    16:05 I still remember just a few weeks before he passed away (RIP) Kobe was heckling Luka during a LA- Mavs game. Luka said that someone was cussing him out in Slovenian, when he turned around to see who it was, it was Kobe. I'm sure he learned beforehand, but I find it funny that he went out of his way to learn some Slovenian cuss words just so he can Heckle Luka.

      One of my fave stories was hearing how much Ichiro Suzuki used to trash talk in Japanese.
      At a grocery store here, my fave cashier is a deaf mute. He was “talking” trash to a coworker and I laughed.

      Crazy he was cooked at only 34 after that achilles , that was 2013 but the way he was playing in 2013 its like he found new life , no achilles or major injury he probably retires between 2018 or 2019 if he can stay healthy

    i never really noticed how important it was to just get in the gym and lift some weights even when i was playing basketball in HS... just to build that strength i would have needed in games... that foundation statement makes so much sense...I should have hit the gym more in HS

    the real difference between rubber and iron is the rubber resistance differentiate while pulling and releasing. it gets easier as your release slowly and gets harder as you pull.so its not even unlike the iron. iron is the same whole time its your muscles that feels it not the rubber. so imo rubber is safer and better for explosive trainings since you get the most resistance at the end of the pull and iron for slow and steady ones.

    Kobe's peers say the same things about him that Jordan's peers said about Jordan. They were just built different. 5 rings and the closest to Michael Jefferey Jordan we're ever going to see. And yet they still disrespect him. He wanted it so bad and pushed his body the limit to make it happen.

    I think the rubber band for shoulder warmup is great. It starts the muscle going. I have terrible shoulders and one workout I was doing overhead press with the barbell and it felt weird. Then I did a couple sets of shoulder extensions with the band, went back to the weights and it fixed the problem. Bands for your actual workout I’m not a fan of

    • @TheRealMindCrime
      @TheRealMindCrime  9 дней назад +1

      that makes a lot of sense. Ease into the workout with the bands so you don't pull something when switching to iron

    It’s pure insanity that some teams and players don’t use weights anymore. Mind boggling, nothing is a proven substitute for pumping iron.

    I train with X3 bar resistance bands over weight. The number 1 advantage is it saves your joints, especially as you age.
    However when I do resistance bands I go to full fatigue and diminish the range of motion.

    • @TheRealMindCrime
      @TheRealMindCrime  11 дней назад

      Interesting. So the bands might do me good at my age now

    • @86twin
      @86twin 9 дней назад

      @@TheRealMindCrimethey would. The key to building strength with bands is going to full fatigue throughout the entire range of motion.
      I bought X3, Harambe bands are a less expensive option as well
