Host Mike Sabounchi is back with his trusty Lexus GX470 off road build on 35-inch Nitto Recon Grappler A/Ts to see this trail for the first time. Fortunately, he brought along two people who are very familiar with it. First is Chris Corbett of Nitto Tire. He came out in his modestly-built 2019 Jeep Wrangler on 40-inch Nitto Trail Grapplers. Also coming along is Luke Shuman of Hazzard Fab Worx, who brought out his LS swapped Jeep YJ with a CJ nose and 40-inch Nitto Trail Grappler tires.
This is the kind of forest mountain road that is great to learn on and then come back to again and again. Both Chris and Luke have been driving it for decades, and there are always new things to explore. Since it’s only a couple hours outside of Seattle, it’s one of the best Seattle 4x4 trails that you need to hit. There are a bunch of Jeep trails in Washington state, so once you drive this one, keep exploring!

I remember doing the Naches trail back in 1976. We had a brand new 76 CJ7. With full time 4x4...All the old timers teased us about the full time , but we had a blast.

Naches is a beautiful area and Luke Schuman, owner of Hazzard Fab Werx in Spokane WA, has the perfect equipment for an off road trip like this one.

The meadow has a name .
The trail has a bit more historical information about it somewhere.
Just get out of your house and explore the planet .

No i;t's Government Medows. And the trail was known as the Meeker Trail, for the Meekers that founded Puyallup. My first trip over the Meeker trail was in 1961, and it was nothing like the trail of today. At that time you could see where the pioneers dug out side hills with pick and shovels and felled trees with axes to build the trail.

Another jeep with a pile of bolt on "improvements". I'm surprised he could get his jeep down that trail with those stupid fuc-ing. AS with most jeep people his jeep is equipped to cross the Australian Outback but, hes driving on a trail a stock WK2 could easily handle. He won't be driving that jeep in the rain. The WSP will make sure of it !! No tires out past the wheel wells in Washington.
