the reason for cutting the video to when he solves it is so that we dont have to sit through an hour of him trying to figure out the stage
that piston decoy thing is called the "translocation feature" and it used to be considered a glitch but mojang confirmed it was a feature not a glitch, i think it was created in 1.10 and is the new best way for elevators and stuff...just youtube "translocation feature"
It really surprises me how many youtubers who play this game for a living, didn't know about the piston translocation bug.
Most Minecraft are not into the teacunal side of Minecraft and this shows by how many subs most of them have, I don't know one with 2 million subs.

15:26 it's a sticky piston, normally there won't be possible to place a block where the cobble is since the diamond block is in that spot when contracted and the piston would cover it when extended.

You do realize we have so many more diamonds than what most people think, the governments hold some so the value of diamonds is high

10:00 That's called Piston Translocation, and I think it was discovered by Etho.
The glitch with the piston pulling you behind it uses the same "glitch" (I believe they've left it in intentionally) as recent (fairly compact) piston elevators.
Today was a terrible day so this is making me feel happier.
With the piston teleportation thing you can make really cheap elevators

the piston with the diamond block WAS a glitch, it was a sticky piston pushing and pulling the diamond block so fast, the diamomd block can't keep up, so another block could be placed in between the gap. Then the new block couldn't keep up, so there was a gap to place another block, so the process could repeat at least 12 times as pistons can only move up to 12 blocks.

just to let you know, the piston glitch lets you build a bridge that is longer than the allowed length it should be able to push
10:00 Thats the 1.9 Piston translocation bug, its good for elevators. Something like pistons turn invisible or into entities so you can go through them. I'm sure someone has a better idea as to how it works

in the first room you were supposed to stand infront of the piston, and turn it on and off, this would have put you in the piston and pull you trough AKA the piston translocation glitch

If it was, Jardon would probably also know about pistons pulling entities. Also, is that a glitch, unintended feature, or just a feature from 1.9?
The piston thing is not a glitch, its confirmed by mojang that enteties can be moved by pistons, therefor when you get moved, you get moved to the other side because they dont like you being inside blocks.

the mining one you have to push the TNT into your face and you can see underground

Well, you were meant to go in the obsidian space and push the tnt into yourself so you could see through the world and locate where the exit was and then mine it up... but.... you know XD
