This helps. My technics 1200mk2 has intermittent sound coming from the left channel. I’m thinking it’s one of the 4 tonearm contacts that may be corroded. That or has a contact issue. The turntable was moved around a couple of years ago and I don’t think was packed well.

Several possibilities for an intermittent channel, at least these are fairly easy to work on assuming it’s a wiring issue.
What is the purpose of the mute circuit ? other than the obvious of course
So you don't get that 'thud' or 'pop' when the stylus is dropped on the record.
