- Some say this is impossible, But I'm here to prove them otherwise!
You don't need 1,000 different Colors to create art, just ONE is all it takes.
Today I'm treating you with MULTIPLE pieces of art and I hope you will enjoy the different styles, From DC Comics SUPERMAN in a Comic style, to Disney's STITCH in a 'different' style.
I hope to surprise you and inspire you to NOT give this challenge a try, trust me, it was NOT easy!

This was the most requested challenge for a while, I thought it was a joke lol. Thank goodness for "bad" markers 😅 They really came in clutch !

That's the thing with different brands of Markers. The Black is not always straight pitch black. Some have a slight tint to them. Some are a little like dark choc with little amounts of brown, some are like blued steel, with a slight blue undertone, some end up more like a very soft graphite, slightly greyish. So... apply more layers might also change the overall look...

Using fineliners is not technically cheating. They are ink like a marker. I kinda thought you might use crosshatching or stippling to create more using only black. I like your technique and it turned out pretty cool.
I use fine-liners for the outlines mostly.
Your whole demeanor in this video was so fun and you made me laugh with your little pop-up commentary. Nice bonus to the already incredibly impressive artwork.

I passed out markers to the kindergarteners in class to color their castles for Queen and Kind Day (it's the ABCs countdown to end of school for the Ks). One took EVERY black marker, colored their entire castle black, and then put some fire around it and said a dragon torched it. They then grabbed a big sheet of paper and drew a massive all black dragon to go with it. lol It was fantastic. Very out of the box compared to all the rainbow and pink and blue castles.
Your patience and skill is incredible! I would have given up about five minutes in, filled the whole page with black, and boom, video over 😂

Black has become my favourite recently, Though its always been my favourite Marker 'color' for sure!
@@ADCArtAttack I used to try so hard to stray from using it too much in every painting or do every painting dark colors to make everyone else happy but now I just do what i want and the art work turns out fantastic haha

Nice results! Please paint the coloring by number page by adding colors randomly to the numbers. I bet you will have cool results or assign the highest value of the same color to the darkest number till you reach the lightest.

I use a lot of black ink pens in my art, and I NEVER throw pens away until they are completely dry. They're so good for shading and gradients!

Using the white color of the paper is marvelous, its real hard with only black. The undertone of the black matters a lot. like Copic 100 vs 110.
But you have used only the black marker from different brands, really hard.

Now, this was a novel idea. I've seen plenty of artists use monochromatic color schemes, but this is the first time I've ever seen a monochrome palette using 9nly black. Intersecting! Unless one counts charcoal or graphite, of course.

An important question: you're using markers over 10 years now. How stable are the colors of the old artworks? Are they getting lighter, duller, or anything else unwanted over time? How is your experience?
Hey ADC, how are you? :) I remember you got really into gouache for a stretch, and was wondering if you'd considered trying out a price comparison between Arteza and/or Caran d'Ache and/or other brands of gouache? :)
Awesome job! I did this once with a Scrawlrbox (art mystery box) a few years back about a year or two before I started my channel. There were 6 different black markers from DVD pens to sharpies to various other permanent markers (including one that looked like lego). It was hard but they were different enough to get a bit of variety.
So I know he asks for comments about our favorite Marvel characters, yadda yadda, it would be SICK if our man here drew the Juggernaut, my favorite Marvel villain.
Brown is a favorite color, so I'm excited to see how that one goes. HOWEVER, you like torture, I'm an enabler, so I choose for your next project to be white. Please and thank you lol
I tried using all black way before I started RUclips and in order to get lighter color without using grey I turned the page over and let the bleed through from the back become my lighter shade it looked so cool

I am always impressed by your art! I start out just like you said..sure all black, well he could do a illustration and be following the rules but coloring in all black? No that is just not going work. Wrong! LOL Then you ask us to choose White or Brown. Not going to lie, part of me says test him on the white, but brown could cover so many shades that the piece could be just about any style and subject. I'm going to go Brown, but I will raise the ante and ask politely if you can make it look like a old photo as someone else suggested in the comments.

As a black paper artist- try white. It'll be a real challenge for you as a white paper artist.
