Nothing better than New England fish fry and lobsters. We got 12 lobsters when we were in York Maine in July for 4.99$ a pound ! Can’t beat that with a stick ! Steamed em up and dipped them in melted salted butter. I ate 3 myself.
Got to do that at least once a year Jordon. I get them same day here from my friend, 2#ers, I ate two! Live it up, Jack Become a Member Of "Cooking With The Blues" www.patreon.com/CookingWithTheBlues
Back in the 70s ,three generations of my family would all go together to a place called Charlie’s in Brant Rock Ma. A tiny yellow joint right on the rocky shore line. Oh the smell of those Fried clams and oysters with the ocean salty air !
A trip here was a rare treat when I was a kid 60-odd years ago. It was a not too often gift from quite less than wealthy parents for hungry for seafood kids. This North Shore area of Massachusetts makes a lovely October drive. It is not nearly as rural as it once was but the area still has its unique smaller town charms, particularly ancient Jacobean architecture museum houses.
PS Try Brown's Lobster Pound in Seabrook, NH. Since 1951. As famous as the Clam Box. Truly. All five kids in my family worked there! Lobster rolls to die for. Although I hate lobster. When one handled lobster meat by the pounds and pounds and pounds and more pounds, well, the allure was soon gone. :)
I've cooked thousands of lobster and chowder and don't eat it much but have a taste for it when I eat out. A good filet and a nice broiled tail, that's for me. Not much money but we sure do eat good Tex! Thanks for sharing your memories. I had family that had a house in Seabrook, too bad it didn't stay in the family! Makes me miss the old days! We used to go camping on the East Coast in Canada, we would dig clams. We fried them up but also simply boiled them. Had feasts! We'd buy scallops and shrimps. Mom would simply dredge them in flour, pan fry them. Thanks for sharing! Take care.
Such a great vid ! It's an honor to have THE Daddy Jack as a guest here in Massachusetts ! Be sure to try The Causeway and Woodman's when you're here. Thanks Jack !
Been to Woodman's, My Dad would always stop at the Village when we were up. That was a great place Tom. How about the Busy Bee? That was another regular stop! Good Memories, Jack Become a Member Of "Cooking With The Blues" www.patreon.com/CookingWithTheBlues

I live where Hood Canal and Puget Sound come within a couple of miles from another. In Mason County Washington. We are seafood addicts by birth. I could eat it every day.

The clam box is the best !!
We love you Chef, RIP in heaven with Jesus!
Myself and most of my family worked there in the 50’s and 60’s. A clam plate was $1.25!
The Clam Box was our favorite stop on the way to or from Crane's Beach or Topsfield Fair! Best ever! Fried clams without bellies? Pfffttt.....! ಠಿ_ಠ
We have some pretty good fried seafood down the coast. But don't look half as good as clam box.
Great video daddy jack gravy brother
