Kimmy was my favorite character honestly. I always liked how Chucky wasn’t lonely anymore because she was there. I had a close connection to the Paris movie. I played the game and watched the movie all the time as a kid.
Just wanted to add that the pilot was definitely aired, I remember seeing it on Nick plenty of times when I was a kid and wondering why Tommy had a red shirt in that episode way before I understood what pilots were in the 90s. Really great video though, Rugrats was a real classic to grow up with, happy to have gotten to enjoy it as a kid!
Brady Kaynee I miss her too she was a good voice actress. I didn’t even know that check it was was by a girl it’s nice not a credit but she did a great job anyway.
I gotta say. Rugrats as a kid was one of my favorite nicktoons! Everytime it was on I would drop everything and go watch it even if I saw said episode a thousand times. You could imagine how frustrating it was for my parents when homework rolled around. X'D As for All Grown Up...I liked it. No. I don't think it was as good as the original series, but it was a unique direction for the series and did allow for new stories and new characters. The muscular principle always got a chuckle out of me. The one that always seems to talk to Dill for some reason. But yeah. As for a reboot...honestly I hope not. I'm happy with what we had. I feel like bringing it back would result in another "Teen Titans GO" series or something.
I miss the show growing up. I get anything to see it again. I also want to see all the other 90s nickelodeon shows I miss all the 90s Disney shows and all the 90s cartoon network shows. I may be young I may be getting bigger and age but I’m still young at heart. And I miss my childhood.
She was only learning how to act from her home environment, her workaholic, domineering mother, in particular. That is predominantly why she is the way she is, right down to the dual tsundere relationships which both Charlotte & Angelica - as mother & daughter - each have with the prevailing guys in their lives (Charlotte's authoritative dominance over masochist pushover husband Drew as Angelica's doting but easily manipulated father & her resentful, sniveling personal assistant Jonathan, which is in then mirrored through Angelica singling out Chuckie to pick on whilst barking orders to her own blissfully naive hefty lackey Harold).
I was not a big fan of Rugrats but I like it nowadays since it grew on me. Also, I LOVE MY BOIII REPTAR! I have a big plush of him that I like to hug while watching this video. :D
One thing I didn't like is when Dil came along, Tommy lost his sense of adventure and is too protective of Dil. Seasons 2 and 3 are the best in my opinion.
Dil did take away from Tommy's independence and leadership a lot and funny enough the first movie did address this, but the show creators wanted to show a positive sibling dynamic. Though not all Dil episodes were bad. Things started to lose their chemistry for me when they added Kimi. Her and Chucky's relationship didn't feel natural to me even though the Paris movie was really good.
Lloyd Irving Personally I think Kimi was good for Chuckie's character and that was where the strong sibling bond could have developed; despite Phil and Lil's ALREADY strong relationship, and I thought Chuckie getting a mom was a much better storyline than Tommy getting a sibling. Especially since the show put emphasis on Chuckie missing his mother and wanting one.
icecream hero Angelica was on another level of mean though. She was straight up evil. She was still mean in later seasons (4 & up). But just not pure evil. She had some redeeming qualities about her. Angelica only became nice in All grown up, when she could no longer bully the babies.
Childhood , both then and now , it also my teemage years .as All Grown Up came out when i was a teen , Bring back Rugrats and pass the torch to their kids , the nostalgia would sell alone
RIP Joe Alaskey (Lou), Christine Cavanaugh (original Chuckie), Jack Riley (Stu). I know Nancy did a great job replacing Christine but if they do make a remake idk how they would be able to fill Riley and Alaskey's shoes.
Kath Soucie Did A Fantastic Job Voicing The Deville Twins And Betty Deville, In Fact, If You Listen VVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRY Closely You Can Hear That Phil (Almost) Sounds Like Betty Deville!!
@Dexter The Nostalgia Toonster Kath really fooled me as Betty, ‘cause she sounded exactly like Charlotte. Yes, both voice actresses were good, but Tress MacNeille was the one who made this show great.
Despite the large dislike for all grown up I still think it is my favourite era of rugrats, I don't know why, I just have always liked it. there are episodes I can't stand but the majority of it i love
Rugrats was part of my childhood! Thank you for this video ♥♥♥ I loved the movie when Tommy's baby brother Dylan was born ^_^ the show was great, I wish they'd do a reboot of All Growed up instead of the babies again xD lol.
After Tommy gained a brother out of birth, and Chuckie gained a stepsister obviously out of marriage, Angelica was the only young character who stayed an only child. I didn’t think the show needed any new young characters, only a stepmother for Chuckie after his biological mother died.
Does anyone else want a one off special with the rugrats reaching to adult stage? I just want to see them in mordern day (internet and tablet etc) given All Grown Up was a product of its time per say (early 00's). Also wanting to see them having kids of their own whose has their own adventure too!
I always preferred the original era (pre-hiatus) episodes over the newer seasons. To me, those episodes were more entertaining and had more charm. The later episodes looked better, and some of them were good, but they were a little more boring in comparison to the older episodes. In the newer episodes, they went a little overboard with mispronouncing words, and it wasn't really funny. I did love all 3 movies though
Rugrats All Grown Up was good for that "what if" episode, essentially the special. There really wasn't a reason to make it into a series though cause it was kinda boring. The whole point of the Rugrats was to see the world through the naive eyes of babies, misinterpreting everyday events, causing them to overreact to things and go on adventures in the backyard.
Even though this video was focused more on the Rugrats, and they said that the Rugrats was the only Nickelodeon tv show that got a star on the Hollywood walk of fame I think SpongeBob deserves a star on the Hollywood walk of fame. Does anyone else agree with me?
They should do another Rugrat special but as adults remembering the good old days as kids and teens would definitely be interesting and they can take out certain characters you know old age and stuff like that or moved out of state who knows
Rugrats season 1-3 was great. Once Paul Germain left it was never as good. He was the one that made it a bit dark, it became pretty goofy after that and the animations and voices were all off
1:55 While I'm glad you made a point about Phil getting the same ear lobes as Lil. I must also point out that in the first season, Angelica seemed to wear a diaper(?) underneath her dress. That's something that always surprised me as a kid.
If a reboot of rugrats ended up anything like the powerpuff girls, teen titans or ben 10 reboots then I hope to god it never comes to fruition because it'd end up being a show with 10 minutes episodes that have some moral of the day that's practically shoved down your throat without any subtly whatsoever.
Upon seeing the ALL GROWN UP spinoff, I get the impression that - based on hair color - Tommy takes after Stu and Dil takes after Didi.
I'd say you're correct.
I really wanted to hear more about Rugrats all grown up, you didn't really talk about it.
They're Busy People!!
yeah a video in the future would be great
Reba Hashiri that's what bias does for you
Coffeh Bean you should watch it if you like rugrats
Reba Hashiri all grown up was really good. If you can find it anywhere I would suggest watching it.
Rugrats just got better and better until the show ended. I’m really lucky I got to grow up with it.
Samuel Brent that it got better, what's not to get?
Can I ask how old you are? I know you posted this two years ago I hope you're still happy healthy and alive I'm just interested to know cuz I'm 38
I grew up watching this show too and I enjoyed each episode even though I'm sure that I didn't watch every single episode
Do u have Roku for u tv?
@Black Wolf98 nah seasons 1-3 were the golden era. Season 4 was a lot more boring when they changed writers and it went downhill from there
Wish you brought up all grown up more in this and compared it to the original show a bit.
Drawingfandom they didn't? well why did i click on this clickbate bs
HKSATWOC DUH they did for like a minute at the end mostly compared the first 1-3 seasons with its seasons involving kimmy and such
This shoulda been a "then vs then"
Zack Fair More like Beginning vs End
Zack Fair lol
Then vs. Not that far from Then
8:00 whoa the only Nick Cartoon with a Star, not even Spongebob has one. Very impressive.
RasenRendan X ikr
Patrick: What do you mean i'm right here!
RasenRendan X right the nick executives should have been trying to get shows to live up to the rugrats not spongebob 🙄
I grew up watching Rugrats.. All grown up was very cool..
Andros the warrior High Alpha same
I agree
I loved both Series tbh
Rugrats will always be the best cartoon in my heart
same here
That's cool. I would say one of the best.
Kimmy was my favorite character honestly. I always liked how Chucky wasn’t lonely anymore because she was there.
I had a close connection to the Paris movie. I played the game and watched the movie all the time as a kid.
When I revisited Rugrats, I couldn't stand the lighter later seasons. However I did enjoy All Grown Up at the time.
I loved the Rugrats growing up and I love it more now! It's such a great animated series.
I didn’t. hated it
Just wanted to add that the pilot was definitely aired, I remember seeing it on Nick plenty of times when I was a kid and wondering why Tommy had a red shirt in that episode way before I understood what pilots were in the 90s. Really great video though, Rugrats was a real classic to grow up with, happy to have gotten to enjoy it as a kid!
107 All Grown Up?
L. Dawson yes I need it
That would be awesome!
Yes
This is the only Nicktoon I have nostalgia for.
RIP Christine Cavanaugh
I'll Miss Her, Including Casey Kasem (The Original Voice Of Shaggy)!
Brady Kaynee I miss her too she was a good voice actress. I didn’t even know that check it was was by a girl it’s nice not a credit but she did a great job anyway.
Nostalgia is coming HELLLLLLPPPPP!
I gotta say. Rugrats as a kid was one of my favorite nicktoons! Everytime it was on I would drop everything and go watch it even if I saw said episode a thousand times. I Still Have The Rugrats Movie Trilogy On DVD And Video!!
I AM NOT SPAMMING!!
In all grown up I preferred Tommy with the dark purple hair since his bleached light purple hair was just an eyesore.
2:23-2:33 what's so strange about that? I don't blame Klasky AT ALL for thinking Angelica was too mean!
I Agree With You!!
My god, Rugrats is literally my childhood ❤
Thanks for this amazing trip down memory lane. Loved Rugrats, though you said very little about All Grown Up.
All grown up is soooo good.
I was not a big fan of Rugrats but I like it nowadays since it grew on me. Also, I LOVE MY BOIII REPTAR! I have a big plush of him that I like to hug while watching this video. :D
GamingFanactic911 awe that’s sweet
Definitely 🙂
One thing I didn't like is when Dil came along, Tommy lost his sense of adventure and is too protective of Dil. Seasons 2 and 3 are the best in my opinion.
Tom Iannucci I feel the same!
Me too
Dil did take away from Tommy's independence and leadership a lot and funny enough the first movie did address this, but the show creators wanted to show a positive sibling dynamic. All Grown Up! really takes me back in the days. The special Rugrats: All Growned Up was cool.
One of the best shows ever
"rugrats reboot is in limbo"
quote of the day
👌🏼thank you I was hoping for this video
Childhood , both then and now , it also my teemage years .as All Grown Up came out when i was a teen , Bring back Rugrats and pass the torch to their kids , the nostalgia would sell alone
Rugrats was my favorite show but I'm a 2000s kid so I can only watch all grown up but I get to watch a little bit of the episodes of Rugrats
Really misleading thumbnail ^^;
I Still Think The 3rd Rugrats Movie Is More Of A Guilty Pleasure (I Know Most People Might Not Like It, But Its Just My Opinion)!!
Dexter The Nostalgia Toonster the thornberrys one?
Yes, The Same Rugrats Movie Crossover With The Wild Thornberries!!!
I Thought You Already Knew That Right Now!!
I didn't see anything wrong with it, i only watch it like once every 5 years tho
whaaaa, who doesn't like a Nickelodeon show crossover? Thought the film was good.
Why Do You Speak Like This.
I'm pretty sure Rugrats is why I love Courage the Cowardly Dog so much. Rugrats was the source of many a nightmare I had as a kid
Happy Anniversary Rugrats and All Growned Up
RIP Joe Alaskey (Lou), Christine Cavanaugh (original Chuckie), Jack Riley (Stu). I know Nancy did a great job replacing Christine but if they do make a remake idk how they would be able to fill Riley and Alaskey's shoes.
The guy that did the voice of
Howard deville
Do you guys like more darker episodes or more lighthearted?
For me it depends.
My favorite show ever behind South Park & The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
WHOA-WHOA-WHHOOOOAAAAAAA!!!
I Had No Clue There Was Another Person (Named Candi Milo) Who Voiced Chuckie In Some Rugrats Playstation Game!!!
SAY WWHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA???!!
And she was the voice of Astroboy in the English dubbed version of Astroboy(2003)
Really?
MIND---BLOWNED!!
Some people can sort of say it either way.
Kath Soucie Did A Fantastic Job Voicing The Deville Twins And Betty Deville, In Fact, If You Listen VVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRY Closely You Can Hear That Phil (Almost) Sounds Like Betty Deville!!

@@dannythomas417 True, and I had no idea.
But why do I have a hard time believing that??
@Dexter The Nostalgia Toonster ‘Cause Tress and Kath were in LOTS of cartoons in the 90s.
@@dannythomas417 Name them!
@Dexter The Nostalgia Toonster Futurama, The Simpsons, Tiny Toon Adventures, Hey Arnold, Animaniacs, etc.
Despite the large dislike for all grown up I still think it is my favourite era of rugrats, I don't know why, I just have always liked it. there are episodes I can't stand but the majority of it i love

LOVE ALL GROWN UP!!!!!!!!

I hope the new tv show is like the original Rug Rats.

Hey Arnold easily
Danny Phantom And TUFF Puppy!!
Here we go again
What Are You Talking About??
Think Rocket Power, As told by Ginger and All Grown Up! Could do a crossover.
I always preferred the original era (pre-hiatus) episodes over the newer seasons. To me, those episodes were more entertaining and had more charm. Continue where they left off? , yes please
I prefer All Grown Up!
Was waiting for this video
Rugrats All Grown Up was good for that "what if" episode, essentially the special. There really wasn't a reason to make it into a series though cause it was kinda boring. The whole point of the Rugrats was to see the world through the naive eyes of babies, misinterpreting everyday events, causing them to overreact to things and go on adventures in the backyard.
What should we do next on Then vs Now?!
samuri jack
ChannelFrederator Rockos morden life
Futurama
Please sailor moon 90's and crystal
Legend of zelda
Tommy looks just like Stu & Dil looks just like Didi
Spongebob was airing for 20 years and it is still going
I love Rugrats and All grown up equelly since I think both shows are pretty memorable and fun
I never noticed that Phil doesn't have earlobes.
Alex G don’t feel bad, I didn’t either.
0:37 the moment you forgot your homework
DUN-DUN-DDUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUAAAAANNN!!!
What about Then vs Now - Inspector Gadget. (The Netflix update isn't the best but it is an UPDATED version so it does qualify.)
I can't help but cry when I hear that original theme tune
Even though this video was focused more on the Rugrats, and they said that the Rugrats was the only Nickelodeon tv show that got a star on the Hollywood walk of fame I think SpongeBob deserves a star on the Hollywood walk of fame. Does anyone else agree with me?
They should do another Rugrat special but as adults remembering the good old days as kids and teens would definitely be interesting and they can take out certain characters you know old age and stuff like that or moved out of state who knows
"Then Vs Now" with Rugrats implies it's on now and builds false hope.
That said, we need a 214 facts video on the series.
You Should Of Done Rugrats 1991 VS. The 2017 Boom Studios Comics Of Rugrats
Why is this a discussion? All grown up was semi popular because of RUGRATS the iconic cartoon.
True ,however most people didn’t care for it
I really needed a video of my favorite show, thanks for this
I preferred All Grown Up over the original Rugrats tbh
Yeah, the only reason I ever watch Rugrats was because Charlotte was hotter then.
Rugrats needs to come back!
It’s already on NickRewind in TeenNick
I have an American accent and my mum blames Rugrats for it cause it was my favourite show ever.
Where you are from?
Ah yes, this perfect series...
Had a dream flash back HAD TO LOOK INTO IT
if Rugrats isn't on anymore, then how does this count as a Then Vs Now.
ThatGuyWhoMakeRandomStuff maybe it's still on but it's on a different network in another country
It shows on the Nick channel I get here in Canada
I live this show it was my childhood favorite show ☺️
“Now”
Unpopular opinion: I preferred all grown up
This makes me feel old
This is why I loved Season 9
I loved Rugrats. It was one of my favorite shows.
I am 13 and still love rugrats.
Lucky Luke then vs now and Daltons then vs now
I miss that show
for me, kimi is the best addition to the show
Ahh my childhood I loved rugrats and I liked all grown up
i am currently binge watching Rugrats. guess i am missing my childhood lol
Rugrats season 1-3 was great. Once Paul Germain left it was never as good. He was the one that made it a bit dark, it became pretty goofy after that and the animations and voices were all off
The older seasons’ storylines creeped me out, lol.
1:55 While I'm glad you made a point about Phil getting the same ear lobes as Lil. I must also point out that in the first season, Angelica seemed to wear a diaper(?) underneath her dress. That's something that always surprised me as a kid.
Yes. In season 1 Angelica was still in diapers.
Do 107 about the spin off all grown up
If a reboot of rugrats ended up anything like the powerpuff girls, teen titans or ben 10 reboots then I hope to god it never comes to fruition because it'd end up being a show with 10 minutes episodes that have some moral of the day that's practically shoved down your throat without any subtly whatsoever.
Differnt approach.
Tommy and friends are all adults
With their own families and their
Kids are the new babies .
Wish paramount + had all the sessions of all grown up. I love watching the old shows I grew up watching lol.
In seasons 2-5 of All Grown Up, Phil and Lil has curly hair and pink, blonde and blue pieces of hair.
All grown up is underrated
Who thinks Then vs. Now Hey Arnold is a good idea?
Me
Before You, My Friends, 2 Questions
1-What is The First Appearance of Charold Pickles?
2-What is The Last Appearance of Howard Devile?
The all grown up ones those are awesome I want them to back
If im correct Preschool Daze also introduced Harold who was a major character in All Grown Up!
