Learned a lot from you and Kroopin thank you!

      @PoopScoopsForNoobs. I was wondering have you ever had someone complained to you about a job? If so, is there something different that you’re doing now since then?

    • @PoopScoopsForNoobs
      @PoopScoopsForNoobs  Год назад

      @@liftyourspirit2910 That's a great question! I think the biggest change was moving away from a flat rate to a more variable rate of charging per bag or charging by time. I had a couple of scoops where I told the customer I would clean their yard for X amount, but the state of the yard was too difficult to do a full cleaning. They needed professional landscaper services at that point. The customer unfortunately was not very understanding and was upset that I couldn't do the whole yard for the little amount I initially asked for. So now I just charge by the bag and by how much I'm actually picking up. I get paid for the results provided

    • @liftyourspirit2910
      @liftyourspirit2910 Год назад +1

      @@PoopScoopsForNoobs ahh, thanks for the reply. So how does that look like? Can you go more in detail on how that looks like charging by the result provided?

    • @PoopScoopsForNoobs
      @PoopScoopsForNoobs  Год назад +1

      @@liftyourspirit2910 I'd recommend watching my Spring Rush video because I break down charging by the bag - ruclips.net/video/K2KHLE77dOg/видео.html
      Essentially you decide how much each bag is worth it for you and you tell your customer's that you charge by the bag for initial and one time appointments. Then there's no misunderstandings on how much they should pay since you're only charging for what you scoop up :)

I feel like as a noobie I’ve been doing traditional marketing and a refer a neighbor promo where someone can get a free weekly scoop (1 dog.. they still would pay the extra $3 per other do) but I want to start doing some paid ads to get more new customers and would love to know some of the best pro tips you’ve discovered along the way of doing paid ads. Awesome year!
    Quick question, what's your approach with using the work gloves?
    Do you clean them after each full day scoop?
    I currently use vinyl medical gloves. The reason for this is when I take the full poop bag out of the yellow bucket and tie off, it sometimes smears waste onto the gloves. If you have a better approach i'd love to hear it, considering it could save me overhead on boxes of gloves.
    Thanks buddy

    • @PoopScoopsForNoobs
      @PoopScoopsForNoobs  Год назад

      Great question! I rarely have poop smeared on my gloves, I put the plastic bag in the yellow bucket by putting the tie off ends on the SIDE of the buckets (and not underneath). If you put the tie off ends underneath, you will definitely have poop all over the tie off ends when you have to close up the bag, but if you leave the tie off sections to the side of the bucket, you don't have to worry about that.

    Love your vids man! I’m still trying to get past my fears and start myself! Question and I’m sorry if it’s already been answered, but are you dumping in your clients trash cans or do you haul the waste to a dump? Thanks brutha!

    • @PoopScoopsForNoobs
      @PoopScoopsForNoobs  Год назад

      Great question! It comes down to the laws in your town and state, you can use your own trashcan or take it to a landfill, or leave it in the client's trash can (but then it won't be considered full service), or you can rent a dumpster through a local business

    Do you do monthly invoices? And if so are they recurring and when do you send the invoice? If you send it out on the first of each month let’s say, some months have 5 weeks and some have 4. This is confusing to me when thinking about letting recurring payments to be allowed

    • @PoopScoopsForNoobs
      @PoopScoopsForNoobs  Год назад +1

      I don't do monthly invoices, I charge post visit each week. Which isn't ideal because you get charged a small transaction fee and that really adds up over time. If you want to charge by monthly, you should figure out how much you want to charge per week ($20 for example) and then times that by 52 weeks ($1040 a year) and then divide that by 12 months ($86.66 a month).
