Nice job ! I have the 22 RS and use it as a primary splitter . I make larger woodstove size pieces 6x6" . But if I were to go into the bundle business I would definatly add a lower notch as you have accomplished here . This mod looks like a winner for the product you make . Nice splitter !!
Good job, that is AR plate, so drilling a 5/8 hole is a long process with a few drill sharpenings... I guess I thought you could just take the bolt out and let it rest on the beam to get smaller pieces. Anyway, it will work now!
I have a wedge that floats on the bottom it does not stay down consistency raising up and not getting consistent pieces I will be adding this feature to mine as well great idea
I have seen other non-commercial type splitters with a floating 4 way wedge and have never really been impressed with it. I wanted this one to be locked down, just like it is in all the other positions. Maybe it would work just floating, I don't know. I never even tried it. I just always thought I would make a notch to get the bolt through to prevent it from riding up.

Great job my friend that’s a great size piece of firewood for camp bundles. Keep the videos coming cheers Brad 👌🏻🔥🇨🇦
Interesting. I’m surprised it came without this setting !
Looks 👍
For someone new to the video thing keep it up because I’m a big firewood guy and enjoy watching can’t wait to see what’s next
Thanks, I appreciate it.

Thanks, I'll know when I get more time on it, but I am very happy with it so far.
Great mod. I was wondering why the wedge was set that high up from the factory. Please keep up the good work with the videos you're a good presenter.

I thought that might work. Looks like a winner to me👍
So far so good

Exactly why I did this
I like it!
It was easy to do, required few tools, and makes great wood!
Did you try to flip the wedge and see if that would drop it enough?
Yes, it will go very low but with the way the wedge is sharpened it doesn't work
Ah I didn’t think about the angle of the bevel in there
I guess another wedge will go on top. 6way life. Or is that an 8way lol
Lol I'm not sure this has the power for that
@@The_Woodpile crotchety stuff no. Straight grain bundle wood I bet it would be fine. 17 tons is a lot of push power.
Should have asked a buddy that has a plasma cutter to help you out…
Now I know. I didn't even think about it.
Now bolt a 6 way on top 😬
Wrong kind of hammer for the job! A ball peen hammer is the kind of hammer to use
I don't own a ball peen hammer
