The Crystal Light brings the core experience of the Crystal at a much more affordable price, as well as a lighter package. The Crystal Light needs no battery, as the power supply is directly brought through the DisplayPort cable. The headset and controllers are tracked with built-in 6DOF inside-out tracking, so you don't need to buy any base stations. It's a pure PCVR headset, and a simplified user experience.

Thanks for this.. will buy with controllers, but without Lighthouse faceplate, you cannot lean forward, backwards or left and right? So should we buy Headset with Lighthouse faceplate?
This time you won't have any controllers.. So we must buy Pimax Crystal Controller for extra 159$
Once you buy Headset with Lighthouse faceplate, then do you need SteamVR base stations?
@@mehmet_mesud unless you came from like a Index I would not worry about any faceplates, just get the controllers if you need them
@@mehmet_mesud .. Is this true, that you cannot lean forward, back, left or right? The headset can't handle that??? I'm looking to buy, but that's a deal breaker.. I fly flight sims and my head all over the place. This cannot be true?? Please clarify!..
how can I complete the room setting part without the controllers?
why do i keep losing tracking in a well lit room with QR codes on the walls... when im driving i always lose tracking at least once a night , if i cover 1 camera it will snap back into place but it is very distracting in VR... Almost feels like the world gets laggy until the tracking is regained... i summitted a ticket just now

The video is perfect, viewing the setup through the lense would've been nice maybe. I know this is just a guide, but more transparency about the shipping status of different products and batches would be nice

@@adrenalinejunkie3828 well it doesn't matter if Crystal Light is just Crystal "minus XYZ" there's still ways for them to mess up. I want to see the real finished product in someone's hands, and get a genuine non-biased opinion from somebody who isn't associated with Pimax, before I buy the product. The fact that they are already accepting pre-order payments and supposedly sending them out very soon, when we still haven't seen a single review, is concerning.

I love the work you guys are doing for the Dedicated PCVR Space and for a very respectable price (I'd genuinely argue that this headset is better value than my 500 USD Quest 3 [+ x2 swappable batteries, facial interface and headstrap upgrades for another 100 USD to make it ACTUALLY USABLE! @@] for 700-900 USD IF YOU ONLY CARE ABOUT PCVR like I do + all those far superior specs with no bitrate compression excite me for how amazing Virtual Reality will look!) so thank you!
I cannot wait to get my hands on a Pimax Crystal Light (the base station faceplate with local dimming version for my preferences and use cases).
Finally, an affordable very good high-end Dedicated PCVR Headset and truly worthy upgrade in pretty much every way compared to legendary, but now painfully outdated, headsets like the Valve Index from 5+ years ago.
I'm personally looking forward to seeing how this compares to the Index, Quest 3 and Quest Pro!
I'm glad I won't have to compromise between Dedicated PCVR, Displayport, Base Station Tracking and Mic + Audio Quality (DMAS Speakers supposedly match the Sound Quality of the Index's Speakers so I'll also be getting those) or between Amazing Lenses and Far better Resolution! :)

I was gonna buy the DPVR E4 but I heard about the crystal light on a guys RUclips channel. Pimax Lights probably going to be so much better therefore I’m probably buying this instead of the DPVR
It would be great if you could answer the questions on your website's chat. Some of us ordered the headset just a few hours after the presentation, and we're still waiting for updates. A friend of mine who ordered the Local Dimming version received a response saying, "We will start with the shipment in the next 5-7 weeks." That's not by the end of May. It's really disappointing how the communication with customers is being handled...

So you're basically saying that people who want the larger FoV lenses, and or people who need prescription lenses are SoL?
You should also provide the swap-ability of the lenses for this Crystal SKU as well.

anyone know what the hand tracking is like on this kit? ive got the quest 2 and i was wondering if the controller finger tracking on that is similar to the Pimax set. or is it just you press the buttons and the fingers grip completely
I couldn't even complete my payment for the light I pre-ordered because the link they sent me to pay just took me to the Pimax homepage, there was nowhere on the website to pay so I sadly I had to cancel 🤷♂️

I want to know if the lenses are going to start fogging because you took the fans out I used to have a Samsung Odyssey and I would have bad fogging on my lenses because it would get hot in there
Is Pimax Crystal Light lenses the same like Pimax Crystal? Can I use Prescription Lenses I ordered online for normal Primax Crystal and they will fit and hold on this device?

Not at this time. I'll stick with my 8kx for now. The reduction in fov why. When Crystal First launched they did say sim racers might not be up for the reduction. While some do love all the bright lights and colours. It matters not on the virtual track for me. Tbh the big fov is why I'm a customer. The reduction definitely makes me wanna stick with 8kx and buy more sim racing stuff instead. Even non pimax headsets. Should they wanna make a sim racing crystal with increased fov, im up for that.

I would rather buy a Quest 3.
Selling it at such a high price without the XR-2 chip is a scam.
Made in China, there are serious issues with quality and after-sales service.
Before you land 1700, 700, or 7 EUR/$ think three times!!!!!
Ok. Enough is enough. Purchased DMAS from Pimax. Left one came faulty. Ticket opened. Video uploaded. After more than month and a half, replacement has not been delivered. Today, they closed the ticket, without resolution!
Unit returned to the reseller!!!

You forgot Pimax crystal super, Pimax 12k Qled, Pimax portal, pimax portal Qled... All of this between 2020 and 2025. It's too much for a small company like pimax.

i get that its a small company but man that's expensive for what it offers. if it was wireless with some internals i'd be like hell yeah $700 but it literally offers less than the quest3 and is more expensive. it's not even wireless.
