- Today I do a reaction to a JxmyHighRoller video called When 'The Next Michael Jordan' Came Face To Face With Michael Jordan. Head over to their channel and shoot a like and subscribe, he's great! Link is below:
• When 'The Next Michael...
Latrell Sprewell really had a shot to be the next MJ. He had the skills and the guy could jump out of the gym. He just didn't have the mentality and he couldn't control his temper. A lot of people have forgotten how good he really was.
agreed. He had a more selfish attitude and that led to his doom. His whole "I got kids to feed" while asking for insane amounts of money basically ended his career
It’s crazy. You’re going over all the videos I’ve watched the last 3-4 years. But now with you commenting it gets an extra layer of enjoyment.
Greetings from Quito, Ecuador.
Wow thank you so much! Greetings!
He's making up stuff and is wrong about Harold Miner
Like they said on Highlander, "There can only be one".
☝️
I really think its unfair to compare anyone to Jordan, he's just on a different level. I actually love Kobe telling Jordan that he chose 24 because he was going to be better than him.
I agree. Living up to the jordan expectations are impossible
Kobe was such a Copy Cat loser version of Jordan. Not even close
@@TheRealMindCrime. Kobe didn't get close.
@@JenniferBaker-c4hlmfaooo aight
It's just great for male gossip
I remember playing NBA Jam when I was younger and if whoever I was playing chose the Bulls, I’d choose the Heat just to play with Harold Miner.
Nice! Bulls were fun but Pippen and Grant is not as good as Jordan/pippen could've been
Minor went to USC, played in the NBA just four seasons 92-96
☝️
I agree that people should stop wearing 23. You're asking for disappointment
☝️
An unsolicited advice to Antman if people were to compare him to MJ during interviews. Just extinguish it by saying:
"I'm not the next Michael Jordan, I'm the first Anthony Edwards"
Yeah Kobe did that. He said I dont wanna be jordan. I wanna be the best kobe bryant i can be.
Ray Allen pretty much looked like MJ on the bucks. Flying high dunking. Shooting lights out. And later on becoming the best shooter in NBA . Sad that injury lead him to becoming only a shooter . He used to slash like crazy
Yeah young Ray was different. He was a dunker on the iso as well as a off the ball 3 point slinger. Great player
@@TheRealMindCrime
If MJ was the Black Jesus, Ray Allen was the Messiah aka Jesus Shuttlesworth. 😃
Len Bias was the first "next Jordan" and we will never know how he could of turned out tragically.
💯
20:23 red Kerr, still my fave announcer. Has a ring. First head coach of the bulls.
yeah Red Kerr is a legend!
MJ’s play at 17:39 is from this game? That’s one of my favorite highlights of his.
Im actually not sure. Wouldn't be surprised though lol
Jordan getting business as usual is above and beyond against some of those Heat teams :)
Jordan's business as usual was good enough to do amazing things 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆
The fact that MJ average 27, 6 and 5 against him. We consider that regular basketball for him, but just look at those numbers for any other NBA player. That's how great Jordan was!
Exactly! ☝️
Mookie Blaylock is the only true mini Jordan not based on skills but looks
Mookie literally looks like a mini Jordan 😅
😆 🤣 😂
I compared baby Jordan to Pack Man back in the day.
Apt, I agree Miner and Pack did play similarly.
The whole 96 draft class was great. I don't remember minor as much.
Yeah outside of the dunk contests Miner was kinda a let down. He was really good in college
He was my favorite college player when at USC. Scouting was so shaky at the time they listed Miner at 6'8" (edit: maybe it was just an annoncer) but he played so far above the rim he got away with it until the combine. Also got to see him score 25 against the Jazz and hit a turn around fade away 3 to force overtime. Unfortunately he got injuries and probably could not even describe what defense is so he never earned another contract after his rookie deal.
Damn. I never got to see him have a good game in the nba but the heat were rarely televised back then lol
@@TheRealMindCrime I was at the game and still totally convinced he was gonna be a great. Mental toughness is the most important trait and that is why Jordan is head and shoulders above everyone else, except maybe Bill Russell, that dude was a Jedi.
Kobe Bryant is closed to Michael Jordan level 💯👍🏿👌🏿
The closest I've ever seen
Not even close. You're Dreaming
20:42 A Danny Ferry sighting!! With all the drama on his draft night, man did he do absolutely Nothing on the court or in the back office
Andrew Wiggins was compared to LeBron lol
yeah that's true lol
I was lucky to grow up seeing Jordan play and he’s my GOAT,THE GOAT,THE ONLY GOAT and let me tell you he was a different kind of animal
Me too. Makes me so happy i was born in 82 and my brother made me watch basketball immediately and put the ball in my hands at 5 yrs old. MJ is still my hero.
It's cringe(2 me) to see Kobe on the same line with lefraud. I don't recall 2 or 3 of the lower guys from the panel but with the exception of the lediva everyone else at least had one skill or weapon on the court similar or quasi similar to one of MJ's, some of them could fly from 1 or both legs(Vince i think was/is the best dunker in and out of the game so far thou i'm not sure about their verticals), some of them almost had his shooting ability(Ray, Wade, Kobe), some of them could play both ends of the floor(Kobe, Rider, Finley), some of them had the same flow and grace on the floor(Kobe, Grant Hill, Iverson), some of them had the same fundamentals, same 1-2 dribbles and shoot, some of them had the same control of the ball, some of them were closers, some good in of with plenty of moves etc...But still, none of them, even Kobe had it all or on the same level . Every time you compare 2 things it has to come to some similarities, isn't it? Or there's no comparison. And with the exception of both playing(well, one was playing, other is for half of his career now that loser that can only score when he's free) I will never understand why is lebum was and is still compared to MJ, his game lacks in all of these categories. Oh and btw, check him out when he's talking about "these guys should have never had to deal with the pressure ", wow, there was pressure until lefake one? Who knew? And for the most part if not all of them, these guys didn't invite the pressure like lemoron, none of them had a "chosen one" tattoo or do they?
Harold Minor would be an prennial all star in this no touch era
Maybe. He didn't pan out too well lol. He'd be like a Ja Morant type player I think. It sure would be fun seeing him dunk with the lane wide open like it is now though lol.
@@TheRealMindCrime 😂😂😂😂
17:57 I was thinking of this Nike commercial. If it’s the one I’m thinking he’s going down a list of nexts he’s supposed to be (Jordan…. The next iceman…) at the end he says he wants to be the first Harold Miner. A lot of weight thrown at him
In order, G. Hill easily couldve been the next MJ, but injuries ended his run before he ever hit his prime. Vince had all the attributes except the killer mentality to take him to that MJ/ Kobe level. Then theres Kobe the closest to ever get to holding the crown in his hands just not able to put in on. And the most unfortunate story of H. Miner who wouldve had a great NBA career had he never played the real GOAT, Michael Jordan.
Bron has no post game so he can't be compared to Karl Malone. His assist are forced which is why the Magic comparison stopped. But I would still compare him to Magic.
Agreed
Minor didn’t wear 23 in the nba it was 32
I know. But he was famous in college and wore 23. I even have one of his college cards somewhere
Just shooting the sh*t: I think Anthony Edwards was deliberate in making that statement, so now he'll be uncoupled from Jordan comps and expectations. I remember Pietrus from the French national team, he was of similar stature to Jordan and could really elevate, he just didn't have the overall game and his defense was subpar for NBA competition. Miner might have thrived as a role player but carrying that "Baby Jordan" moniker killed his career. He had some injuries but chose not to rehab and get back in shape, he was only 25 years old when he retired. It would take some mental juice to be a competitive NBA player, and that doesn't even include being placed in unfair comparisons.
You might have a point. We definitely won't be comparing him to MJ anytime soon unless we see some serious dominating from him and earns it.
I checked my basketball collection that only spans 90-93 and it reminded me how many players pass through the league without making a lasting impression.
yeah I go back and look at my old cards sometimes too and so many times its "oh mannn, I forgot about this guy"
Nobody ever said Iverson was the next MJ nobody that knew/ knows basketball
we didn't compare him to MJ but he definitely shocked us as something we've never seen before
Ant Man(not the comic book character) has to learn humility while he is young and not years later when his career is over. Sorry, but I feel that is the most important aspect of an athlete.
I agree!
From entire list, only vince carter looked to me like new mj.
Grace and athleticism was there.
Yeah for a while there i thought so too
T-Mac?

This video is funny as well as interesting. All fans who said Michael would not be able to do something in the current Era, Michael would have proven them wrong. I don't understand this guy sometimes. Once you make him mad, he will torture you. This is the only person I see that is like that.
Poor kid lol
I know.....he's crazy like that lol. Once he sets his mind to something that;s it....it's game on
Jordan went easy on rookie Reggie Miller in comparison.
He gave Reggie the business too lol
Hey mind crime. Love the channel. Love all the content about the goat debate, which isn't even a debate at all lol. And I just wanted to point out that the first time Jordan retired, came back, lost to Orlando, and then won his second 3 peat with the same organization he started with. He didn't jump ship like LeBron. He toughed it out and had the least supporting cast in finals history in 97 and 98. LeBron does not have the mentality that MJ had. MJ the goat all day.
Exactly. Thats why i respect him so much. He built up the bulls into a dynasty twice. Only common denominators were phil, mj, and pip. Its amazing what they pulled off. Thank you for the kind words!
For some reason the audio cut out for a little at around 3:54, nice reaction tho and we all know there's only one Jordan.
Oh weird. It did. Good catch. I have no idea why that happened lol
Seeing Lebron on the chart. I think Lebrons biggest mistake was starting to mirror MJ stat lines. He should have tried to be a better Magic. Try to average better than 13 assists a game and score like 20. He has the joking smile thing going and wanting to be friends with his teammates. He really should have concentrated on seriously passing the ball around and his team should have got him a big man and some scorers.
While we're at it, "I can be the next Steph" is an illusion. His height and frame might be below average by NBA standards, but it's another factor that makes it deceptive. No-one should get the same greenlight as himnwhen taking his kind of shots.
At least Trae knows that he is his own player. He has his ranged shots, but he treats them as his sidearm. His main weapon is his passing.
Hill got hurt...
Sky was the limit...
Harold Miner went to USC. DEFINITELY remember the Baby Jordan comparisons. I felt bad for him when he came in the league, and how many times MJ used to cook him. 😅😀😃😄😁😆😂🤣😭
😆 🤣 😂
@3:07 LOL. I did the same thing with Larry Johnson, Eddie George, and Grant Hill. Only Grant Hill kinda panned out but I don't have the rookie card that sports memorabilia graders want to sell at auctions.
Oh man i have so many larry johnson cards too 😆
He number 32 not 23 but the fact he was called Baby Jordan and didn't stop them from calling him that. I mean he did in college
Yeah he was already famous for wearing 23 in college. Heck he was so hype I even have a Harold Miner College card somewhere here
Hi finally first, I'm dad
Aww...you got second. Here's a trophy anyway. 🏆
@@TheRealMindCrime ah you didn't have to lol

he could have been a lot better without all those comparisons
That "the next jordan club" was written by a clown. Antwan jameson and Garrnett? Lmfao
Gerald wallace? Elton Brand? Not even guards lol Rashad mccants was never compared to jordan lol
Minor went to USC
We never compared Jamison to MJ, not even bcse he came from UNC the 3 players I kno who came frm UNC who were compared to MJ are Stackhouse, Vincanity and Rashard Mccants no one else frm UNC.
Ha, ha. I'm a couple years younger than Mike. yes, Kobe is the one . Mike had bigger hands.. Kobe, gave Jordan 55. Shut this conversation down .leave flopping James out.. the east was weak as shit when James went to Cleveland, the first time.😅
yup, Kobe was the next Jordan. Didn't surpass MJ but damn he came close! lol

"...most egregious cases of fans getting ahead of themselves," said unironically by a fervent LBJ fan. Oi vey.
2:33 Offscreen, but Kobe's quasi-360 dunk looks/feels like it was facilitated by a crab dribble 🤣 LeBlame def learned from the best 🤣
Neither Penny well my era tht is always compared Penny to Magic bcse of his height and being a PG but never to MJ neither TMac. TMac played Aggressive Yes and like a Man on a Mission but I dnt ever remember him being compared to MJ neither AI but hey I probably missed something then.
Im finally first.
Woahhh. 🏆 🏆 🏆
Overachiever
To have Lebron next to kobe on the second tier there is extremely ofensive to me. He mever came close to any of the skills or fundamentals or intangeables of the other 2. Only athleticism, of which he head the best natiral head start. He is in his own catagory of underachievers.
Lebron is more like a less good Malone/Magic hybrid than a Jordan
@@TheRealMindCrime always seen him as a less skilled more athletic malone type
Curry never developed a mamba mind of his own, so never had Jordan-like leadership. A player seeking to be the next curry is more attainable than one seeking to be the next Jordan.
Uh well good luck trying to find the next Curry cuz I don't think his shot-making ability can ever be replicated. He is one of one. 😂😂😂
@shyamnatarajan5149 practice is what makes curry's shot. Players need only practice the way he does. I wonder what could've been if curry and Bron became their own mambas. If curry's shot and Bron's youthful talent were accompanied by tough minds and leadership, who knows.
Technology makes it possible
'im' NOT a 'Kobe fan', BUT Kobe Bryant was a great player, BUT Kobe was NOT ANYWHERE NEAR Michael Jordan THO [-N-O-B-O-D-Y- was 'and' -N-O-B-O-D-Y- is].
