- In this "How-To" video I install a Hellcat Lower Air Intake box, Hellcat Air Filter and AFE Power Intake Tube into my 2018 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack 392. I took Dyno number before and after and you are going to be surprised by the results!

Very surprised at those results as I was under the impression the bone stock 6.4 would not pull more than 700 cfm and therefore not really benefit from an air filter change. I installed the OEM Hellcat setup on my 2021 Challenger 1320 recently because when I drag raced it at the track my intake temps hit 140 degrees. I'm hoping to get that closer to ambient temperatures to minimize power loss on hot track days. If I also get a small power boost from better air flow that will just be icing on the cake. Unfortunately, I won't make it back to the track until September to see if it really helps...
The whole time watching this I kept hearing Tim Allen in the background doing the caveman grunts. 😁 killer ride my friend 🤘🏻
The grunts will be on the blooper reel. 😁🤣 Thank you Sir! Yes, this ride is pretty sweet and I'm looking forward to taking it to the track in the not too distant future. 😉😁👍🤘. Thanks for watching JT!
have you installed a larger throttle body or is the 392's the same size as the hellcats? thanks for the vid adding mine soon!
Where did you get the airbox from? Having trouble finding one
SpeedLogix
Beefing up the cat. Because we all need a little...hp in our lives “That’s what she said” never gets old! 10hp for the investment ain’t bad brother. ✌️
I did this to mine and a mid muffler delete. I have roll raced 2 other scats and I walked away from both. Maybe that’s what it is.
The play in the tube not going to make a difference if sealed or not. The way the tube slides over the smaller piece is all that matters.
Curious why the torque numbers are so low? I thought the 6.4 was 485 hp and 475 torque? HP seems to be close, but low torque.
Where did you get the adhesive foam ?
Nice little upgrade bro. The more air the better👍
Did mine yesterday on my '20 Challenger Scat Pack 1320. Definitely noticed a difference. Absolutely worth the upgrade!
You DID notice a diff? How so?
The tube is higher price then The box it's self ?
In Germany I get the intakebox for 99€, Duct Tube for 59€
Did the car come with The bee 🐝 stock on the seats
I believe the seats are part of an upgrade package (I bought the car used). They are leatherish with the bee sewn in. I installed the Tazer as well so now I have the burning out bee at startup on the dash 😉👍.
Thanks I wish they would have put those in the 1320 package
Nice video 👍
Thank you and thanks for watching...😎👍
Any issues removing the turn signal cap?
Does this mod require a tune? Lol, I'm a Harley guy too, and adding a high flow intake on a bike REQUIRES a tune. As you know you can't tune these cars without f ing up your warranty.
In all my research before doing this mod no one stated they had to do any tuning after the mod. I've been running it for a couple of years now and I haven't had a problem. Totally agree on the bikes though, I want to do a stage 1 or 2 on my Harley but know I'll HAVE to get a tuner if I want it to run right. Hope that helps!
@@IronCrossRacing thank you! I've seen your bike vids. RoadKing, I believe! I'm into those too.🙂
