The coordinates for placing the slide number in the video at 09:49 is good for standard slide size(4:3). But for widescreen (16:9) try 900,510
And to have colour for the slide number .. add "oshp.TextFrame.TextRange.Font.Color.RGB = RGB(0, 0, 255)" play with RGB values... this one is for blue colour

I am seeing this a year or so after the last comment. I tried both the version without and with adding numbers, and combined them into a single Macro by copying the relevant SUB's from one to the other, and adding the text 'wNum' to the end of the SUBS from the Macro with numbers. Took a couple of tries to get it to work properly. What I want to find out is how do I add these Macros to PP in general so that I can apply it to any other presentation without having to create copy of the Macro in each new presentation, or to apply it to older presentations?

I am using PowerPoint 16 and it does not seem to work. I have a slide, where I have multiple pictures on. When I click on each picture different shapes appear and another click will make the shapes disappear. However, when I am using the code, it does not add the multiple slides for each appearance/disappearance, just a copy of the existing slides but without the animation.
I have also tried PART 2, but again with no luck. ;)

Thanks for the tutorial - however, it does not do what I was looking for, perhaps you have a hint ;)
I am using Office 365 for MAC and the Macro runs but does not add pages with elements disappearing - e.g. I have a slide which in the first animation adds a text box and in the second animation the first text box disappears and a new text box is been added, in the third animation the second text box disappears and a new text box appears ... and so on. However, when I run this macro the text boxes that should disappear remain and new text boxes appear and remain also for the next animation. Resulting in a slide in which several text boxes are covering each other ... don't know what I am doing wrong here ;) You got any idea?

Hi, thank you for your comment. I don't think this method can work on gifs; however, you can try a workaround; you may split the gif into its constituting pictures and regenerate its animation in a single slide using PowerPoint animation tools. Then you use the method in the video to convert the whole file into a pdf. The gif part in the pdf will be animated as the viewer scroll through the slides.

@@vegankatzman you won't see the fade effect in the PDF file, but you will see it as just a sudden appearance. PDF doesn't support in-page animation. The purpose of this video tutorial is to have a PDF with as many pages as the transitions you originally have in your animated PPT.
