I installed the lower airbox on my 2020 R/T today, 11/6/21. As the car was sitting at idle I lit a match and held it in front of the headlight opening and then blew out the match. At normal idle the intake sucked in the smoke from the match. Note: I did make sure to properly seal the lower opening of the air box and also where the intake tube connects to the headlight. I used some basic window seal stick on foam I bought from the local hardware.
Hey can you include part number for the air intake tube used for install, looks aftermarket not the OEM felt one, asking because I have rhombi illuminated air tube headlights that require a different part which you have. 2019 challenger R/T
Where did you order your air box from? Did the air box come with the tube/funnel? & did the tube/funnel fit the headlight or did you have to use extra material to make it have a flush fit?

But won't that make it suck in a Lot of water when it's raining? and a Lot of dust/dirt when it's dusty or a lot of dirt on the road? That's why they put the air intake away from the wind direction in the first place.
It wont because the air filter is above the tube and we all know the air filters job is to keep debris, dust even some water from entering the intake. There is an opening on the bottom of the box as well where the air also comes through and water can also drain. Plus i dont drive her in the rain and if i was to, unless im driving in the flood its not gonna be enough to flood the engine trust me brother. 😊👍This also comes stock on the hellcat. Hence Hellcat Airbox. It was designed for the cold air flow through the inner turn signal light. 😉

Im about to do the same to my 21 Scat and i had the same questions. I asked on the Challenger Forums and everyone said its no problem at all, one guy even had pictures a freaking BIRD going into the halo lol

@@LouieTactical I too have 2020 1320 And was told it will work. But it really won't add any hp. But if you're looking to keep the engine cooler depending on where you live. I'm in NJ. So we really don't get them 100 degree days around here. But I'll see my. AIT degree when the warmer weather gets back.
