Thank you very much for the review. I am new to photography so all these concepts are foreign to me, but I watched it twice and completely understood! You have a nice unimposing way of teaching, thank you! Look forward to more videos, especially for beginners like me heh. :)
yes make the touchscreen interface better, but going away with physical buttons is not a good idea imo, smudges on a display are never good and often you can change settings quicker just with a toggle button without even thinking about it
damn i just bought the feelworld lut6 which is good but i really need that camera control. buying your lut pack as i type looking forward to testing it out
This review says it's an okay monitor. I think this and the Godox 7" are the best monitors in this price range for a bunch of reasons. Its daylight viewable, it can run off usb-c power, picture quality is top shelf, no fan noise, and importantly the menu system is soooo easy which a lot of other monitors I've had are too difficult to get to where you want to go. Ease of use menu is huge in monitors of this class. That alone should be the selling point . And why slam the scroll wheel? Use the touchscreen instead. You don't have to use it but if you're in the cold weather and wearing gloves this monitor covers you. Why these aren't more popular I don't know. Ive tried all the other brands and this one has it all. And no I'm not a Godox bot. This review was done a year ago and I just discovered these monitors. The price has dropped on them. Sold all my others and went all in on these.
Hey Todd. Thank you so much for the review. I am very new to monitors and had a quick question. Can we use touch to focus / touch tracking through the monitor? i wanted to pick one of these up for wedding films and wanted to know if we can use touch to focus / touch tracking on the monitor as we normally would on the camera screen. Thank you so much!!
It depends on the camera brand. Canon doesn’t work that way, but I think Sony does. Might want to check with Godox or other monitor manufacturers to see if your camera is supported.
The Record button on my GM6S doesn’t work on my R5, remote control is enabled and I cannot for the life of my figure out why it’s not working? Any ideas? All the other controls work
2000 nits is not almost twice as bright as a 1200 nit monitor. Its not a linear scale. All human senses are logarithmic. 1000 Nits would look about twice as bright as 250 Nits
@@sebastian_barr Can I tell you something if you promise to keep it between us? I don't even know why I asked the question, I don't have any anamorphic lens and don't plan to, maybe I just asked to be like "this is clearly for amateurs, not for me, I'm too good of a filmmaker to buy such a cheap thing".
@@sebastian_barr lol so true. - so I want to make vlogs and I'm hesitating between 2 cameras. - really? What is it? Like the Sony zve10? - get out of here you peasant! I was thinking of an IMAX or a Panavision.
No body needs more monitors. Stop pimping these. For $300 we should get a solid monitor and a recorder. Talking about these "features" as if it's a game changer.

@Todd where did you purchase the camera cable, I have not found one in stock anywhere
All these small camera monitors are absurdly expensive for what they are.

Can it be turned & show camera images in their actual vertical/portrait orientation as shot?
hi kann man mit dem Godox GM6S mit einem Kabel auch die Sony ZV E 10 bedienen ...?LG

does it have 9:16 on the marker mat?
5 min in and I gave up and looked to see price online to see this isn’t the china screen for me. Ouch. $330
Can to touch to focus?
I don't like wires sticking out the sides, look messy and makes for knocking and breaking.
Should be magnetic on the back laid flat
Nice
Does it have anamorphic desqueezing?
Just got the 7 inch version, and it does not 😢 …ya know, for all those anamorphic lenses I don’t have 😂
