See how it goes. Holland seems mature for being only 18. He's a big wing that's very athletic so hopefully the shooting coach Vinson the Pistons got can teach this young man the tools of the trade. I like this pick and I like the fact that Langdon is in charge. He's got a good mind for the game.

I was just going to bring up the Fred Vinson shooting coach, you beat me to it. I'll add though that many are saying is one of the, if not the best shooting coach in the league. He was last in Memphis who has had 12 players become better shooters when they originally were not coming out of the draft.

Tbf, not likely but if Ausar and Holland can become decent enough shooters to play together, we could be scary good and that’s just offensively. They both are high IQ guys with underrated playmaking chops, athletic freaks and, decent to good handles.

I'm old time pistons fan by now. I watched live, all the games against the Celtics and Lakers back in the 80's with my Dad. I think the Pistons have drafted plenty of talent in the last 10+ years and it's obviously not working out. The game itself has been changed and team building seems incredibly difficult anymore. I remember When Detroit won it in 2004 and how they did it was great defense and a whole team approach. Seems like a handful of teams can do that and a lot of it seems to be sheer luck over the last 20 years? I'm not holding my breath.

Lol I didn't mean for old news to be rehashed. I love both draft picks and well see if the G we picked up can be a small forward. I'm surprised we didn't pick up any expiring contracts during the draft. Then again. It was a week draft. But our Pistons got 2 steals. What I see is that the bad boy pick and roll is coming back to Detroit and we have a wrecking ball coming to the rim. As long as he can hit his free throws. I also heard now that the Pistons have speed they will design defense at first to create steals for a high powered fast break. It will be easy to work on their shots off the fast break.

I'm tired of hearing this team drafting for more potential. We hear this every year and they don't develop their players. They actively sabotaged Ivy and have relied too heavily on Cade and have stunted both of their development so far. Thompson is in the process of falling victim to this same problem of not getting enough playtime or a consistent role on the team. The only guy who I would say is actually developing is Duren. At least when he is healthy and that is in spite of the team and staff not because of them. This team needs an actual system that includes every player being involved on offence and defence. Till then they will continue to fail.

  • @luniz4209

Pistons are gonna be pretty hard to watch next season. I don't expect to see much Holland, Tech deserves to start at SF next season and Ausar should be ahead of Holland in the rotation. Also I disagree with the "pump the brakes on the can't shoot", for every guy you listed that learned how to shoot in the NBA, there are 5 that never did. Sounds like they're going to struggle to sign any FA this offseason, other than Tobias Harris I can't see any FA being willing to come to Detroit. Seems likely we'll have the 5th pick in the next couple of drafts, maybe by that point the Pistons will have moved on from Thompson, Ivey, and Duren anyway.

He normally subs out all of the starters for scrubs, spots the opponent 10pts before putting the starters back in. he started killian hayes and isaiah livers over ivey and ausar. many more head scratchers im not gonna mention anymore.
