Dub voice direction is something I’ve become more aware of over the years-a lot of dubs (at least Funimation dubs) use many of the same voice actors, but the strongest dubs I’ve watched are usually the ones with the best voice direction.

It’s more like an early 2000s English dub from like 2004 or 2005. When the voice acting was starting to get good but wasn’t there yet until shows like full metal alchemist 2003 and Naruto showed how English voice acting should actually be done 😂

The only real issue comes from the dialogue itself rather than the voice acting. They overuse phrases and some catchphrases that makes it really cringe.

This is pretty accurate to a lot of lower budget late 90s-mid-00s dubs. The industry in recent years has opened itself up to a lot of new great talent whereas in decades prior it was full of amateurs and nepo babies who got lucky. Lol

Aside from drinking plenty of water, how can one scream or yell consistently without hurting their voice, or doing so in a healthy way? (I also know heavy metal singers need to do something like this too, but I don't know how they do that either)
@@Damon_Blue It's definitely a technique you develop over time - if you can feel it in the back of your throat, like right past your tonsils, you're just gonna hurt yourself. You want it to feel like it's coming more from the gut, and personally I never took classes or coaching so I just kind of had to feel it out over time. Took me about 3/4 years to get it down. Keep practicing but be as careful as you can!
