    1:31 that's not 3x portrait on the Samsung, that's a 2x one with a digital crop of the main sensor. For the 3x optical zoom portrait you have to click on the third dot (with only 1 leaf).

      It’s good that Apple has competition how can compete. More competition means better products for the consumers.

      @@Todestelzer as long as pixel continues to take portraits from its main lens with no zoom it will fail. Telephoto is a must for portrait in 2021, i hope pixel takes a 50mp shot and digitally zooms atleast like s21 or s21+ with their “telephoto” lenses

      Samsung still hasn't fixed the processing. Trying to take pictures of my cats on the Galaxy and 90% of the time end up blurry. Any movement on the frame eg. kids , pets will end up blurry. iPhone always ends up with a clear image , no blurriness

      @@tonyvirdanen1 let’s face facts for a bit…Samsung is working with a 108mb sensor and Apple I working with 12mb…
      Samsung is doing a lot of processing(pixel bining)to give u a 108mb pic tht won’t eat up ur storage and Apple on the other hand doesn’t do pixel bining and tht 12mb isn’t demanding as much the 108mb
      Maybe the s22 with a faster processor might reduce the shutter lag🤷🏽‍♂️
      Even Apple if it had 108mb sensor it would face the same issue so🤷🏽‍♂️

    • @tonyvirdanen1
      @tonyvirdanen1 3 года назад +6

      @@techandy1747 Not true. Even the regular S21 faces the same shutter lag issues even though it doesn't have an 108MP camera. It comes down to software optimization and Samsung has a long way to go still. As a consumer I don't care about the 108MP sensor when the final product is 12MP and still looks blurry compared to iPhone photos. It's Samsungs own marketing fault to go for high numbers and not deliver , I could care less as a consumer. I just want my pictures to not be blurry

    Stabilization on iPhone is better, but the s21 front face camera stabilization specially at night is better, s21 audio is miles ahead, far far better, portrait on iPhone just works better in both pictures and video , zoom on the other hand is not even a contest s21 wins easy, the pictures are shaper on the s21, there are times that I like the colors on the iPhone better though, but overall I like the non portrait pictures better on the s21, overall I prefer the s21 but by so little of a margin, and that's because I really just take more straight forward pictures without portrait, and because if I shoot a video I probably am speaking something, and the audio is again just not even close, plus I do use my front facing camera quite a bit and the samsung front is a bit better in most occasions that I use it for.

  • @eduardovalente2990
    @eduardovalente2990 3 года назад +7

    Well, honestly, if I've to purchase one of these, I would choose towards the Samsung S21 Ultra. For that price range, Apple still has a lot a work to do. Samsung as more features, and, for those price tags Apple most offer more. And for those thinking about the ecosystem, it's only viable if you have MacBook, Ipad, etc.. if not you can just automatically upload our photos to the Dropbox/OneDrive.
    But to be fair, in Portrait mode, I have to give Apple all my credits for the a work well done. That lidar is a hudge difference!

  • @Alex25CoB
    @Alex25CoB 3 года назад +15

    That's the one I've been waiting for! Great comparison, once again I love the screen capture of shooting the photos!
    I have switched from the S21 Ultra to the 13 Pro Max and I can't say I am impressed with the ultra-wide camera, especially after Apple hyped it up so much. It lacks details and is quite a bit noisy, even in good lighting (in the shadows), also the HDR doesn't seem to work as well as on the S21 Ultra (blows the highlights more often).
    Also something to note, the S21 Ultra exposes most if not all of it's pictues a few seconds longer during nightmode, I tend to turn up nightmode to the maximum duration for the 13 Pro max, depending on the situation.
    But I do still prefer the 3x zoom and the 1x main cam on the iPhone, also the portraits are gorgeous, night and day!
    Rear video is a clear win for the iPhone, (even at night I prefer the UW cam)so is the front facing selfie footage, in my opinion.
    As for selfie pictures, the S21 Ultra has the lead: more details, natural skin tone and even night time portrait! Also somehow Samsung manages the Portrait cutout around the head better sometimes.
    Could you also compare he iPhone 13 Pro Max against the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra in the future?
    Much love!!

    • @TheChazas
      @TheChazas 3 года назад +6

      That is the case, going from 12 Pro Max to 13 Pro Max sensors basically did not change when talking about sensor sizes, except aperture. And Ultra-Wide is really not great, specially in lower light conditions, but that is expected with tiny 1/3.4" sensor, it is literally the smallest Ultra-Wide sensor when talking about top end flagships on the market. Increasing camera rings/housing is such a marketing trick as ever by Apple, making it look like the sensors are huge, while in reality it is not true, but that is brilliant marketing.

    iPhone looks warmer to the point skin tones can have that fried chicken look & color saturation looked a bit too high. But maybe Apple figured it would better for indoor shots. Would also be an advantage for cloudy days, shade & snow shots to balance the colors straight out of camera. iPhone video is still the best overall. Like how this comparison looked at a lot of different scenarios.

    iPhone has more realistic colors/shades especially in darker scenes and Galaxy S21 Ultra dominates in zoom/sharpness, the microphone quality of the iPhone is definitely better(more clear, less muffed (when you watch the last part of the video), thanks for testing.

    The video the iphone 13 pro is 2 generations ahead easily, i dont know what the hell samsung is doing , do they think its all about the zoom and nothing else ??? The iphone 11 pro max has better video and the one plus 8 pro has better video quality than the s21 ultra. And the 4k 60fps is even more embarrassing. It lacks details and has lots of noise and very soft especially in doors and low light

    • @hbgstorm

      @@medicalh7990 photos both are similar when it comes to regular photos and ultrawide , but zoom the s21 ultra totally destroys every phone exept i think the p40 pro plus. And in day time you can use the 108mp on the s21 ultra the extra details is great after the photos are taken you can crop in a lot and still see lots of details but this is only daytime. The 108mp mode is not good in doors and low light it loses dynamic range.

    Interesting to see Apples out being far more saturated then Samsung's.

    With the iPhone , what you see on the screen is what you get. On the Galaxy , it might show blown highlights on the viewfinder but after it process it looks good. I prefer Apple's way of doing it. Also night mode too , you can see a preview on the iPhone
