Hey Kevin, I am back to your channel after a long long time. I used to watch every video of yours during the early days but then life came along, devices changed (accounts too) and I kinda lost you. Sorry for that. But man am I happy to see your growth! 3 M, are you kidding me? I still remember the day you announced that you're quiting your full-time job at Microsoft to focus on the channel. And now 3M? Wow! The production quality has improved a lot I see (I kinda miss your desktop setup tho, but okay, changes happen). Hehe, that's it. It's nice to visit favourite RUclipsrs of childhood once in a while to check in. I found you through your mailing list on MS Word video, and have been a respecting you ever since. You're great! Cheers!
It's novel, I'll give it that, but only ten slides? OK, so I have to pay for more slides. For a hundred bucks a year, you can create shows with... fifteen slides! For $180 a year, you get... thirty slides! It's a good start, Gamma, but there's no way you're going to get me on board when I can easily build presentations in my Google Drive for free.
Honestly, if you’re giving a presentation with more than 10 slides, you probably need to rethink your presentation and trim it down! No one really does that anymore…
@@Heartwing37 It depends on what you're trying to do. A TED talk? Okay, ten slides. How I spent my summer holiday or a high level sales pitch? Sure. Introducing a new process to staff? Easily twenty slides, most of which are diagrams. Introducing that new process to managers? Thirty slides. When I deliver a paper, I make one slide for every level two heading (because there's no way in hell I can cover the material with only level one slides). What we spend the most care is making sure there are as few words as possible.
For businesses where PowerPoint presentations are prevalent at almost every meeting, $180 is a drop in the bucket. It’s like pennies on a budget line. I think most people that are creating PowerPoint presentations are creating them for their work. In those cases, businesses, departments, or divisions would be making this purchase and not the individuals who are creating the slide presentations.
@@Heartwing37 if you look up best practices and slide presentations, I think you would find that the opposite is actually true. Far too often, people try to cram way too many ideas onto one slide. Which is why people think less is more, because the slides are overwhelming them. Best practice is one idea or concept per slide. A presenter can click through, a 60 to 70 slide presentation very quickly in a manner in which people who are on the receiving end of the presentation don’t even realize that the presentation consists of that many slides. Because the slides are designed in a way that’s engaging and the presenter is clicking through the slides at about 5 to 10 per minute-sometimes more.
@@mskimlouise PowerPoint presentations are prevalent because these companies already own MS Office. In the final analysis, PP gets the job done, it's compatible with future versions., and most importantly, everyone already knows how to use it.
This looks pretty good, better than what you see on some websites...which begs me to ask, can you use this and turn it into a website or will it not work because it's in powerpoint format? 🤔
Wow Thanks again Kevin, there is not A think you Don't know about P.C.'s, I have to get my practice game going, as the learning curve is usually the longest!
What perfect timing! I literally watched your video from last year and was trying to create a presentation using Designer. Did some research last night and decided to try Gamma and it seems a lot better. Hop on RUclips today and you now have a video on it! Thanks! Question for you though: I'm having trouble with my Gamma export looking as good in Powerpoint. The gradients are all missing despite having font installed. Any idea how to get them to look exactly like they do in Gamma?
Thanks for the video. Definitely looks like a time saver but didn't see an option to save the presenttion as a .mov or .mp4. in order to have the presentation displayed on a monitor in a continuous loop.
I don't believe they have that feature yet. That could be a good feature request. One workaround -- export as a PPT and then turn into a video via PowerPoint.
Great video, Kevin! I have a question: how do you keep the animations in the presentation if you decide to export it as a powerpoint file? I downloaded a presentation but it had no animations when i opened it in freeoffice presentation maker. Would greatly appreciate your reply!
Sure thing! The easiest way to get more credits is to upgrade to our Plus or Pro plan. Both plans give you unlimited usage of Gamma AI. You can also earn more credits by referring friends to Gamma.
Did you also notice the spelling errors - explosion and explasion in the image of the packaging?? How would you go about correcting that? I have noticed that when using AI there are often spelling mistakes- not sure why.
Yeah, spelling mistakes are the most frustrating with AI generated images. Some models are better than others with spelling correctly. Flux is supposed to be one of the better options. You can always regenerate the image to see if another attempt gets it right.
@@KevinStratvertregeneration is definitely an option but given this is supposed to make everything faster and better it’s a flaw that needs to be corrected. Also given that you’re using credits would that regeneration also impact your credits? I know that when converting text to voice another regeneration to fix something costs credits. I can understand if it’s my mistake but this is the AI mistake. Thanks for your reply and also the preview. It’s really interesting and definitely worth considering.
Kevin, I provide electrical training for electrician, engineers, inspector, contractors. Can I bullet points and manipulate this the same as PPT using this software?
I am trying to import a theme from a pre-existing .pptx....and nothing happens !!! I initially see the uploading progress bar....and then....nothing at all !!! Can anyone please help me ????
1. purchase the subscription or 2. edit in Canva Eventually, your credits will run out, and by then you will be hooked :). I was, so I purchased it. One of the best decisions, since it also creates as AI.
There is a big disadvantage, I do not trust external companies with my sensitive information. I prefer stand-alone PowerPoint, just for this sake, at least, I know, no third party has access to my information.

I make a lot of presentations, and I do spend considerable effort making them interesting for the audience. With a tool like the one in the video, I would have the audience snoring in less than three minutes. The presentation was incredibly bland: The pictures looked like stock photo images. They were just decoration, and did not convey any useful information. There was way too much text, in way too small fonts, for a presentation. What happens is people try to read the text, and loose track of what you say. Numbered lists are as snore inducing as bullet points. There was nothing in there that would get the audience engaged. No jokes, no sense of wonder, fear, or anything else that piques interest. No surprises for the audience. PowerPoint is badly designed, but a tool like this is way worse. At least, with PowerPoint, you can make an interesting presentation if you put the effort in. With this tool, it looks like the presentation will be boring no matter what you do. To make a good presentation, you would first need to generate the presentation, and then redesign everything from scratch. Not good!
I have to pay for more than 10 slides? PowerPoint now has Designer, Copilot, and we have Chat GPT to help with images and ideas… So why would I pay for this? Times are hard… Sorry, I have to watch my money.

WOW !!!!!!!!!!! It used to take HOURS and WEEKS to create any presentation and now it's done in minutes.
Weeks???
Doesn't PPT have copilot which can also do this, and u can use the bing images creator for images, plus u can use designer to edit the images

There’s nothing quite like mastering a complex formula and seeing it work flawlessly!
The ability to import a theme of our own is amazing ! Seems a very convenient app.... Im gonna try it asap....
Thanks Kevin for letting us know about this helpful AI tool. Looks great!
This looks pretty good, better than what you see on some websites...which begs me to ask, can you use this and turn it into a website or will it not work because it's in powerpoint format? 🤔
Always coming with new good stuff. Thanks. I am gonna try this Gamma for my ppt
Kevin, I loved this information. I am trying to wrap my brain around this software to sell books.
This is the best AI tool for creating presentations.
First Thank you. I think this app is the best I have seen till now.
Yep! Gamma is AMAZING!!!❤
Amazing features, however, the question is the value for the price over the long term compared to other alternatives.
Great video! What camera and which lens are you using to record your videos? Looks great.
Fantastic! My dream comes true.
Question about this: does the 400 credit limit renew itself monthly or is it 400 for all-time with the free plan?

Thank You Kevin💯🤝👍
This is awesome I have a presentation on Thursday and am so using this. Thank you Kevin

Very nice. Will clearly help boost productivity.
Repeating what's been done before ?
Thank you for this Kevin!
Amazing, i just signed up! Thanks 🎉
Thank you! Right on time)
Is there any way to add sound to each slide, like an audio presentation? If not, that seems like a pretty big missing piece
Thanks for your great content have a fantastic day
Thanks, you too!
Great video, Kevin!
I have a question: how do you keep the animations in the presentation if you decide to export it as a powerpoint file? I downloaded a presentation but it had no animations when i opened it in freeoffice presentation maker.
Would greatly appreciate your reply!
You can't. They only work within Gamma. But you can still save as pptx.
That's amazing! Thanks for sharing.
2:45 Btw, how to get more CREDITS?
Sure thing! The easiest way to get more credits is to upgrade to our Plus or Pro plan. Both plans give you unlimited usage of Gamma AI. You can also earn more credits by referring friends to Gamma.
Super cool ❤❤❤
thank you. that was so interesting presentation.
I use it and I like it.
Thank you so much

I came back to your channel after a long time. You seem aged! RUclips is taking its toll on you!
wouuuu awesome
Can I add my own template and then use AI to create presentation?
Yes! Check out the end of the video for steps.
Wow, nice. Is it Support Arabic Language and RTL direction?
Great🎉
Hi man, could you please assist me with how to remove unwanted languages from the keyboard? Cheers.
I need my presentations to be in ppt, any tips?
You can export to PPT from Gamma 👍
I do not mind paying for this
one slide shows the cookies on the shelves, but lots of them have spelling issues (explasion instead of explosion) - is it possible to correct that?
I have made several presentations with gamma, but all the slides have a watermark in them
what are the presentations?
It really healped but can you tell me how to remove the watermark? please!

I am trying to import a theme from a pre-existing .pptx....and nothing happens !!! I initially see the uploading progress bar....and then....nothing at all !!! Can anyone please help me ????
After completing the ppt once I download it shows made with gamma how to remove that
1. purchase the subscription or
2. edit in Canva

what are presentations
how to save my work?
Auto saves as you go.
This reminds me of Microsoft Sway
So true!

Still a long long way to go before AI makes decent looking slides IMO. These all look pretty basic and boring.

not free Eh?
AI based means it has all been done before. If that's you game; OK. I prefer being original - whatever the effort
it is for new user who does not know how to make a PPT. I personally do not recommend this AI now.
Gamma in Mongolian means GAY
Not worth it.
But where's the artistry in that?
Blasphemy!
