We should only keep animals in captivity if they are injured or recued and can't go back to the wild. Even then they should only be trained for mental stimulation and kept in humane enclosures
Non-human animals break down from stress just like us. There was the sweetest female elephant that was taken from the wild and was forced to perform in the circus who broke loose and accidentally killed some people. Her legs and ankles were so scarred from being marred with the hook. She had put up with it for 40 to 50 years! They remember their families picture perfect and actually go and stand where they died like a funeral and they visit their grave or their bones were they lay. Unfortunately she was shot. I cried so hard because she could have been calm down and been taken to a refuge. What she did was not intentional oh, it was pure panic.
Honestly, they had no rights to even shoot her, you think animals follow law or even signed a contract to get tortured...no! You were not supposed to even play with wild animals, especially in circuses without being prepared for the consequences.

That was 100% self defense on the dolphin's part. His/Her position was like being in prison while having no reason to be locked up there. If you want to keep dolphins atleast give them some area to swim and don't force them so badly with threats upon their life. And atleast show them some love and care and give them a feeling of safety. Remember that animals have the religious rights to fight against abuse by humans!
If this isn't a clear clue of a dolphin NOT WANTING TO PERFORM i don't know what is....Stop catching these beautiful animals and taking them from their families just for monetary gain...I will never ever attend any show like this because its just way to sad to watch..
Humans don't like to be in cages, so don't put wild animals in enclosures!!
A big regret was taking my kids to seaworld before movie blackfish came out once I saw that I felt so bad for going there and enjoying it… so much guilt 😢
