Part 5, Smuggler 28 - Building window frames for hardtop

  • I've now reached a point were I have to design and build a series of window frames to get the foundation of the hardtop in place. I only have access to the workshop for three weeks and have a huge work load in front of me. The bracket have to be built and attached to the transom and a swim platform needs to be built and attached to bracket. When the boat leaves the workshop, it will be out in the cold and the temperature might not be fiberglass pleasant until late April. Every hour counts and are very valuable.

      I'd say you're a bit early to the party if you're looking for mounted outboards at this stage :D

    Is that melamine you're using instead of plywood

      Yes, I use melamine for the molds, but only non organic material for the actual boat.
