- Catching Fire: The Story of Anita Pallenberg is a portrait of a dazzling and irrepressible woman who helped create the DNA of rock ‘n’ roll.
This intimate documentary reveals the story of an unapologetic rock ‘n’ roller, actress, muse and mother who rose to prominence in the 1960s and 1970s. Using the words of her unpublished memoir, Anita draws us deep into her world, with the help of a supporting cast that includes her family - Marlon, Angela, and their father Keith Richards. Never-seen-before home movies and family photographs explore life with the Rolling Stones: this is a bittersweet tale of both triumph and heartbreak. From Barbarella to the Swiss Alps, and the Lower East Side of New York, Anita Pallenberg was a woman ahead of her time.
In UK/IRE cinemas from 17 May.
On Demand from 27 May.

Pity they couldn't find someone with a German accent to voice Anita.
FOR REAL.
@@TheMysteryMachine For real, REAL, I mean why have an American accent when this woman was German and I would imagine having a tinge of British when she spoke English. So off-putting!
Been obsessed with her for decades!
I loved her in "Barbarella".
Please release a DVD with lots of extras !!
amazing cant wait and agreed release a DVD
She was so Damn cool. ❤
Thought I heard Charlies voice, between Keiths? 💚 So happy with this announcement! Thank you for sharing the trailer!
@lilzocca - it is Stash Klossowski speaking (with the deep voice)
Oh yes, so similar! Thank you!
TRES Cool/Heavy!
i await this like the desert awaits the rain. Goddess Anita, at last!
Even if Kate Moss narrated it I’m in!😊
For sure, an ARIES woman. All Fire.🔥
She was a good woman
Cannot see this except at Cannes ? wtf?
I think it is VERY sad and nothing to to be celebrating about! She had her daughter taken away from her for being a terrible mother and one of her children died due to sids at two months old. Anybody can be aggressive, wreckless, exciting and deeply irresponsible, with using drugs, alcohol and enough money.
Women like her end up used up and die early. Makes me sick with the waste of a REAL quality life! I am deeply proud of women who choose not to be like her. One of my best friends was just like her. She died at age 34 and her only son died just like she did, a few years later! Life is so much more precious being sober and healthy!! And the music sounds SO MUCH BETTER! 😌
I could not agree more
I thought she was a style icon of the 1960s and hot❤
Scarlett Johanes s voice is all wrong
Hate the American accent voice over - she was German, and sounded nothing like that.
Have I missed an anniversary or something? Things about either Anita or Brian Jones keep popping up for me to watch. She was certainly interesting
and as Mick recalled "very sort of strange for those days".
N that whole Jamaica jail experience OMG
i think that was made up by Spanish Tony. Keith said in his bio that it didn't happen. I sure hope it didn't. But Spanish Tony made up all kinds of shit. Entertaining for sure!
Why not a German actor for voiceover?
...the queen of Nellcote....
Movie was good, saw it yesterday. But it is mostly about her hanging out with The Stones. I thought maybe she had gone on after she left Keith and did something more, but not really. You could also argue that The Stones derailed her career, as Keith did not want her working at all, not modeling, not movies. She also became an addict under The Stones' tutelage. She was charismatic and 3 Stones fell in love with her. To her credit, she did not break up the band in the way Yoko helped breakup The Beatles. She did not kiss and tell and send one Stone against another. She could have done so, and no telling what that might have done to the band.
You wanted something that never was. What it was is what it was, nothing more - but it was amazing.
Brian Epstein had died, the Beatles weren’t touring, it was over.
She was gorgeous, dangerous, intelligent, naturally sexy, she had it in spades, two Rolling Stones, she's everything these strong independent women wish they were. When you have it, you don't feel the need to keep telling the world because, hey, you own it.
