Another example of the tech industry settling on the dumbest terminology - when every other industry already has appropriate terminology for this stuff(...I mean, 'skeletonized'? The aforementioned 'perforated'? How about just 'lightened'?). So damn annoying.
Hi, We've reached out via email - it seems that you did not have the latest version of the test software we provided installed during this review. We believe this is the cause of the degraded wireless performance issues you experienced, and not reflective of the performance users will experience.
I've bought 3 Model O wireless mice from them. They ALL had the scroll wheel click become too sensitive. Scroll down, registers a click. Unusable, got rid of them and went with an Aerox 3. I gave the 'little guy' a chance and got burned.
I really feel like these scroll wheel issues are plaguing the entire mice market.. I've now had this happen with everything from Sharkoon but also brands like Logitech and Razer, and I usually pay €100+ for my mice. None of them last through the first year, usually that means you have warranty but It's so incredibly aggravating. Especially when the Sharkoon mice i got for €15 lasted longer than the Razer and Logitech ones and now can no longer be bought.. Maybe Steelseries will do better but i doubt it, googling the Aerox 3 shows the exact same issue that all these other mice have.
@@leonardos.1507 had the same issue and it didn't fix it. was definitely a hardware issue. that being said i was able to RMA my mouse almost 2 years after and get a full refund, gonna buy the O2 cos it felt awesome.
Would love to see short circuit (or LTT/the lab) take a look at some of the popular "enthusiast" mice from companies like Pulsar or Lamzu. The space has come a long way from the days of finalmouse, and is growing very quickly. Many small companies sell products that rival expensive mainstream mice at much lower prices. This is great for consumers of course, but reminiscent of mechanical keyboards a few short years ago, very few people know about them outside of certain communities.
sadly communities like the custom mech keyboard one just don't really wanna make stuff available to a wide audience, otherwise we'd see backlit keycaps with south facing legends waay more often.
@@opachki8325what are you talking about, most keyboard enthusiasts just find backlit keyboards(excluding white or maybe another color that matches their specific build) ugly and tacky.
I used to be such a big Glorious fanboy. I own lots of their products, including the original day 1 Model O with the old-style cable. But the last several products I've purchased from them have been hugely disappointing due to out of the box QC issues. Even after having them replaced, the replacements had the exact same issues after being assured they wouldn't. The drop in quality combined with their ridiculously high shipping prices has steered me away from them completely these days.
Debounce is not "time between double clicks", it's the time between actuating the switch and the click being registered by the mouse. The reason you need a tiny bit of debounce is that when you press down the switch, the metal contacts inside the switch may bounce a bit and make a couple separate contacts before they come to a rest and are connected to each other. If there is zero debounce then the mouse would register a click on every bounce of the metal contacts within the switch, meaning you could get multiple clicks registered on a single mouse button press. Debounce is one of the main reason why different mice have different latencies. I think Razer has some mice with optical switches which do not need any debounce since the switch is completely different, and due to that the mouse has very low latency compared to others.
One thing to note. This mouse isn't really ambidextrious, as stated, since its not really going to be used by a left-handed user, due to lack of side buttons for a left handed user.
Ive used the previous version, the model O with essentially the same button layout as a lefty and its as ambidextrous as 95% of other mice out there, you get used to the awkwardness and slight discomfort of side buttons with time just with any other mouse, in terms of good truly ambidextrous fps mice there is very few options and almost none in the super lightweight category, its just kind of a given that being left-handed and looking for mice you always compromise on something, even with the few dedicated left handed mice there is rarely the perfect mouse for you (although it has gotten a lot better in the past 5 years)
The dropouts are being caused by wireless interference from your 2.4ghz WiFi network I had the same issue with my Glorious mice when I had one of my google wifi routers setup on my desk. Moving it further away from the desk fixed the dropouts. But also, that just shouldn't happen and glorious really need to fix it.
USB 3 ports also interfere with 2.4 ghz. Plug the wireless dongles into 2.0 ports whenever you can. If you have a laptop with only USB 3 then it'll be a dice roll on if it works or not.
@@-_--_-1253 Imagine making a high-end wireless mouse in 2023, and it doesn't work perfectly with USB 3 ports lmao. I would instantly return it if I had anywhere near close to these issues, considering the price. That said hopefully they can fix the problems, but I since the first model O also had these issues, and huge quality assurance issues with the mouse clicks being squeeky as well as the scroll wheel issues that several people have mentioned, I have no faith and will not buy their products anymore
@@MrSinxs Yeah that's the sad truth. Not much that can be done there. I never bought the model O myself but I dealt with this issue on my og g pro wireless. So hopefully my advice helps someone out.
I suppose there are QC issues with Glorious, but I have like 4 mice from them and never had any problems. Over time though most Glorious products end up going on sale at some point which is something to note
You are supposed to plug the cable into the laptop, then the white thing you see on the left of the screen at 10:33 onto the cable, and finally plug the dongle into the white thing. Youre having drop out issues because you didn't plug it in correctly.
My model D came with optional extra glide pads that made it feel so much better. Plus it's wired so no connection issues. Using it just over 2 years now and no issues so far, my previous 4 Razer mice all had some form of click issues in that time and this was like 1/3rd of the price so I can't complain at all. Plus their warranty seems really good, unlike Razer who's CS was awful to me. Real shame that a $100 mouse has those sorts of issues, I would've expected a lot better from them.
As someone who has owned Glorious mice, you need to wear in their normal feet. You can slide it around a hard pad for awhile to wear it in, but it will take like a week to wear in. My Glorious Model 2 Wired is on the way. Hope I like it.
used the model d for about nearly 3 years. the shape and lightness was nice coming from a og g502. but i quickly realized the holes were going to be a problem with my sweaty hands. sweat gunk gets caught in the holes and is pretty difficult and time consuming to clean out. eventually got the grip tape for it. grip tape was nice. covered the holes and provided some nice grip. but since the material is sort of elastic, it eventually collapses and indents into the mouse holes. so sweat gunk eventually gets caught there and is even harder to clean because of the material itself and theres no scraping those indents. started looking into some mice and saw that the model d pro was out on the group buy. on paper was what i wanted. wireless, same exact shape and function, and no holes. but the color ways sucked and it being a group buy was not the greatest. held off on it and kept looking around. thought about the gpro superlight. tried my friends since he had one. realize i hate the shape, especially the way the back is a big hump that digs into my palm. eventually stumbled across the deathadder v3 pro. only looked into it a little and decided that was the one. used 150 worth of prepaid cards from a work bonus and got it only paying 15 bucks out of pocket. pretty much established its my endgame mouse. had little to no learning curve as it is nearly identical in shape to the model d but feels much more solid in every way. the body, the mouse buttons, everything. especially the side buttons. model d has a good bit of pretravel and a bit of post and overall feels likes its squishy. dav3 has no pretravel and feels like it just stops nice and solidly after pressing. pretty much no complaints so far. been using it nearly 4 months. oh and optical switches so bahbye debounce. for the record i dont like the deathadder v2. the one touted as one of the most popular gaming mice. then later i saw that glorious came out with new mice. the 2 versions and was like yeah no. im done with glorious
For me its the opposite : the holes lets my sweaty hands breathe a little which makes me sweat way less, to the point where i dont wanna use a mouse without perforations ever again
I've had the wired Model D for a long time and its been my favorite mouse. Haven't had any issues at all unlike some other comments I've seen about the Model O. The general mouse usage of this Model O 2 does seem disappointing though.
same I have both wired and wireless though the wired had some QC issues (though it was an early production unit) anyhow the wireless has been flawless for me.
We need these three things on a mouse; - Adjustable contour (likely by replacing or appending onto the interface one's hand rests on) - Swappable switches ((Different feel and ease of replacement) - Augmentation for left hand on non-ambi mouse designs That's it. The ability to cover the honeycomb with a diffused material so it is smooth on the hand would be nice if the contour is fixed, so digging in, the mouse doesn't leave bumps in one's hand. I would _really_ love an ergo MOBA-style mouse with a keypad on the side which could just be the same kind of clicky buttons chicklet keyboards use, and I would be a happy camper.
loved my model O and they even RMA'd it for a full refund after almost 2 years just because of a scroll wheel issue. now I got 87 bucks in gift card so this one's a no brainer, customer support is up there with the big guys. EDIT: GET THE BLACK ONE. don't buy a white peripheral if your hand is gonna be on it all day.
RMA'd my black one about 1 year ago and they only had a white ones in stock at my retailer so I took them up on the offer since they are the only one selling glorious products in my country and my Pc is white anyway. I'd say I've kept it quite pristine, but i did need to force myself to only eat with my left hand for about a week.
@@GanDtech maybe all your white stuff is fine because you're a tech channel that has dozens of mice that you swap between? for any actual use case...you'll be using the mouse every day. unless you're a literal robot you have skin cells, catch these acid hands.
As someone who has the white model o for 2 years and uses it every day, it is getting pretty worn. The glorious logo is fading, and the white is turning to yellow even after cleaning it. So yeah, get the black version. It still functions perfectly, though.
The Newegg sponsorship felt a little weird. Have they successfully addressed their customer support and product support issues? I've been making a concerted effort to avoid Newegg until they addressed their support issues and it doesn't seem like they have.
I bought the Model O Wireless White when it first came out and had the same drop issues. Unfortunately I couldn't tell if it was the mouse or Win11 as that was new at the time as well. It did get much better after some time with proper Driver updates. Hopefully it's that simple as well but should not be a thing at this rate.
Honestly, their products are terrible. I Bought a gmmk pro and every single stab wouldn't move at all. Then I bought a sonnet. Glorious just has decent marketing. That's it.
Well they have qc issues but I have a model d wireless been using it for a long time and it works fine I've had many mice and my model o wireless and model d wireless were pretty good
And half their marketing is just ripping off an organic community's branding. Like, they couldn't even invent their own name so they just bandwagoned off the PCMR community.
I just love how its really a raw unboxing and a fun video by ShortCircuit Great job linus media team You guys make enjoyable videos And knowlegable tooooo..... KEEP GOING
Their stuff always feels like a slightly nicer version of the generic tech you find on Amazon. The mouse bungee is actually a good example of that. If they up their QC a little more it's not a bad market, but they could do with a rebrand at the same time. I can't say I'm into the PCMR branding.
@@hey01e5 well i mean the word glorious doesnt really connotate with pcmr. and it was the original brand naming scheme of the products so i highly doubt they would fully rebrand with an entirely different name when their products were known as like the "glorious model d"
The fact that you're trying out a gaming mouse on a laptop and calling it mid it's fucking crazy, of course is not gonna perform the best on shitty ass laptop
"Our office building with an extremely congested 2.4GHz setup has a 2.4GHz wireless mouse show symptoms of this issue - Bad mouse." ....? Not that I ever heard of this brand.
I can't get behind "ambidextrous" mice that still only have side buttons on one side. It's the main reason I only use the G-pro wireless because I can swap the buttons from the left side to the right side as I'm left handed.
LTT mouse reviews are always underwhelming. It's really a shame especially how they are trying to amp up the "scientific" nature of literally everything except the mouse reviews.
Ive had a model o wireless for ages now, basically since it launched and its been amazing. No complaints at all but from other comments it seems to be luck of the draw? But form personal experience their keyboards and mice are all great value and work really well
No experience with their keyboards, was considering one of them before my 2nd Model O wireless went bad. I was (and still am) concerned about their QC so I went with a Keychron K2 instead.
I don’t personally have a glorious mouse but like 4 people in my class have and every single one of them has something broken on the mouse, for 3 people it’s the scroll wheel and for one it’s the left mb, which half of the time won’t register clicks and when it does then it’s mostly double clicks. It’s crazy to me that those people actually use their mice like that, i would be so annoyed by a broken mouse.
their support is excellent im on my third model o and every time they replace it (first time i had to pay shipping, second time was completely free but that could be they changed it and not because it was my second time getting a replacement) so tell them to get a replacement from support
One of the few mice reviews I will actually see on this channel, nothing against David, seems like a cool guy. Just his clear bias for logitech is what dissuades me from watching more mice vids. So since I know he'll complaint about glorious, I'm all for that lol.
I’m right handed and have tried both ambi and right specific mice. The g pro wireless I use now is just so nice to hold I can’t fault it. I’ve got larger hands too
My Model O Wireless sensor died within 2 weeks, then my GMMK Pro died within 1 1/2 years, and finally my Model O Pro has rattle issues so safe to say I'm never getting another product from them. Went back to Razer and am much happier over there
There was a big sticker telling you to update the firmware, you mentioned it as you ripped it off, and then you didn't update the firmware, had bad performance and got pissy about it. Wow.
How can you call a mouse "ambidextrous" when the side buttons are only on one side. I'd like to see David have a go with his left hand for feel when a company claims it's for Lefties as well.
I own a Model O 1st gen White and Black, Model D Wireless, GMMK Pro, GMMK Compact, and their Glorious Panda switches. The only product of theirs that is not currently buried in a bin or thrown away is the Glorious Panda desktop toy. It's sooo cute. Their products do not last and there are much better options on the market that will stand the test of time.
One of the main reasons people liked Glorious in the past was for drag clicking and other ‘mouse abuse’ tactics in Minecraft. Since you can turn off the debounce time, unlike most other brands, you could get insane numbers like 30+ cps. I’m surprised they are still somewhat relevant. Does anyone use these mice for non-cps related activities nowadays?
Funnily enough the other day I picked up a Model 0- Wireless. Now, I'm not very happy with it, as it advertises about 75 hours of "use", though, leaving it on overnight (12h or so) is enough to kill the battery. Every single day I need to charge it. Has anyone else had this experience? I just ended up ordering the Logitech G Pro Superlight.
I had an issue with the connectivity on my Model D wireless (although I see you guys got it fixed with a software update). I found that if I placed my phone anywhere near the line between the dongle and the mouse, it would cut out all the time. Maybe the wireless card on the laptop was causing some interference.
The DPI led being tied to general rgb lighting is a firmware bug I believe , because on m D- the DPI led is changing colors even though I have disabled the general RGB
Interesting Newegg sponsor segment. To be fair, the WAN show did mention "X months" before giving Newegg a chance again from a consumer perspective. They didn't really commit to anything as far as them being a sponsor, though. So I guess we should expect Anker back as a sponsor in about year? Maybe less? I'm just curious about the "how long to wait until we bring back the sponsorship of an unethical, anti-consumer company that we openly ridiculed" timeframe.
Honestly, I thought the same thing when it popped up in the sponsor segment. Given how Newegg handled things prior, and given the tech community's response, LTT's included, I'm pretty surprised. Not a huge fan to be honest, especially given how scathing LTT's criticism was (and rightfully so) at the time.
My last Glorious devices (keyboard, last gen of this mouse) both died fairly fast, the quality is just not there. Now this looks like more of the same. Nope. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Great editing as always though, so at least the quality on LTT is still tops!
I just don't like holes in my mice. And, I prefer a heavier mouse over a lite one when using it. RGB or not, no big deal or deal breaker for me. If it comes with it, sure, ok, I'll use it. I originally purchased the SteelSeries Rival 5 mouse, and it is a TAD lite for my tastes. I eventually have gone with the Alienware AW959 RGB mouse. This mouse is more to my liking. With its weight system from 5 to 20 grams, I loaded up the weights and make it as heavy as I can. Feels very good in my hand! Combined with my AW768 mechanical keyboard and Area 51 Triad computer, it all goes so well together, and not just from an aesthetics standpoint. I find my typing has improved over the SteelSeries Apex 7, which I didn't think would happen.....and my "mousing" is back to what I like!
i got the Model D and D-. i love them both, but the - is a tad small for my hands. Still decided to keep it for a back up. If you have minor soldering experience, and trust yourself, i HIGHLY suggest getting some kaihl reds or something along those lines and swapping out the switches, i did that in both of my glorious mice and its awesome. I also got the GMMK TKL and the XXL mousemat
I have medium large hands and accidentally got the D-. Canceled it in time and got the model D. Model D is the PERFECT size to be any grip type or hybrid palm and I would've really regretted it if it was smaller lol
Asus mices are underrated imo. The keris aimpoint is my favorite. It has wireless 2.4 GHz and you can keep the dongle in the mouse, Bluetooth, hotswappable switches, 75g weight, PBT plastic material, 36,000 DPI (Bruh) 1000Hz polling rate and a very accurate sensor. The only criticism I have is the DPI button is on the back of the mouse.
What mouse pad is that? 😮 It looks fantastic and 2 of those would really complete my desk.. I have been searching for the right look for a while I hope they are available to get somewhere.
"Glorious has reached out to us about an update that has been pushed out that should fix the connectivity issues we had!" based on the fact that EVERY Glorious Mouse so far had wireless issues, im actually cancelling my plans to get a Model i2. Ive seen so many reviews already that mention bad Glorious Wireless...
Yeah, even their previous model has connectivity issues with the 2.4Ghz. I changed it for the Asus Keris Aimpoint and didn't experience any 2.4Ghz interference
@@keonxd8918 I've been with Logitech wireless basically my whole life and never had any issues. I actually wanted to replace my G502LS with a Model i2, but I guess I won't...
Owner of 2 model O - wireless because lower profile of 1.4 inch height is necessary due to wrist injury. I love them both but they have little QC issues, but are still my mains over everything else. One has a wonky main click, will not really go down on one particular corner, but that took me a while to notice and the other has something loose on the inside of it if you shake it really well? Otherwise it works perfect, the rattle does not occur during any kind of gaming, no matter how intense my mouse swipes are. BTW, big thanks to Glorious for making a mouse for me. :) Their customer service was also really good whenever I had an issue. Good people of YT: Are there any other similar ambi small mice with 1.4-1.45 inch heights (35-37mm preferably shorter tho)? Seems literally everything is 1.5'' (even the viper mini and that expensive version of it?) and that .1 inches makes a huge difference for me in terms of comfort and aim. I'm willing to try anything, even chinese clones. I'm more curious and not super looking to replace something that is basically perfect for me.
Happy owner of a Lamzu Atlantis Mini Pro 4k (lol) now, as well as the Zaopin Z1 pro (also 4k compatible, same guts as Lamzu, but 4k dongle still not released I think). I alternate those 2 and have never played better. Both of my O- Wireless are sitting gloriously in their boxes. One has a crooked scroll wheel and the other has loose internals. Both came like that, btw ^^ I loved them, but better products with better shapes came out.
Bought my Model D a couple years ago, haven't had any issues though that was before the rebranding. Wonder if they had a corporate shakeup type thing when the rebranding happened.
The Model O Wireless (original) is worth buying if you can get it on sale for 39.99. Same with Model D Wireless. It's a good backup mouse. I use the Razer DeathAdder Pro V3. Hands down best mouse I've owned in a long time. Better than the Logitech G Pro Superlight, which is still Micro USB (!!!) and has mushy side buttons (at least on mine; returned; never had issue with original G Pro Wireless).
Seems alright but I like my Logitech g604 wireless I just upgraded to earlier in the month due to more buttons and 240 hrs battery, and HERO sensor , it also comes with a shilling sticker idk what to do with!
I really like my g604 too, you can find uses for all them buttons in most games. You can even find uses for the + and - button, other than the default DPI change, I used them to adjust the bullet-drop compensator in Tarkov.
Id also like to say as someone who has been daily dsriving one of these mice for a couple years now i haven't noticed any difference in the friction of my scrollwheel.
I've had constant wireless mouse dropouts from Corsair Slipstream mice. Their dongle is very sensitive to whether you have it connected to a USB2 or USB3 controller. It's possible that this dongle suffers a similar issue... that or y'all have an immense amount of noise on the 2.4GHz band around the office which is also possible and likely.
Glorious used to be a champion with their entry and accessible products at a competitive price for consumers trying to get into enthusiast field. For example, their GMMK built quality and price with their marketing material stating they want to provide a solution for non-groupbuy items. But now they are slowly turning into a money hungry company just look at the software features of the GMMK Numpad with multiple addons to upsell you and the Series 1 pro mouse groupbuy starting a few days after Model 0 pro mouse groupbuy ended. Big L Edit: Changed built quality of the GMMK Numpad to software features.
I really wish glorious would make a competitor to the Razer Naga Pro so that I can finally dump it. The clicks have become mushy, but besides that the product is great, I just want something lighter with all the same features.
I had a similar dropout issue with a Corsair Dark Core RGB SE mouse. It was being caused by the iCue software and couldn't be avoided. Uninstalling the iCue software corrected it, but all the RGB went to unicorn diarhea and I couldn't customize the buttons. I replaced it with the G502 Lightspeed.
I bought a model o wireless. First one they sent the wrong color and there is squeaky sound on right click. They sent another one free of charge, the color was right but there is still a squeaky right click. They need to fix their QC issue. I finally ought a Logitech G Pro superlight and never looked back.
Sad. I think that Glourious really had a shot at becoming a solid brand. But they should have addressed their quality standard and control. Poor fit of individual parts, warped materials (sometimes resulting in wobble on the desk surface), slipping scroll wheels, lack of resistance on wheel click, and so on. There pretty much isn't a major mouse manufacturer who wouldn't have some prominent issues, be it on HW or SW side. Which is alarming given how saturated this particular market is and how expensive have some mouses gotten.
I'm using the first Glorious Model O wired and I want to stick to it. That design of the O 2 just doesn't hit my taste. Especially the curve of the mouse buttons - and also, I prefer the old logo of Glorious. But the O 1 also fits really great into my hand with a palm grip and also gives me a lot of confidence in my aim. I'm also one of those high DPI users. Right now I'm at 11600 DPI but I would go higher if I get about the same mouse speed when I reduce the cursor speed settings in Windows. So partways I'm interested in the O 2 by the sensor upgrade but not by the design. I really hope Glorious they do a updated Version of the first one.
I love the Glorious brand! I have the keyb and used to rock the original Model O. I may be biased though cause I recently purchased the Model D Wireless and they sent me two so who knows lol. Anyone need a mouse?

Honey comb with circles? Isn't that just perforation? The hexagons is kind of what makes it honey comb isn't it?
people just got used to calling it that, the razer viper mini SE's holes are called honeycomb as well
When bees make the honey comb they start with circles but those turn to hexagons when packed together, so technically correct perhaps?
Yeah and honeycomb maximises the material removed too. Circles should leave a bit extra.... Maybe like 0.3g lol 🤣🤣
Another example of the tech industry settling on the dumbest terminology - when every other industry already has appropriate terminology for this stuff(...I mean, 'skeletonized'? The aforementioned 'perforated'? How about just 'lightened'?). So damn annoying.

When I talked about latency above, I meant click latency of the main mouse buttons. Not mouse movement latency or stuff like that.
One thing to note. This mouse isn't really ambidextrious, as stated, since its not really going to be used by a left-handed user, due to lack of side buttons for a left handed user.
doesn't mean it's not ambidextrous, it's still an ambidextrous shaped mouse and if left handed users don't use this it still does not change that fact
it's still ambidextrous. and left handed people can still use the side buttons with the ring or pinky finger, it's not really uncomfortable
Ive used the previous version, the model O with essentially the same button layout as a lefty and its as ambidextrous as 95% of other mice out there, you get used to the awkwardness and slight discomfort of side buttons with time just with any other mouse, in terms of good truly ambidextrous fps mice there is very few options and almost none in the super lightweight category, its just kind of a given that being left-handed and looking for mice you always compromise on something, even with the few dedicated left handed mice there is rarely the perfect mouse for you (although it has gotten a lot better in the past 5 years)
That’s still Ambi, there’s typically two styles of mice. Ambidextrous or Ergonomic.
The dropouts are being caused by wireless interference from your 2.4ghz WiFi network
I had the same issue with my Glorious mice when I had one of my google wifi routers setup on my desk.
@@-_--_-1253 I use the Razer DA V2 X (the budget DA) with the dongle connected to a USB 3.0 port and my PC connected to Wi-Fi, no issues.
@@FastSloth87 Glad to hear it. USB 3 is just finnicky sometimes and causes issues so I thought I'd throw that out there.
Hope I like it.
did you get should i buy the new model o 2, or stick eith model o?
used the model d for about nearly 3 years. the shape and lightness was nice coming from a og g502. but i quickly realized the holes were going to be a problem with my sweaty hands. sweat gunk gets caught in the holes and is pretty difficult and time consuming to clean out. eventually got the grip tape for it. grip tape was nice. covered the holes and provided some nice grip. but since the material is sort of elastic, it eventually collapses and indents into the mouse holes. so sweat gunk eventually gets caught there and is even harder to clean because of the material itself and theres no scraping those indents.
started looking into some mice and saw that the model d pro was out on the group buy. on paper was what i wanted. wireless, same exact shape and function, and no holes. but the color ways sucked and it being a group buy was not the greatest. held off on it and kept looking around. thought about the gpro superlight. tried my friends since he had one. realize i hate the shape, especially the way the back is a big hump that digs into my palm. eventually stumbled across the deathadder v3 pro. only looked into it a little and decided that was the one. used 150 worth of prepaid cards from a work bonus and got it only paying 15 bucks out of pocket. pretty much established its my endgame mouse. had little to no learning curve as it is nearly identical in shape to the model d but feels much more solid in every way. the body, the mouse buttons, everything. especially the side buttons. model d has a good bit of pretravel and a bit of post and overall feels likes its squishy. dav3 has no pretravel and feels like it just stops nice and solidly after pressing. pretty much no complaints so far. been using it nearly 4 months. oh and optical switches so bahbye debounce. for the record i dont like the deathadder v2. the one touted as one of the most popular gaming mice.
then later i saw that glorious came out with new mice. the 2 versions and was like yeah no. im done with glorious
The general mouse usage of this Model O 2 does seem disappointing though.
yeah i have a model D since 2021 December and no issues here
same I have both wired and wireless though the wired had some QC issues (though it was an early production unit) anyhow the wireless has been flawless for me.
Same with model D wireless. Works perfect.
Yep my D works great
@@prestonknaack mhmmm u would need to see a doctor if it wouldn't
We need these three things on a mouse;
- Adjustable contour (likely by replacing or appending onto the interface one's hand rests on)
- Swappable switches ((Different feel and ease of replacement)
- Augmentation for left hand on non-ambi mouse designs
That's it.
Why would you buy this mouse just to cover the holes anyway?
loved my model O and they even RMA'd it for a full refund after almost 2 years just because of a scroll wheel issue. now I got 87 bucks in gift card so this one's a no brainer, customer support is up there with the big guys.
EDIT: GET THE BLACK ONE. don't buy a white peripheral if your hand is gonna be on it all day.
Not everyone has acid hands my white peripherals are all fine
Happened to me 3 times in a span of 8 months, I don't care how good their support is. The product itself is shit.
I've been making a concerted effort to avoid Newegg until they addressed their support issues and it doesn't seem like they have.
i can feel davids excitement drop through the floor
I bought the Model O Wireless White when it first came out and had the same drop issues. Unfortunately I couldn't tell if it was the mouse or Win11 as that was new at the time as well. It did get much better after some time with proper Driver updates. Hopefully it's that simple as well but should not be a thing at this rate.
"That's my...hand stance?"
The word you are looking for is "grip".
Honestly, their products are terrible. I Bought a gmmk pro and every single stab wouldn't move at all. Then I bought a sonnet. Glorious just has decent marketing. That's it.
Well they have qc issues but I have a model d wireless been using it for a long time and it works fine I've had many mice and my model o wireless and model d wireless were pretty good
I got a gmmk 2 and love it, that’s an unfortunate sounding experience though.
And half their marketing is just ripping off an organic community's branding. Like, they couldn't even invent their own name so they just bandwagoned off the PCMR community.
I still use my Model D after 2.5 years. So far no issues
They apparently fixed the stabilizers, but honestly given the price of the dang things, I don't get why they don't just license durock stabs 🤷🏼♀️
I just love how its really a raw unboxing and a fun video by ShortCircuit
Great job linus media team
You guys make enjoyable videos
And knowlegable tooooo.....

Good heavens, that box is gaudy.
Their stuff always feels like a slightly nicer version of the generic tech you find on Amazon. The mouse bungee is actually a good example of that. If they up their QC a little more it's not a bad market, but they could do with a rebrand at the same time. I can't say I'm into the PCMR branding.
They did a rebrand though, last year. They no longer have anything to do with PCMR.
@@JSSmithy why are they still called "glorious" though
@@hey01e5 well i mean the word glorious doesnt really connotate with pcmr. and it was the original brand naming scheme of the products so i highly doubt they would fully rebrand with an entirely different name when their products were known as like the "glorious model d"
I think their keyboard and switches are top-notch but not their mice.
@@hey01e5 because it's a word that anyone should be able to use? You gonna tell me that anyone who says Glorious is referencing PCMR now?
The fact that you're trying out a gaming mouse on a laptop and calling it mid it's fucking crazy, of course is not gonna perform the best on shitty ass laptop
"Our office building with an extremely congested 2.4GHz setup has a 2.4GHz wireless mouse show symptoms of this issue - Bad mouse."

Not that I ever heard of this brand.
8:28 are you not supposed to peel off that yellow sticker?
305 also have drop outs even with a fresh battery
cant complain with the price point. mine last for 3 years now with no issues.
I can't get behind "ambidextrous" mice that still only have side buttons on one side. It's the main reason I only use the G-pro wireless because I can swap the buttons from the left side to the right side as I'm left handed.
Loved the feeling of the mice. Sad thing is the quality is lacking. Scroll wheel breaks after a certain amount of scroll wheel clicks......
LTT mouse reviews are always underwhelming.
It's really a shame especially how they are trying to amp up the "scientific" nature of literally everything except the mouse reviews.
Makes fun of sticker telling him to update drivers, has problems because he didn't update drivers.
Lmao... why??
4:28 : "We have a reminder that we are in 2023, update all your peripherals."
12:38: "After updating drivers..."
I was (and still am) concerned about their QC so I went with a Keychron K2 instead.
there are just better options out there
Do you think the dropouts might occur because of all the RF interference in the LTT building? Since there is so much wireless traffic around your area
It's unlikely that would get fixed with driver updates.
yeah, that is a problem sometimes at lan tournaments when you arent using a logitech, zowie, or razer mouse
G502 LIghtspeed with powerplay mat is still where it's at
Glorious lived long enough to become the Villains
PLEASE STOP PULLING OUT THE CABLE FROM THE WIRE, c'mon david you're better than that
The dropping of connection could be windows problem i have Steelseries mouse and sometimes it also disconnect randomly
A travel case for your mouse? ...why? I mean sure plenty of people bring it with them but they're usually fairly durable
Did you update the firmware? Old firmware could be the issue.
Honest question for those that are not left handed, why buy an ambidextrous mouse instead of one that fits the hand better?
This ^
as someone who has the same question why is so hard to find shaped mice man
When I bought my G300s, it just happened to be ambidextrous - I bought it for the features.
Some people do actually prefer the shape. I mean people also don't buy just ergo mouses.
I’m right handed and have tried both
ambi and right specific mice. The g pro wireless I use now is just so nice to hold I can’t fault it. I’ve got larger hands too
Yeah not sure about that Newegg excellent customer service lol
Right? Was pretty surprised at the sponsorship..
My Model O Wireless sensor died within 2 weeks, then my GMMK Pro died within 1 1/2 years, and finally my Model O Pro has rattle issues so safe to say I'm never getting another product from them. Went back to Razer and am much happier over there
"Register your product" [throws card] "I will not"
is the most relatable thing
why ?
There was a big sticker telling you to update the firmware, you mentioned it as you ripped it off, and then you didn't update the firmware, had bad performance and got pissy about it. Wow.
Why call it 2,4G and Bluetooth? Bluetooth is 2,4GHz as well, just call it BT and proprietary or radio
How can you call a mouse "ambidextrous" when the side buttons are only on one side.
I'd like to see David have a go with his left hand for feel when a company claims it's for Lefties as well.
not keen on how negative the reviewer is right out of the gate
didn't feel like he'd give this mouse a chance regardless of how it performed
Linus really went downhill, what happened to him?
What the heck is with these mice with gunk collection holes in them lately?
I have the original model O wireless and the DPI light stays on when the RGB is off.
I have a glorious model O with no issues. I love the product. Once you go light you don't go back.
My last Glorious devices (keyboard, last gen of this mouse) both died fairly fast, the quality is just not there. Now this looks like more of the same. Nope. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Great editing as always though, so at least the quality on LTT is still tops!
yeah.my gmmk pro hasnt fallen apart, but thats literally because it is a brick. like solid metal
you can keep the rgb on but turn the rgb brightness all the way down and that will turn off the rgb but keep the dpi on im pretty sure.
I had the issue with original model O wireless. It fixed itself after updating mouse software inside the glorious core app
Newegg and excellent customer service. That's not the thing You hear very often together xD
Glorious has fallen so much a company in the last 1.5 years. They let down too many people with shady decision, awful QC and lacking support.
EVERY mouse should be able to handle a puddle of mountain dew.....
i got the Model D and D-. i love them both, but the - is a tad small for my hands.
Having both bluetooth and a 2.4ghz dongle is a godsend and i wish my things had that
I had drop out issues wire the normal o wireless. Had to return it
What mouse pad is that? 😮 It looks fantastic and 2 of those would really complete my desk.. I have been searching for the right look for a while I hope they are available to get somewhere.
I've had my Model O Wireless for almost 2 years now and apart from battery life everything is great.

"Glorious has reached out to us about an update that has been pushed out that should fix the connectivity issues we had!"
based on the fact that EVERY Glorious Mouse so far had wireless issues, im actually cancelling my plans to get a Model i2.

I dont use glorious mice anymore, qc issues everywhere
I’m shocked
Yep...
Bought my Model D a couple years ago, haven't had any issues though that was before the rebranding. Wonder if they had a corporate shakeup type thing when the rebranding happened.
@@startedtech same here, many complaining, i haven't had any issues with mine
I've only bought one product from them but they do seem to developing something of a Razer reputation.
I wonder if he updated it before shooting the csgo part where he was having the dropouts. They may have fixed it in a recent update
im rocking a corded Model D , and i love it.. not a single bad thing to say about it

The energy on this video is so weird.
G303 Shroud and I didn't think I would like it, but it's great.
Mmmmmm, mouse

Glorious used to be a champion with their entry and accessible products at a competitive price for consumers trying to get into enthusiast field. For example, their GMMK built quality and price with their marketing material stating they want to provide a solution for non-groupbuy items.
But now they are slowly turning into a money hungry company just look at the software features of the GMMK Numpad with multiple addons to upsell you and the Series 1 pro mouse groupbuy starting a few days after Model 0 pro mouse groupbuy ended. Big L
Edit: Changed built quality of the GMMK Numpad to software features.
I really wish glorious would make a competitor to the Razer Naga Pro so that I can finally dump it. The clicks have become mushy, but besides that the product is great, I just want something lighter with all the same features.
I would love to see ShortCircuit review Smart Watches and Fitbits!
I had the same issue with a new model o wireless dropping out all the time.. I retuned it and got a Logitech G Pro Wireless instead.
Has Sarah left LMG?
David spending 14 minutes to talk about a mouse makes me miss the they're just movies podcast :(
I'm using the first Glorious Model O wired and I want to stick to it.
