    I was on statins since 1993, after having a heart attack. Between the statins and other meds, I felt like crap all the time. 2 1/2 years ago I get on the keto diet and stopped taking the statins, blood pressure meds, and arthritis meds. I lost 44# and even now eat only one meal a day and feel so much better.

      I just started taking astaxanthin and after a bit of a rough break-in period, I feel better. About one month before that i started taking vitamin E tocotrienols from Dr. Barrie Tan's research on Annatto. I take cod liver oil and krill oil too and I was wondering whether I should go back on ubiquinol. Dr. Tan says that the vitamin E plus his associated supplement, GG, helps the liver make enough Co Q-10, unless you're on stains, which damage the liver so that it can't make it. But if Dr. Ken is right then all the blood pressure meds do the same thing.

    You’re a real treasure Dr Berry. I had a 90% blockage of 1 artery resulting in a silent heart attack 9 months ago. The rest of my heart is fine with mild-moderate plaguing, at 70 yrs of age. Mild localized heart muscle damage but no permanent issues at all. When iwas on the table I was asked if I agreed to take all prescribed meds for 1 year by the technician. I knew if I said no, they would not place the stent! So I had a stent placed and the cardiologist put me on MASSIVE doses of statins, beta blockers, water pills, ARB’s and anti platelets. I thought I had turned 105 within 2 weeks of taking all that crap!!! I did research on RUclips from docs like yourself and talked to my pharmacist. I asked why on earth was I prescribed these massive amounts of drugs and she played dumb. I immediately stopped taking the statin, went to my doctor and got all except the anti platelet reduced significantly. At 3 months I had a chat the cardiologist and he dropped everything down to a bare fraction of the original prescription. You have to be respectful and know your stuff so as not to be labelled ‘non compliant’. Anyway, I’m at 9 months post stent and I’m going to see about weaning off most of the rest of these drugs now. I’m thankful for the fact they saved my life but also grateful to be aware enough to not get sucked into the Big Pharma pipeline of hell and sickness from a lifetime of these drugs they tell you you have to take. Thank you for all you do. God bless!

Also, doctors like Dr Berry are ignoring the diseases which are caused or worsened by harmful genetic mutations. Excellent video, as usual, by Dr. Berry. Interestingly enough, I've been taking CoQ10 supplement all along, without realizing how important it is based on two of the medications from his list that I take on a regular basis: Metformin & Simvastatin. Each of these are very low doses, so I suspect the combination of what I derive from my food + a 100mg CoQ10 gel cap is sufficient, but based on what Dr. Berry advises, I'm upping it to two capsules per day from here on out, just to play it safe.

    • @heleneikerenkotter2950
      @heleneikerenkotter2950 2 года назад +9

      CoQ10 is made by our body in the liver. With age and multiple medications it is depleted. The one medication that blocks the production of CoQ 10 from being made by the liver are the statin drugs. The majority of physicians writing prescriptions for cholesterol drugs never tell their patients to take this supplement with this medication The absence of CoQ10 is detrimental to the heart which requires this for energy. So you would be wise to take at least 200 mgm of the CoQ10 if you are taking a statin. Heart failure is an energy starved heart . These are words that come from “Metabolic Cardiology “ by Dr. Stephen Sinatra, Cardiologist. He has a chapter in his book on the importance of CoQ10.

    Dr. Berry, thanks for sharing this video with us. I had an Open Heart Triple Bypass Surgery in May of last year. In April, my pre-surgery BNP was at 109 pg/ml! ( Normal range is below 100 pg/ml. ) In June, my post-surgery BNP went up to 228 pg/ml!! In December, my BNP went all the way up to 373 pg/ml!!! You would think that having heart surgery would make one's heart pump better afterwards.
    In all of this time, my cardiologist increased my Metoprolol from 25 mg, to 37 mg, to 50 mg, then to 75 mg! I got progressively dizzier with each increase as well as suffered from facial Edema. I had him cut it down to 50 mg which seems tolerable to me! I was also prescribed Lisinopril 20 mg twice per day. I also have to take Rosuvastatin 10 mg each day. As well as daily doses of Aspirin 81 mg, Ezetimibe 10mg and Digoxin 125 mcg.
    I've cut down my Lisinopril to once per day after watching this video.
    As a safety measure, I have adopted Dr. Sinatra's Heart Health supplement regimen. Which consists of high doses of CoQ-10, L-Carnitine, D-Ribose, Magnesium and Krill Oil. I seem to feel better with more energy and more stamina. But I won't know for certain until after I get my next Echocardiogram and Lab Works done which are temporarily postponed because my union trust fund mistakenly terminated my Core COBRA insurance coverage! I'm fighting them over it and am seriously considering getting a lawyer!

      I was on Metoperol and it gave me bad dreams and one night I fell out of bed due to having a disturbed sleep with this drug. This fall put me in hospital. When I came out I told my doctor to cut this crappy drug off my prescription list. Only took it for three months. Never again.

    WOW! What a valuable instructional video on CoQ-10! I do take the Rx's, and have taken CoQ-10 supplements for years, but not as religiously as your video suggests...but I will now! THANK YOU!

    Thank you so much for doing all these videos regarding our health, I cannot express how much I appreciate you doing this and I enjoy watching every video that you put out. I only take one prescription but I thought I heard something about CoQ10 helping with dementia and Alzheimer’s. What is your thought on that?

    My late father was on 4 of these prescription meds when his heart quit. Neither one of his doctors ever mentioned taking CoQ10 ! Maybe Bigpharma should show Drs this video so they don’t kill their best customers 😢

      …. First BigPharma will tell about CoQ10… Next they will tell about poison statins… What next? Next BigPharma will explain to everyone that low carb diet with IF and low intensity exercise helps way better than pills in preventing strokes and heart attacks?!!… Don’t be naive!

      its not in their protocol. we used to learn ourselves from the old people about nutrition n health but the slogan/propaganda phrase " go to the doctor for any health issue" made all lost in the track n field of life.

    Dr. Berry, The only ACE Inhibitor you have on the list is enalapril, but in your video you used the plural "ACE Inhibitors." Are there other ACE Inhibitors (like Benazepril) that lower Ubiquinone levels?

The ones I'm taking are carvedilol, rosuvastatin and brillinta and baby aspirin....just got done watching your CoQ10 video and realize that I need more of it! They didn't even tellme about that part...hmmmmm. Thanks for the video and keep 'em coming! 👍
