I’m 32 type 1 diabetic. I first got to swim with dolphins in 2012 in the Bahamas. A mother had just recently given birth. I have learn a few teaching tricks. For instance, a new born was being trained in Jamaica. They were having trouble to get the new born to jump. I am a firm believer (as much as a say I love them) the newborns must breach on their own. That help build the muscles to help them survive. A full grown female can swim at 30 mph. For some reason I attract animals like the plague. I took the behind the scenes tour at Sea World the trainer have a bucket of fish and they were training a new dolphin that had beached itself. A lot of people don’t know it but All Marine mammals like dolphins and Whales, beach themselves and commit suicide. Okay so she opened the pin to where there were 3 sea lions lock in a pin and they too had to be “walked” well she had the fish bucket as bait to help the animals stay with her, they all 3 pups and the dolphin fallow me. Dolphins are a lot like dogs in this aspect. I love both, I help the calf gain strength in her tail to propel her as high as she could go. They let me do this because I had worked with them many times before and I new that momma was not going to be pleased. So, just any other mom on the first date, I met her and showed her I was no threat. Then it happened, the mom introduced me to her baby calf. I swam a couple laps with the two of them to make sure they trusted me and two, the calf would like a partner to swim with. They use targets and food to train a lot. So I asked for what I needed along with a target. I gave mom a task and she did it, after 3 tries. The calf was jumping. They asked me how I did it. I told them, “remember when you were a kid and you had your tricks to get a cookie. As I was teaching the calf the mother and father were both crazy about me. I had to say good bye, but I taught a biology teacher they were mammals, breathe oxygen, give live birth, nurse their young, and have hair. @@lpscockerspaniel1082 You don't understand how much research I've been doing over the last 4 to 5 years maybe don't jump to conclusions before you comment
Here are common sense reasons how we know that aquariums and zoos take care of their animals: Why would they animals look so happy? Wouldn’t they be scared or frightened? If we didn’t have aquariums and zoos, kids wouldn’t hardly be able to have a good experience with them. The dolphins were already intelligent, and the trainers wanted to help more. If they didn’t feed them right, wouldn’t they already be dead? You can’t say that animals are abused just because you saw on the internet because the internet lies a lot. So guys, please don’t spoil kids dreams. It’s my dream to become dolphin trainer in the Atlanta Georgia aquarium. If any of you want to be too, we might meet each other. Remember my name...Asia
@@4Dolphinity Sadly, however, the boomer-ass people at World Animal "Protection" want to ruin your dream. Lets hate on them here because they think they can lie to us that aquariums lie to us about their animals, when this video makes me realize, no, these aquariums take amazing care of their animals.
@@MathewBlanco-ur4yf ok man, u responding to a comment I made 2 years ago. Thanks for dredging up the cringe, and creating more with your comment. Yes, I know it isn't their natural habitat. But no, dolphins arguably don't deserve to be in a big blue ocean-they bump pufferfishes to get high, torture each other, kill their young just to mate with the widow, and so, so many more things that would instantly change that perception. Go watch Casual Geographic and see what I mean. Of course these animals should preferably be in the ocean, but it's impossible to return these ones to the wild-they simply can't learn the skills necessary.
People don't get it these places are not okay for animals do the research in the research will show that they become psychotic did you know that back then Dolphins at places like this actually get torn apart from the rest of their family boats will heard them into coves with sound and many died in this process and then they sort them out from young male and female and then places like swim with dolphins programs I think SeaWorld it to I don't know if Georgia aquarium did it but maybe they did would take out the prettiest Dolphins no cuts on their fins or anything like that and then they'd leave and then the rest of those Dolphins would get killed it's straight-up facts
-Orkid Marvles- they don’t just get random dolphins... these dolphins were rescued and unable to release. If they released them or never rescued them they would have died.
People might think they are like seaworld *BUT NA AH* they are *BETTER* they don't force them *THEY TAKE CARE OF THEM especially THEY DON'T STARVE THEM*

But anyways I love this aquarium
you need to pass a departmental swim test (according to the website) so if you want to, try training. I want to be a trainer and I'm a great swimmer you've just gotta train! Best of luck💛
Do some research you will find that the dolphins in almost all accredited facilities didn't come from drive hunts. It's all the shitty aquariums in Russia and china so leave good places like these alone
@@narcotic-uy8qj yes i agree people should do research and questions and example is that a beluga whale calf that was rehabilitated in the cook inlet off Alaska that is not releasable and 4 Sea Lion pups that the Georgia Aquarium brought in because they were not releasable. Please comment on what you think.
LISTEN, most dolphins in aquariums are rescue dolphins! This is my dream and passion, they are not in any harm. TRUST ME, I study dolphins every day for fun, I look at medical records and watch every video there is on their health and safty, I hope you never touch a dolphin because they deserve nothing but love and kindness, which aquariums give them. Everytime I see a comment like this I wonder, why are you watching this IF just to hate. They are in good hands and within the next 10 years, some dolphins will be in my gentle hands caring for them with my life.
Aren’t these dolphins suppose to be in their natural habitat instead of doing tricks? It’s a shame to profit from these animals. If a person has an interest to see a wild animal go see them in the wild.
This is not seaworld, these guys don't abuse them.they treat them like beloved puppies.Go visit a dolphin show, and you'll get as much water splashed on you,you will know you deserved it. Yet again,THEY ARENT ABUSED AT GA!💛
You guys must leave these amazing animals alone, let them be, they were made to live in the wild/ ocean, stop keeping them in captivity, I am sick and tired of you guys interfering with their lives, if they need rescuing or medical attention, we can assist them but release them afterwards, just let them be sea world, or rather pool world, because the ocean is the actual sea, smh..
The reasons these dolphins are kept in captivity is because they can't survive on their own, they were either hurt or abandoned, but what I'm saying is they were rescued, they'll die if they were freed, and they seem extremely well taken care of and enriched
Cat Jones. What does a sad dolphin look like? The dolphin “smile” is one of mother nature’s optical illusions. You do understand that they are not actually smiling. They have very little to smile about. A life of servitude. They swim in endless circles until they are trained and displayed to the paying public so that the owners of the aquarium make lots of money. Smile? I don’t think so
Look at their face. If they look bored, that's just their eyes. If their eye is closed, they're sleeping. Yes their smile is built in, but your arguement is flat. You can't tell if they're sad.
Please don't orcas and dolphins don't like it at aquariums they'd rather be free in the ocean they get psychotic when they're here I think that Georgia Aquarium is amazing and that they have a little bit bigger pools for their dolphins and beluga whales but I hate to see creatures in these tiny little cages.

Ever since I worked with dolphins in an internship I need to return to them... so cute
I am 13 and I have known since I was 4 that I wanted to be a dolphin trainer. I figured out that I wanted to work specifically at the Georgia Aquarium 3 years ago when I visited with my family. I love these amazing creatures and I hope to work at the Georgia Aquarium in the future.
I wasn’t 4 but I think 10 when I went to sea world I saw the trainers and got to talk with one. I really want this job
Same I really want to do this since I was like 6
Both of you please don't you'll be supporting a place that keeps orcas and dolphins in a tiny little pool for their whole life and only live 20 to 30 years when in the wild they can live even longer
We can do what we want. Actually research before u comment
@@lpscockerspaniel1082 You don't understand how much research I've been doing over the last 4 to 5 years maybe don't jump to conclusions before you comment
Here are common sense reasons how we know that aquariums and zoos take care of their animals:
Why would they animals look so happy?
My dream as well, remember my name, melia
@@4Dolphinity Sadly, however, the boomer-ass people at World Animal "Protection" want to ruin your dream. Lets hate on them here because they think they can lie to us that aquariums lie to us about their animals, when this video makes me realize, no, these aquariums take amazing care of their animals.
@@theallusechannelthis is not their natural habitat. This aquarium is far too small to the freedom that they rightfully deserve in a big blue ocean!
This is a dream I can do this
People don't get it these places are not okay for animals do the research in the research will show that they become psychotic did you know that back then Dolphins at places like this actually get torn apart from the rest of their family boats will heard them into coves with sound and many died in this process and then they sort them out from young male and female and then places like swim with dolphins programs I think SeaWorld it to I don't know if Georgia aquarium did it but maybe they did would take out the prettiest Dolphins no cuts on their fins or anything like that and then they'd leave and then the rest of those Dolphins would get killed it's straight-up facts
-Orkid Marvles- they don’t just get random dolphins... these dolphins were rescued and unable to release. If they released them or never rescued them they would have died.
People might think they are like seaworld *BUT NA AH* they are *BETTER* they don't force them *THEY TAKE CARE OF THEM especially THEY DON'T STARVE THEM*
SW doesn’t starve its animals either.
How can I find a job like that
Hi my names Charlotte and to be a trainer for these beautiful and cute animals is a dream of mine any tips and tricks in how to succeed in this dream, please cause this career means a lot to me ❤️🐬
I would run through fire and across hot coals nude and without any fire protection to have this job got to swim with dolphins in Cancun Mexico and roatan Honduras it was one of the greatest things I have ever experienced I’ve loved dolphins for pretty much my whole life even now that I’m a 20 year old adult man i still have dolphin plushies sitting on my bed but I would love to have this job
I wanna be dolphin trainer and play with them everyday all my life🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬
Awesome. I 💕 this animal more than I can say . I wish I could stay sometimes with dolphins but in my country Bangladesh there is no option to come across . Anyway love you too guys.
This is my dream job , i always adored dolphin since i was little but whenever i mentioned about becoming a dolphin trainer , my mom always said that " no that type of job is kinda dangerous for you , i m aware if they might eat you or something so no means no full stop just be a teacher instead "
Now that is my #1 favorite animal known as bottlenose dolphin. To help bottlenose dolphins, donate to Wildlife Conservation Society at 2300 Southern Blvd in Bronx, NY 10460.
Hashtag to my #1 favorite animal known as Bottlenose Dolphin is 🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬
People really need to educate themselves. It’s shocking how many people think this is “cute” or “sweet”.
if I was a dolphin I will do every trick
Hire me! I've got all the education, I just need the title and chance!
How do u know which is which
Hi! I am a girl who study`s dolphins everyday in her free time, dolphins have very unique attributes about each and every won, they also have different tones of the same clicks and noises, theree lots of ways to tell them apart but those are just 2

I wanna be a Dolphin traineira in Georgia Aquarium
I want to work here when I grow up... But I can guaranty you if I did get the job witch I probably wouldn't because I am not a great swimmer. I would be and feel out of place I wouldnt be the trainer that was bffs with the others I would try to but they would push me away thats how its always been for me thats why I couldnt imagine not working with animals there the only ones that get me. But anyways I love this aquarium
you need to pass a departmental swim test (according to the website) so if you want to, try training. I want to be a trainer and I'm a great swimmer you've just gotta train! Best of luck💛
They like the oceaan not to work
lol
so why do people say they get abused when they get trained?
Watch 'The cove' for some TRUE information. You welcome...
Like how you convinced know one on your opinion.
"We spend more time at work with the trainers in the Dolphins and we do with our own family"
Me that's heartbreaking
O
How awful. Those poor creatures held captive in a tiny pool. They should be in the wild! 😞
alisonjar shut up
LISTEN, most dolphins in aquariums are rescue dolphins!
@@colewrob27 shut up you don't know what your talking about.
William Iaconetti wow took you four months to get the nerve to respond 🙃
poor your mum for not getting rid of u!!!
THESE DOLPHINS HAVE THE WORK ETHIC OF GERMAN SHEPHERDS ''THEY LOVE TO LEARN AND WORK''
Except that dolphins are wild animals and should not be domesticated, especially not for pure greed!
Lol. This place is non profit, they use the money to rescue marine animals.
And where's your proof? The internet. Without recording or actual GA photos of abuse.
SeaWorld also rescues animals, by the way. :)
Please let the dolphins go free! they belong to the see
Even the ones born in captivity? 🤷♀️
It’s sea…
You guys must leave these amazing animals alone, let them be, they were made to live in the wild/ ocean, stop keeping them in captivity, I am sick and tired of you guys interfering with their lives, if they need rescuing or medical attention, we can assist them but release them afterwards, just let them be sea world, or rather pool world, because the ocean is the actual sea, smh..
Servant Of Jesus Christ not that I’m disagreeing but the dolphins look happy
The reasons these dolphins are kept in captivity is because they can't survive on their own, they were either hurt or abandoned, but what I'm saying is they were rescued, they'll die if they were freed, and they seem extremely well taken care of and enriched
Hey! Take your hate to sea world. They decide to train killer whales. You must be lost.
The dolphins look happy here. Do they look sad to you?
Cruelty, trainers are lessharted people, they enjoying the suffering of the dolphins!
Uh, no.
@@emmarose4234 Uh Yes
Prove it.
Please prove it lmao
Shame on you #captivitykills #emptythetanks
Okay, just curious: what are your thoughts on what should happen to non-releasable cetaceans, like everyone at CMA? Or even Morgan at Loro Parque?
I wanna be a Dolphin traineira in Georgia Aquarium
Please don't orcas and dolphins don't like it at aquariums they'd rather be free in the ocean they get psychotic when they're here I think that Georgia Aquarium is amazing and that they have a little bit bigger pools for their dolphins and beluga whales but I hate to see creatures in these tiny little cages.
Me too
@@ulisesmarvels honestly how old are you? You sound like 10. No offense it's just are arguments are so bad it's something that would be immediately debunked on the university level when it comes out debates an research
