His music will never age. Because there is nothing to master here. There is no technique, there are no excuses. He is an artist, a performer and an icon, not just from the 80s. Lynch, de martini and others were defined by their bands. True their playing style was very recognizable but Jake is a titan. He is like a lone, undisputed gunslinger. He may have wanted to be part of bigger bands, whatever has happened, it was the best for him and he knows it too. 😅

Beautiful to hear Jake E Lee again. First thing that grabbed my attention is the riff. It was unpredictable and took me on a journey. Jake paints an interesting musical landscape with his playing The band sounds great. Nice to see a band present something fresh as opposed to repeating past glories. Jake evokes the spirit of Jimi Hendrix who always searched for new ways to express.
@@hogfan70 Actually Jake told me when I met him that he rippped the riff idea off of Chinatown by Thin Lizzy. If you listen to that song you'll hear it. BUT...Hole in the Sky is definitely in there too. cheers man

Had the opportunity to hang with these guys opening night in Reno. What a phenomenal experience. I’ve seen hundreds of bands but never have I experienced such a wonderful group of people. I can’t say enough good things about these guys. Sooooo cool.
I was fortunate enough to be in the barn while RDC was filming this video earlier this year. It MIGHT have been 20 degrees in there but we all had a blast. So stoked that everyone else gets to hear this track now. November can't get here soon enough!
Now THIS is a breath of fresh air! At first I was waiting to hear a more thunderous build up after the opening riff but then I saw what Mr. Lee was doing here and appreciated it even more. He stayed true to the song and the vibe. He doesn't need to play for my approval or anyone else's. He knows what he's doing. Can't wait to hear more.
He sounds like Vivian Campbell when Viv was having a really good day - tight playing, wicked tone, bluesy and the twisted modal variations. Something's up. Jake is inspired,. I like this.

Jake’s playing is so unique yet retro. He has roots, but doesn’t sound exactly like them. In the 80’s, so many bands chugged away and the solo was the flash of talent. The greats are also kickass riff writers and groovers: Hendrix, Van Halen, Page, Rhoads.... The way they interweave lead and rhythm defines greatness. Jake has that greatness as well. Just listening to the guy closely can make you a better player!

Solid Album. Don't overthink it. It is what it should be, gritty/not to polished production..riff driven hard rock. I love it. Jakes doin' what he does best.
Not everyone will notice the quick 1/2 step bend that only happens on the third repeat of the riff but everyone will fucking FEEL it. THAT is playing with feel.
Still not sold on the vocalist, but damned if Jake's licks don't still have the ability to just grab my attention, and hold it enthralled to the very end. One of my absolute favorite guitar players of all time!
How I feel about Jake goes without saying. ;) I respect and find it commendable, to see EVERYONE giving their all, and putting forth their best effort to make RDC be the best it can be. Give it your all, always. And things will land where they should. Love you.
