I think we were at 8psi rear and 12psi front most of the time and then down to 5psi rear when I got stuck and for the tricky parts. Glad you enjoyed it!
great to see the Adventra ;) 14:58 is very soft on the rear shocks, not sure the setup doesn't appear stock as neither mine or our cx6 hops that much that I recall. 15:25 TrueTrac certainly fixed some of these issues seen with that instant loss of rear wheel spinout on the Addy. Sand looks really good!
awesome stuff, don't need crazy cars to go see around Australia if you have the skill :) What do you reckon Auto vs Manual? I burnt out a clutch in my subaru impreza on boggy sand so bit worried about manual...
Using factory Ford RTV springs, shocks and control arms. The only custom part is the hanger on the front of the leafs, which is a close copy of the Rtv hangers.
It really does pay for the old saying, slow and steady wins the race. To many people these days go for a Hilux or Ranger but our forebears didn't have that luxury and they did inland Australia and coastal beaches in 2wd cars. They too would have taken it slow and in most cases succeeded. I suppose the only reason that Ford Australia didn't advertise these car's off roading capability is because too many morons would do paddock bashing wrecking the cars and then claiming it on the warranty. But even dirt roads in our interior can be safely driven in 2wd cars for you don't need a 4x4 for a dirt road. Had friends with a farm 10km from a sealed road and they drove their bog standard NC Ford Fairlane in all weathers on the dirt roads and never got stuck.
Well done guys I have a Ford RTV Ute and absolutely love it.
Keep it up
Cheers
5 psi...?? Very cool to see 2wd vehicles kicking ass like this. Beautiful country!! Timmy C Arizona

Are the RTV suspension parts still available new?
@@jimwolfe2862 only if you go aftermarket, such as Monro shocks and Whiteline bushes and so on

Did the Adventra have a diff lock option or just the LSD?
No diff lock options for Adventras that I am aware of. There is an LSD option which would have helped, but not fitted on this one.
how do you lift them? do you make lifting blocks

🍻🎉
LSD in the Adventra helps to negate some of the wheel lifting issue. Both vehicles do well offroad regardless.
