    The T3 blow dry brush has a removable head so you can use the round brush attachment or the paddle brush one. I always use the barrel spout without a brush attachment to get the wetness out of my roots, then go in with the brush attachment.
    I’m super happy with it.
    By the way, I used your haircut tutorial this weekend to trim up my length. The technique worked very well with my thick hair.

      @@mariyam9never hold curls, there is a spray for your hair that leaves curls BUT makes it thicker. Oily scalp, avoid using oils and make it natural. Lost color, stress, chemical hair treatments, heat styling, genetics, aging, medical conditions and illness or even pregnancy causes this. This, at its root, (no pun intended) is just doing your hair properly. Why do we have to label her doing her hair, caring for herself, and giving advice as "feminine"?
      I'm being deadass... I feel that we have to stop this kind of thing. But to each their own.

      @cynsational7225 Год назад +40

      @@KnijMagz Hello internet stranger, I didn't mean this in any offensive or harmful way. I was more complaining because I feel as if it is expected of women to be "feminine" which takes more time, money and energy to do. Although this can be perceived as doing her hair properly, this isn't a typical hairstyle that you can wake up and get it done quickly in the morning before work. This takes work, as well as other "feminine" beauty standards. I also used this term because in the queer community there is a dichotomy between feminine and masculine women. I fall within the more feminine side.
      I hope I've explained myself enough :) have a great day!

    I love my Revlon too. The only thing Revlon could do to improve it is make the bristles a bit less damaging to the hair. I don’t think they really cause a lot of damage or my hair but maybe a teensy bit.

    • @Rachelmckeown
      @Rachelmckeown  Год назад +32

      Oh no way! I haven’t noticed any damage I don’t think 🤔 are you using heat protection? Also it’s best to make sure your hair is completely set angled before you start and rough drying with a regular hair dryer first so that it’s about 80% dry really helps with breakage

    i have 2 other questions:
    how do you get your hair to stay the same when you’re showering but not washing your hair or sleeping?
    does the revlon brush damage your hair? it probably doesnt since you might not do it everyday

    Rachel have you tried the Revlon Otep One Volumizer Plus? It’s perfect for what you did in this vid. I do my hair pretty much the way you do, but I find that new step one brush better than the original revlon brush (this one you’re using) even though I love the OG revlon brush, it was a game changer to me. The difference is the the step one plus is thinner and actually rounded, not square-ish like the OG one. So it’s perfect for that bouncy blowout look even more than the OG, look it up ;)

    I use this hair dryer, also. I generally use it on a section of hair until it is almost dry and never until it is overly hot. I use the cool setting to continue drying and cooling down and setting the section. Inotice how my hair cuticle closes and smooths using the cool setting. I think it is easier than using a round brush plus a hair dryer and maybe a bit faster.

    These results are stunning, BUT I have to say.. I used this brush for about 4 months (on 80% dried hair + heat protection!), and it absolutely destroyed my hair. I’ve spoken to 3 stylists about the damage, and they all had the same response “Are you using the Revlon round brush?” 😭 They all said they had several clients with significantly damaged hair because of it. My advice is to find a round brush styler that has a controlled temp!! This one just gets way too hot.

    1. Are you drying on high or low heat?
    2. Once you’ve got the section dried to your satisfaction, do you shut the heat off completely? Lower it? Go to cool mode?
    Seeeems like you turn it off and let the section sit in the brush?

      hi this is just my opinion,
      idk what she does! but
      1) i think it might depend on ur hair’s thickness but i have quite thick hair and i prefer the lower heat setting (it gets super hot regardless!)
      2) i think just shut it off. there’s no point going over to the cool setting because it’d take wayyyyy too long for that hot air coming out to start getting colder. Ignore the cool setting to “set” ur style in place, you’ll avoid heat damage more.
      3)yes that’s what it looks like from the vid too

    This is such a helpful video - you have the hair of my dreams!
    I just have one question, I know you mentioned that you dry your roots all the way before using the revlon brush. Do you ever re-dampen the rest of your hair as you're going through? I find that if my first sections are in that perfect almost dry phase, by the time I get to my last sections, they are pretty dry - should I spritz them with water, or is it fine to style them when they are a bit more dry?

    • @Rachelmckeown
      @Rachelmckeown  Год назад +1

      personally I’ve never needed to do that on my own hair, I think my hair retains a lot of moisture and normally takes ages to air dry but I’ve definitely done this on clients before! Another good tip to avoid this is to twist the hair you’re not working on and clip it in a bun while you’re drying the rest of your hair. This helps it to stay a bit damper 😊

    Please help me!!! I have similar hair with 1 layer. Same langth and all. But mine is super soft. So soft it won't hold anything. I wash it every night just because of the greec but it is very healthy. I pute in hot curlers and let them sit for an hour then let them out before I walk out the door. After about an hour or two its all out. But I also love touching my hair so that could be a problem. You also mentioned something about to much moisture. I dont have super thick or thin hair but I do condition it every night and rinse very well. Then I pute in leave in conditioner before bed and sleep on it wet.
    Id apritiate tips. I love the 90s blowout but maybe its not meant to be. Maybe I can atliest get the courten bangs to work. Thx for the tutorial, your fun to listen to !!!

      Thanks again!

    I really want to buy that blow dry brush! Btw do you use heat in your hair every time after you wash your hair? I always air dry mine but it always ends up looking bad so I wanna try a blow dry brush

      Yeah I use a blow dryer or blow dry brush every time I wash my hair which is about twice a week. I avoid using straighteners and curling wants because of the direct heat on my hair :)

    What shampoo do you use to keep your cool blonde the colour it is?

    I cannot get the removal part down by twisting the brush. My hair always gets really tangled into it. 😭 I am so useless with my hair. I just wanted to do an easy blowout because I can’t do it with a blow dryer and round brush in each hand. Does it not work for thick, coarse Asian hair…?
