Thank you Chris and everyone at Wolfe Ridge for allowing me the opportunity to be a part of this, It was AWESOME seeing this machine in action - for the FIRST time! And Thank You to all the members of the Back 40 Firewood Community for going along with me! Развлечения
Now that’s a log splitter. It was a pleasure looking at it work.👍🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
Wolfe Ridge is going to go down as the best ever American Log splitter....Kudos Chris...Your machines are flat out awesome
Thanks Grube!
Your face says all... Big boys playing whit Big toys... 😎👍😄
I like your Design of the splitter head I've been trying to design one For my Self for quite a while I always have trouble with the wings either bending or breaking off
That turned out AwEsOmE! Thanks for helping us show off this big beast!
Attn. Chris Wolfe ... I first learned about wolfe Ridge splitters from from Mike Morgan. "Outdoors With The Morgans" Congratulations Chris
@@stephenrhodesianridgeback7418 What temp do you preheat and post heat to?
@@stephenrhodesianridgeback7418 Awesome! Thanks for getting back to me. Good stuff!
Chris Victor here from royal Fw, ( email) this is what I need, all my rounds are this big but harder wood, don’t mind paying extra, just want the strongest and also quick cycle time if possible
@@VmedranoMr We can get this down to 7 or 8 seconds on the cycle time with the Kubota Diesel engine and 42 gpm pump, that is as good as it will get. Fast cycle time usually means that it doesn't have power... The only way to get both speed and power is to strap on bigger HP and pump.
I'm not easily impressed but when I am I'm really impressed !
That was definitely a great trial run of the new machine.
Yes indeed it was....great being a part of it.
A freaking monster awesome power more than an old man like me..30 years ago I would have it thank you for sharing your video
Please make the next video a Wolf Ridge factory tour
⬇️who’s with me?
That would be very cool.
I second (no pun intended) that motion. Very cool indeed.
yes yes yes, i would love a video tour.
Yep, great idea.....we're working on something like that for a future video. :-)
OOOOO, The wolf on the push plate is cool as hell, nice splitter Chris!
One AWSOME MACHINE! grat. Video
Every piece I see they make not only functions excellent, they look amazing! They definitely build QUALITY products.
You don’t think those pieces are way too big!?
Those are great splitters we bought a 35 ton about 3 years ago with a 4 way wedge nothing but good to say about it and service is awesome thanks
thank you sir!!
Awesome machine! I want one 😀 great video guys 👏🏻
That was awesome. Chris is the man
Just came across this older post, and all I can say that's a mighty big splitter, I'm doing stuff like that with a box store splitter, after I noodle it of course
Keep up the good work boys!!!!
Time to trade your splitter in.
Darn nice splitter.
Thanks for showing it
lol..no, not quite yet there Larry...I'll stay with what I got for now....hahahaha
Glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching.
That thing is a beast!
Chris, this is simply awesome! So glad Dan was able to debut this for you! Definitely a monster and the biggest commercially produced I've ever seen. As you said, could use some tweaking. But overall, a knockout! Color me impressed.
Dan, what a great opportunity to push your channel to higher levels. Chris really did you a solid on this one. Only up from here on out, buddy! Keep the videos coming!
Thanks...glad you enjoyed and yes indeed it was a HUGE opportunity...so thankful for being a part of it. Thanks for watching and for all the feedback/support...really appreciate you being here in the Back 40! :-)
Very impressive splitter awesome video keep up the good work
I think it needs a Bigger side table wings to keep the wood from spilling over and onto the ground. Great Big Log Splitter.........WOW ! Thanks for sharing Back 40 Firewood !
That's insanely awesome!
That's just insane how much power that has. Definitely shows the build quality of Wolfe Ridge!
Yeah that thing was crazy....just the size of the wedge was awesome.
@@Back40Firewood здравствуй друг ! Пожалуйста обзор твоего дрова колоть машина сделай ! Буду благодарен ! Выздоравливай ! Жду нового видео !🎅🎄👍
NOW THAT'S A BAD ARSE SPLITTER!!!!!
That thing was WICKED....nice job, now get stacking :-)
lol...yep and I actually need to use the trailer the next day so had to do a quick unload...will stack later..hahaha
That is some mo fockin machine well done Chris
Good build guys. From the UK.
Beauty & Beast in the same machine. 😃♥️
Awesome video
So satisfying
You got quite a scoop on wood splitting news! Congrats!
Thanks....it was great being part of it and putting the video together was a blast as well.
Very impressive as in all their splitters
That is a fearsome machine, but some of those rounds did test it.
Good stuff!
Great content. Helps grow your vlog for sure. Keep it up.
Thanks...the video did turn out great....I was a little worried just cuz I knew it'd prolly get lots of views/attention....lol
Good video BK40ty. That thing is something else dude. Later on.
Awesome splitter.
Absolute beast!!
Greatest splitter i have ever seen
You see it at 14:00 ? I can split faster with an ace
WHOA!!!😲
This video is killing it for views. I bet you get 1000 subs before the end of the year
That thing is bad ass!
Attn. Chris Wolfe ... I first learned about wolfe Ridge splitters from froom Mike Morgan. "Outdoors With The Morgans"
That would thack my firewood business to a hole new level but I would not be able to afford it
Now that’s a HUGE SPLITTER ! If I had that, I could have a years worth of firewood in a week !
Very nice build Mr Wolf
Thank you!
That's just good you tube right there
Amazing machine
Amazing
Very nice. Impressive machinery! Good job fellas. I didn’t see any sweat..... lol
I live about a half hour away from there and did not even know that these people were making what looks like bulletproof equipment so close to home.! Thank you for the video and Well Done Mr Wolfe!!
lol...that's how I was a year ago...searching all over the internet for log splitters and come to find out that 5 miles from me is a place not only making them, but making some of the best out there!
@@Back40Firewood love your channel! Still catching up with videos. ,please drop a hint or two where you are.
@@heathworsley8347 If you go to www.back40woodhound.com/ and then look at the Wood Hound Map. The green marker on the map is the Back 40 wood yard.
@@Back40Firewood thanks
that was so cool Dan. i have had rounds that big or bigger. had to split them by hand ,not fun!
Thanks Joe...oh man, yeah anything that big would not be fun splitting by had...what kind of wood was it? Hopefully oak...lol :-)
@@Back40Firewood oak
Yooooo back 40! That was awesome man!! Is there possibly going to be one of these showing up at the back 40 wood lot???😂👍🏻 killer video man. Makes me want to get my timber wolf finished now👍🏻
LOL...I can barely move the one I have around the way it is....if I had one of those BMEs where ever it was dropped off would be where it would stay..hahaha
Nice he will be pleased.
Hell of a machine Chris!. I use my 28 Pro everyday and have enjoyed every minute. Great job on video Wood Hound!
Thank you Mark! Any major snow fall there yet?
Wolfe Ridge MFG about a inch Chris, but cold. Keep up the good work.
Thanks...really happy with how the video turned out. I figured it would be getting lots of views so was a bit nervous about it...hahaha
Back 40 Firewood you did a good job!
I had to fast forward,got tired of waiting.Glad I stayed,That thing is a MAN !!
Good stuff 😏👍
That aught to do it ~8^) Almost wants to make me change over to wood heating just to play with that thing!
That thing was 🔥. What a beast!!
Wished I had a homestead with a wood burning box. I'd hock the farm and buy that hulk of a machine lol
This is the video to share folks! If this one can't rocket the sub's up in a hurry there is something wrong. Hats of to Chris and the gang at wolf ridge, what an incredible machine. Also let's not forget the guy that had the balls to call and order that beast out of blind faith in the ability of Chris and crew.
Amen and amen
Thank you!
Well put Jason.
Yes indeed Jason...thanks for the comment and appreciate the support. I knew this video would get lots of attention and views. Was a bit nervous putting it together cuz I knew I had to set the bar high...lol...turned out pretty good tho! :-)
Very impressive, I think the 8 way will go all day every day but the 16 way had me wincing a bit; kinda had that trying to push 6 inches through a 5 inch gap sound that might not be good over time even though it's super beefy.
WOW!!!!!
Holy. Cow. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Sweet machine! Nice work Wolfe Ridge MFG you guys make a solid product. 16 way wedge what? #WorldsOkayestFarmer
all i can say is WOW
Wow!!!
What...
That is a monster 😳
I got a 25 ton an it duz the job to...
Wow.
That is my dream one day...
awesome
nice upload friend
Can I and others see this blast through hard wood, were all waiting....
A few of the pieces were Elm which some consider hardwood...but didn't have any Oak or Hickory available at the time.
I got a 40ton with a nice 14.5 Kohler trailer mounted !
Us volunteers in east TN who give away free firewood to the truly needy NEED a splitter, doesn't need to be THIS big !!
Chris let the cat out of the bag yesterday on Facebook haha. Been looking forward to checking this thing out. 240lb wedge! Unreal! Very cool machine. Almost 700! #1KBYTURKEYDAY is going to happen!
Thanks...was a blast being there and putting video together. Your hashtag is generating some buzz!! Love it!! lol
@@Back40Firewood Haha Buzz Buzz! Just 267 to go! EASY! #1KBYTURKEYDAY
Wow!!! I sure wouldn't want to be standing ànywhere close to that machine if a hose broke.
I have a 6 way on my timber wolf and have found the the 3 way does a lot better unless you have the perfect size rounds going through the 6 way. The 4 way seems to make better splits even if you have to push through a few times
That beast needs a 60 ton cylinder! !
That’s a beast but I would not want to pay for it lol
David Malloy
You can say that again. Would take 2 years of profits/income for me to pay for it
Setting aside their wood business, they both should consider modeling! Super good lookin guys!
Nice job on the splitter. Now if you add the wood stripper the Northstar 42 ton has, it will be killer.
Chris what pressure are you running at. It certainly is higher than 2000 psi. I use the double sensing valve to but if I crank up the pressure I am not sure how to rsync the double sensing valve so that it doesn't start return to soon
need a log spiltter at the other end to split the pieces it makes into usable size pieces. If you was a tree trimmer cutting up big logs all day it might be useful.
It was a special order unit to be only used to produce splits for a boiler. Boiler wood is suppose to be big. It wasn't to be used to create pizza wood.
That's what I'm talking about!! Another awesome machine from Chris Wolfe and his crew at Wolfe Ridge MFG.
Thanks Charlie!
Now we know what Paul Bunyan would've used back in the day....in fact, that should be the name for that wood splitter: the Paul Bunyan!
That splitter should be called Frankenstein!
That is fucking cool actually.
which material is used for the splitter, the axe, wedge
*NICE* and a _sixteen way wedge???_ 😍🥰
I like everything but the interstate battery. They are so weak and don't last. I'd most def replace that with a Heavy Duty Optima.
What steel did you use for the wedges ? How hard?
How small of round can you put through that 18 way wedge. Or mite say how feasible of small round it would go through that weird
That was a cool video. You should have been called slick shifty. Do they give tours of the factory?
Thanks....I think we might be working on a tour video for later this winter....and then again next year when he has grand opening of his new facility. :-)
I would love to see a video of "How these are made".........
Badass!!! I want one just like but just on a smaller scale !!
Just a thought an emblem could be put on the push plate and stamped on the wood ends ??
At least you got somebody else to do the hard work 😓 for you 😝
NOW.... you guys are going to have to make a MOVER for the ROUNDS that thing can BUST!!! LOL
I had looked at there set ups there not bad it was a toss up between them Eastonmade and power split and I'd have to say I live the powersplit buggy it's very mobil self propelled. I purchased the 1 without conveyor since I have wood all over the place but if I was to buy another splitter I'd spend the money on the Eastonmade 18-22 or the 22-28 I believe that's what the numbers are but I would get it with the box wedge especially if you are doing bundled firewood if you want to talk more about the powersplit feel free to pm me
I think you and Joe's firewood are working together.
lol...not exactly sure what you mean...care to explain a bit more?
@@Back40Firewood Just messing with you.
@@kevin86674 ahh...hahahaha..ok, thought so ;-)
Joe's premium firewood taught him everything he knows thru his fun filled exciting videos.
I wondered why you were cutting such large diameter rounds the other day. Now I know!
lol...yes indeed, they had a home to go to....haha
He did not blink for the first 15 seconds.
