As someone that’s lived their whole life in Glasgow I love your video mate. I’m a big fan of anything remotely documentary like so your quick and easy to digest summary of the city as someone looking from the outside of Glasgow is superb. I think your video is very informative and would be a great help to anyone thinking of moving here as well as giving a great history of our city. We visited the Kelvingrove museum, Glasgow University, The Botanic Gardens, and a multitude of shops and eateries. If you’re visiting for the first time I recommend a bus tour starting in George Square, it really helps you to get your bearings. We even took in the pub where Billy Connolly started his career. As a person born and raised in London I felt very at home in Glasgow, it has the same vibe and young folk everywhere due to the three universities and huge central college. I loved it so much here, I left England to set up home here five years ago, and no thing's changed, I still love it here (OK, the average weather could be a bit better ... But at least it isn't unbearably hot in the summer, and we usually get a decent 2 weeks of snow on the ground). The people here are awesome! Come visit, and you'll want to come back, maybe even stay!
You are right, Glasgow ISN'T a place that most people would think of visiting, partly due to the reputation for violence that was true 30-40 years ago. I've spent a lot of time there, and it's certainly no worse than any other big city, and safer than many places I could mention including Manchester, Sheffield and London! Well worth a visit.
