RIP John Meadows. I started following you around 2 years ago dueto your peaceful and caring way of showing your followers your workout methods. You were different from the rest with how you seem to care more about giving great details and not worrying about how many followers you had. I've never met you, but I feel like you were a friend. My condolences to your Wife and Boys. Thank you for everything Buddy.
John really is such a true professional and an all around great guy. There sadly aren’t many like him in this industry filled with egos larger than life itself.
I feel sadness as if someone close to me from my family has left. I trust my heart and it has always told me that you are an amazing person. It is a relief to see a training video on RUclips that is completely void of any ego and nonsense, just straight talk from a very humble and professional man. Thank you for your kind words of experience.
Thanks, John, for keeping us sane and healthy through the pandemic. I'm 45 and I've never been stronger since I took up lifting at home. You're an absolute inspiration. Thanks 💪
I see idiots pounding out 8 miles in NYC Marathon. Btw absolute worst thing to do. And then 4-5 reps on barbell curl. What’s point of 200 reps then. All that hormones gushing at 128.😊😊😊
Honestly I am just now learning of his death, and really have only been following his channel for about a year, but I would like to say he has inspired me to push myself to compete in 2023 for my first show. I really appreciate everything I have learned, and am still learning from his channel.
Hands down my favorite body builder. I can attribute a very large amount of my size gains to this mans in depth informational videos. 3 years ago I started at 196, dropped to 173 and am currently at 250
I had a guy make fun of me for using “light weight” on arms. I said well that’s why my arms are bigger than yours. And he said “if that’s what it takes I don’t want big arms” 🤦♂️🤡
Omg mate I got my arms from 14” to 18” Because I was able to swing 32.5kgs for 6 reps but they where tiny!!! So I got my own preacher curl bench and db and only had that so did high reps I never do low now!! My mate said very similar I train to break down tissue not go for a weight as that weightlifting I use perfect form and get my best arms measurement with a 11kg dumbell!! I do strength training with heavy weights on other exercises squats etc but only the method described works for me on arms I have to train them to oblivion!! And if we train he still won’t have it and swings them about so I fee this one

Hi John Love these tips videos. Tried the biceps tips in the garage this afternoon and I really felt I was getting more out of the exercises than usual. Keep them coming! Very best wishes from Cheshire UK. Jim Harrison.
This couldnt have come at a better time! Hitting arms tomorrow. John I want you to know how much I appreciate your calm manner, it seems like everyone on yt is getting louder.
Great advice as always, very well explained and you got the arms to back it, that’s for sure! I’ve found that markers of proper form for me are: experiencing a very isolated feeling in my biceps and then as a result an inability to do higher number of sets without losing strength.
These are excellent. We are affected by ego - that's part of lifting. John reminds us to let that go a bit for stricter form and we will get better results. Simple and effective! John - you are an excellent coach!
I know this doesn't exactly pertain to this video, but doing partials at peak contraction have really been helping my pump! Thanks for all the help with your video's!!!
John you have given out some serious knowledge on your channel an I thank you so much, definitely my favorite on youtube when it comes to pumping💪🦵Those are big azz floaties my friend, you have saved my life with all your great tips, stay safe god bless🤝
SO glad to see you covering the use of proper form for curls!! I sometimes cringe when I see these young guys in the gym! Thank you. I hope more people see this and take note.
@@watsappenin2865 I tried that but it's not always received well. But then, I shouldn't giggle at how they were doing it. You can't be taken seriously with that approach. 😏
I had to re-watch this video 5 times. Every time I started, that bicep-rack (some people call it a squat rack) was hypnotizing me saying "come to me, come do barbell curls inside of me".
The second tip ( the sneaky tip lol ) is a life saver thanks John the bonus tip is great to feel "THE BURN" I started using it by watching your videos months ago
I have been watching many many many fitness RUclipsrs some good some bad for last 1 year, and I've lost about 20 kgs and gained quite a lot of muscle in my 1.5 year fitness journey. But idk why I never watched John, 5 minutes and his first two advices are literally better than 100% of any tips I've ever seen on YT. HIS TIPS ARE SO RELATABLE MAN SO SO GOOD, they hit right on the point no gimmicks nothing just pure education.
I really like#4 the extra squeeze at the end feels good and i am trying to work on my delts also so i will add them with my bar bell curls, hammer curls and see how that feels
John Meadows simplifies the fine details about form and getting the most out of any excercise movement. If their was a RUclips video coach of the year award, he'd get my vote!👍You Da Man John!
I don't have access to dumbells at home, so I've been using a band looped over my thumb or index finger (with the band running over my palm toward my centerline / medial direction) to do supinated 1 hand curls. It seems to help me cue the supination a little better, but I still have been using drag curls to get a really good peak contraction at the top.
Re Tip 2.....Gotta love this 'sneaky' tip John pure Masterclass, yeah hold the dumbell at the inner end, makes so much sense when you point it out, thanks very much mate.
