This is Turkish Patatesli Sulu Köfte (Meatball rogout with patato). It is a very common dish, a kind of "ragout for poors". You can add rice or bulgur to the minced meat and form to meatballs.

thank-you!!! so delicious! I mashed some of the potatoes/carrots to thicken&it worked beautifully! an updated, old fashioned beef stew. oh, I cooked the meatballs in beef bone broth too. will definitely be checking out your other recipes. no hassle/quick instruction/successful meals to prepare!

Is there any way you could increase the size of the writing?? My eyes aren't what they used to be after 40 and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Thanks

it's in the oven as we speak. I didn't have "savory, never heard of it actually, but am hoping for the best I put a sprig of rosemary and 2 cloves, in their jackets, to smush into the stew at the end. thank-you for a new way of making a stew!

Try to find it next time, if is not in the shop near you, you can order it online, it`s a game changer, especially for pork and chicken stew or bean stews. Hope you like the stew

Yeah, Amazon search bar is a bit weird, google it and it would come up near you or a big supermarket. Glad you liked the stew.

will do, as we are making this again! took 2 Italian sausage links, cut casing off, and added it to the meatballs, had no pork. smells wonderful.

Why coat them in flour?😮 I think I would have browned the meatballs first.

I prefer it this way when making a stew, the meatballs stay more firm, have a better texture and are very delicious. You can browned it, if you want of course 👌
