home depot
When I grow up I want to be Ryan Knorr
Thanks man
So keen for this season, I’m
In aus so ours is coming to a close! Finally Milwaukee has brought out that power head attatchment!
Received my RK box and added coupon! Thanks RK onto lawn 2024
The makita looked effortless. I have a Stihl and an EGO. I love the electric, but gas moves WAY MORE AIR. No comparison.
It's about that time, huh?Anxious to see how you plan to handle cutting all the grass. 😀 I hope Ernie is doing OK...
Awesome! Can't wait to see how your season goes. 👍
The green and golf course 😮. Wanna see that this summer!
ego / makita rock and that Electra is sill the OG...got to love that thing!!

Can we get a barndo full tour?
I still have four or five inches of snow.
I'll be mid-May before I start. So yes, I'm jealous.
That's a lot of waiting yet to go!
Can’t beat the gas blower. The handheld electric ones have their place for quick easy use on small things. I’m a no thanks for electric backpack blower though.
“I definitely wish it was a lil more green, I just can’t wait any longer” I had early green up but I definitely said the second part lol 😆
Here in Central Wisconsin I'm fighting the urge to get the lawn work going. Another week I think...
First Aussie 😁. Ryan , the lawn Therapy starts now . 😎
30 mins with 4 batteries? Seems likes a huge waste. Plus those batteries arent cheap. Gas all the way for bigger commercial type equipment imo. I also have the Rev 26 coming as well. Sold my Swardman for it.
Grat to see the genuine article back at it! Is the land for sale across the street from you? Need a new neighbor? haha
Just gotta get past this week in NJ (rain and chilly) then it’ll be warm constantly. We made it tho!😊
So the price point for the Milwaukee scissors is 399, did you feel like it was worth the money vs the rotary scissor head that you have used previously???
So far yes. It's lighter and much much quieter with a great cut but I don't know yet about long term durability.
Ryan,
Still thinking about bent grass for the green?
That's the plan
man, I want to come play some golf at Ryan's course.
Looks like the gas blower is much better. Thanks for the review. 1500 for the blower and the batteries. Lol

Will you be doing a Swordsman vs Revolution video?
Need an Echo 9010 and you’ll be able to blow the mulch to the neighbors property🤣. So glad it’s almost April. Finally cool season time
I look at your front yard and I see a runway!
Since those dogspots are so green, wouldn't it have made sense to put fertilizer down earlier so everything is greener now already?
They are growing way more rapidly than I would like. As soon as spring really hits they will start to look worse than everything else because they essentially get scalped from too much top growth. It will all green up soon

We hit -21 F actual temp this past winter so it gets pretty cold 😬😄
@@ryanknorrlawncare Thats very cold indeed! Past winter we didnt go below 14 F and that was rare as well.
We’re back!!!
Not even comparable
I think I dethached too early in march. My lawn is looking terrible despite it being in ok shape during last summer.
Kinda hoping you will invest into an EcoApplicator
I have an Eco 250
Battery works well for some things. in my experience, blowers are terrible to use with batteries. It drains the batteries very quickly.
Thats the one thing I hate about the rotary scissors, they are so stinking loud.
Conservation of volumetric flow, small diameter nozzle, higher velocity. Not an even comparison with different diameters
Gas blower was doing a lot better 😬
It definitely feels more powerful to me but I plan to get that tapered nozzle to see how that works out
Nice commercial lol. $1500 for a battery powered blower. No thanks

Milwaukee Marketing Misfire
petrol all day
$1500 for 15-30 minutes of battery life? I'll stick to gas or even plug-ins.
I think mainly they're targeting people who have batteries already for the $499 price.
What's your old lawn looking like please tell us your going to at least do a pre emergent app for the new owners.
