  • I collected this water specimen at Beaver Lake, located in Asheville, North Carolina. I let the water sit in a sunny window for a few days and found this abundance of life. The large yellow long microbes are called Spirostomum, they are unicellular. There are various types of paramecium and other microbes as well. I used the Swift 380T Trinocular microscope, and an attached Sony a7rIII camera for the filming.
