Hey there! Do you like Easter Eggs, Glitches, and Fun Facts in videogames like Terraria, Banjo-Kazooie, Super Smash Bros, and more? If so, then you've come to the right channel! I love finding and sharing small details in video games, which is why I create my Easter Egg videos. 4:30 I love how the dev put the Hotel Mario meme there. In general, the dev is an amzing artist. Every pixel in Pizza Tower is filled with love for games, cartoons and internet memes.
A couple of other Easter Eggs that I can think of.
1. In the level Fast Food Saloon there's a sign that says Space Pinball which is a reference to the scrapped level of the same name. I believe the cardboard cutouts of cowboys in the Vigilante's boss fight are also from Space Pinball.
2. In the pit in front of Pillar John in Crust Cove, you can see Pizza Tower guy but he won't disappear like usual instead he will be asleep.
3. There are quite a few other places where Snick is referenced in the game, such as a milk carton in one of the backgrounds of R-R-Freezerator, a slipper in one of Wasteyard's backgrounds, and a missing poster on Floor 4 of the tower.
4. The Pickle enemies from Gnome Forest and Deep-Dish 9 are based on the Ropers from Memoirs of Magic. They even got their stamp of approval from the original creator, just like Mort!
@@wiggytommy8607 Yeah I think the graffiti of the pickles in Oh Shit! also references this with the MOM tattoo that might stand for Memoirs of Magic, and also might be a typical mom tattoo joke.
5. the breakdance used to be an attack
the cowboy cutouts in vigi’s boss fight are based off of “bob & Bob" from an old animation by mcpig
The missing poster on Floor 4 in particular is a reference to Sonic Generations, where in the level City Escape (Classic Sonic's version in particular, I think), there's missing posters for legacy Sonic characters that hadn't been seen in a very long time up to that point (Mighty the Armadillo, Ray the Flying Squirrel, and I _think_ Fang the Sniper? maybe he had a Wanted poster instead? been a while)
1:01, according to the wiki, the cheeseslime animation can be seen in game in 2 other places, during the intro right before peppino crashes through them, and it's also snotty's default animation during crumbling tower of pizza. while both could technically not be the same thing due to their slight differences, i think it's worthy of note
3:37, the satellite was originally used as a little decoration in the old escape sequence start, where the noise would push a button to start the escape. After the escape sequence started you were able to destroy the satellite.
Another mistake. 4:31, mansion's final iteration was on floor 5.

1:03 That dancing animation for the pep goblin was used in the very early builds and their use case resembles that of the koopa troopas in the New Super Mario games dancing to the song.
I like how every secret hub room all contain something unused/scrapped in the game
Agreed! Its a great way to highlight the development journey in the game itself.
you actually CAN see that cheese slime idle animation in the game, if you make it to the very final level (the crumbling tower of pizza) without killing snotty, you can rescue him, when you stand still, snotty will do that very animation
My favourite easter egg that i've heard no one speak about, is that in both OSTs for peppibot factory, there is the "door stuck! Door stuck!" Meme hidden about 20 seconds in
Actually its not that meme, its another sample, HOWEVER, mr.sauceman, the composer of the song, responder to everyone who said that with a audio of the peppibot factory ost, but with the door stuck meme instead.
Fun fact... in the most viewed pizza tower video is the let's-played entire all bosses and it's pizza time ost that's both video didn't reach a 10 Million

The person behind the game, Mcpig, originally went by PizzaTowerGuy, so the last easter egg is a reference to it.

The title screen jumpscare is definitely a reference to both Five nights at treasure island and Five nights at Wario's. The giant pig in the background looks a lot like the icon of sin from Doom 2.
Good video, if you do a part two on this game, make sure to check out the taunts, some have references and scraped ones have more, including boss 4 having one of the scraped ones
While I was using the infinite laps mod, I went back to the tutorial (I did have the lap 2 portals unlocked) and when I went in, I saw a lap 2 portal entrance. Going through the portal will activate the normal escape sequence instead of the usual tutorial with no score, ranks nor timer, you still can get ranks as I got an A rank. You can try to get a P-rank but the only enemy you can get a combo from is the John Pillar.

@@DPadGamerone of peppino’s unused taunts is him pointing towards some yellow text that reads “PROMOTION” which is a reference to AOSTH
@@DPadGamerthere’s an unused old taunt that had peppino doing the satm eggman promotion pose, it also had the text saying “promotion”.
@@DPadGamer he also has a taunt that of him holding a colleague degree or smth based on the adventures of sonic the hedgehog.
@@DPadGamer oh several of the taunts are references (most relevant to here is the diploma pepino, which comes from a AOStH meme, along with an unused PROMOTION one, and all of Snicks taunts from the Sage demo also being memes from AoStH (the latter all being nods to YTPMV’s (?) Win the Race, Hedgehog Stew, Geteway Submarine and Skydiving)
Pepinos other taunts include references to a frame of Daffy in a “Zoot Suit” that was used in a Jojo meme, Street fighter and Wario Land 4, along with the 3 unused ones: the aforementioned PROMOTION (cut because it couldn’t mirror properly), the Peter Griffin standing pose and the Sonic Adventure pose (the latter of which is referenced in one or two of fake pepino’s super taunts. Other animations in the game also references (such as pepinos full rage walk at a high combo/during the third phase of the final boss, is a reference to a scene in the Simpsons where Moe teaches self defense.

If I remember correctly, the breakdance move Peppino has would've actually been an attack or something in the later demos. I am not good at remembering things though so please correct me or let me know that I am just entirely wrong.

the bacon topping was actually a toppin you could collect in demo 3 in the escape part and diffrent secret walls with points
1:28 its actually used for theplater to groundpound tobreak blocks that are blocking peppino's path. i've only seen this is the pizza tower demo 3 Oregano Desert level.
if you want something obscure, the Ominous sound when you get close to John at the end of every level. there is a theme that plays, if you speed it up really fast it will soon sound like the beat noise from Jet Set Radio/Grind when graffiti is made
Extra fact that for no reason no one found out. The final boss phase 2 is probably inspired to a cuphead boss fight

fun fact: i didnt even know i got the pizza tower guy when trying to prank john gutter. I only saw the teleport sound effect, but i didnt notice the pizza tower guy, pretty cool tho.
other fun fact you didn't mention: when playing the game on pc without full screen, the game's window caption changes depensing on the area you're in, i'll only do the ones affiliated with bosses to keep it simple

Pizza tower guy is actually supposed to be the creator of the game! Pizza Tower Guy was McPig's name before he actually became McPig

heres kind of an easter egg
in the level Crust Cove
theres a hole that you fly over before starting pizza time.
you can actually enter this hole if you do lap 2. and at the bottom of the hole is pizza tower guy sleeping
and he will always be there and never disappear
also my favorite pizza topping is Italian sausage
i might be the odd one out. i knew about mort in 2022, and pizza tower released in 2023
I also wasnt as much of a playstation gamer way back when, so Mort never showed up

Yo, Dpad, in the beta of Don't Make A Sound, it was a boxed-25 rooms level with more pizza toppings chasing you the more you stay, there was a hud that displays how many pizza topping monstrs are in a room. Sadly, I don't remember the video that the level was first shown off, also, in the netrance area of the level, the Whats On The Kids Menu ost would play instead of Tunnelby Shivers ost.
Also, i think the phase 2 background for the Fake Peppino boss fight (specifically, the jumbled letter) might be a reference to Prisencolinensciunalciusol, a song made by Adriano Celentano!

Funnily enough, Brick also has a chance to yodel when collecting big Toppings as Gus and him. It even uses the same exact sound effect (with pitch variation)!
