Eklavya was the greatest archer of all. Barbarika the greatest warrior of all, was made to give it all and could not take part in the war.
Arjuna was certainly not on the right side of dharma,Draupadi beings the case in point. Krishna,chose Arjuna and that is all about it.
Bhisma was the geatest of archers among all of them.

To be specific, Arjuna was devastated that he would have to kill his dear and near to regain the material things. His attachment to his dear and near made him swerve away from his duty(swadharma) as a warrior. He wanted to take up sannyasa(para dharma)which was not fit for him
It was at this point that Lord Krishna provided him with the necessary instructions(Srimad Bhagavad Gita) which helped him regain clarity. Liberation is possible only by following one's duty without desire for the result of the action(nishkama karma).

The best advice from Krishna to Arjun was - "Karm kar, phar ki chinta maat kar". Which means you do your job and don't worry about the reward and that's so relatable in life.
Many people just give up and stop working once they think it's hopeless. But if you don't work then it's going to turn like that. But if you keep on working no matter how you think it's pointless, there is some chances that your hardwork might save you in the end.
There are so many good advices mentioned in Bhagawat Gita that can help you. It doesn't matter if you believe in the Gita or not but you should try and learn from all the good advices mentioned in it.

I my opinion I love Arjuna and karna equally. The only reason I can keep Karna eaqual to Arjuna is because when Kundi came to ask him change side, he can state his stand by his friend who gave him respect when the whole world despised him for born as a son of a chariot driver. And his might is much good than Arjuna as karna can push Arjun's chariot two to four feet, when Krishna who is the representative of whole universe is driving it and Hanuman, the vayuputra is moving it forward by staying in the flag. Also, don't forget how he got killed. Only when he was not armed and was releasing his chariot from mud. Yes he was wrong when he did everything in favour of duryodhana and his own hatred. But that shouldn't be the reason to not recognise his might and values @@rajborah4840
